Hey, I'm going to hit 30,000 in a few hours, and I suppose, strictly I should wait unti then, but I'm so excited to be hitting that number! smile Now, if only I could figure out how to get the clickers to click the expensive paying ads...

I don't think I have any secrets. It just happened. smile Actually, I think one just has to be on the front page. Quite a few of my articles have managed front page of google, yahoo, and bing.

Am I missing something? How can you tell where someones hits are coming from?

See her hubs and you will see most comments coming from hubpages , if the comments links outside HP this mean the traffic coming from search engine.

My own traffic runs about 3 to 1 organic to HP.  Out of some 600 comments, though, only a small handful are from outside HP.  Perhaps a dozen or so.

@Im Chemist. That's one helluve non sequitur. The few comments I've had from outside, I'm deleted because they were spam. A few weeks ago, I had 2107 google, bing, and yahoo hits, and 105 hubpages hits. So, I think you need to rethink your conclusion. smile

Your logic is faulty.  Most of everyone's comments come from HubPages.  "Outsiders" don't really know about the whole "comments" thing.

@I'm Chemist. Nooooo. Hub Pages stopped being my major source of hits within a week. So far, today, I have 683 hits of which only 173 are from hub pages.

If I understand you correctly, that would mean you have your Google Adsense account plugged into another website that's also recieving hits.

            Is that correct?

@Nate, what?  I have no idea what you're talking about.

You don't believe that someone can hit 30,000 by selecting topics that people want to read about and nobody else writes about? I have another hot one coming up soon. Watch out for the next installment? smile

Um...you just said that Hub Pages stopped being your major source of hits. So I was curious about how you got 30,000 hits in two months if that's the case.

It has nothing to do with what I believe, it has to do with responding to the comment you made.

Google is the source of most of my hits with some comming from bing and yahoo. That is the normal source.

ImChemist suggested that most of her views were from hubbers because most of her comments were by hubbers.  She countered that most of the traffic to her hubs was from search engines since early on.
