I have had quite a success writing online. I have been writing for HubPages for three (3) years now. My real account has suffered heavily, and I'm trying to fight back. I tried Wizzley, but it was unsatisfactory.

I believe HubPages is recovering. I got $234 last month from HubPages. I thought of leaving, but I've changed my mind. HubPages will soon pick up. I want to encourage the newbies not to lose courage or heart. Give labor, and it will definitely pay out. Try to research your subject before creating a hub. Google will take care of the rest.

I'm doing party today! Funnnnn & lots of fun! Love you all smile smile     ★ ♡ ★

If you can get to $234/mo with grammar like that, I've been doing something horribly, horribly wrong. You see, I, too, have another, more successful account... that has yet to break the $6/mo ceiling, LOL.

OP, I think the reluctance is coming from the fact that we all know Hubbers who have been around this joint for many years, have perfect writing both on the forums and on their established Hubs (which are visible for us to see and judge for ourselves, unlike those of your very successful second account) and they are not making anywhere near that amount.

I make my living writing online, and I've made well over $15,000 over the course of my career, but I'd say less than .01% of it has come from HP. It's a great site, I'm not knocking it, but traffic is what it is and just "giving labor" is definitely not all it takes to earn a living on here. So people are naturally going to be a bit suspicious when someone comes on the forums using less than stellar grammar, with only 1 follower, claiming to have a wildly successful second account. I'm not saying it's impossible that you do have another very successful account, but just understand where the red flags are coming from.

Thanks Simone. I'm just encouraging the newbies here. You already know, it's possible to earn that much from HubPages, and people have earned here like $3800 per month.

Anyway, my lucky number is 9. smile

MindExplorer1, you haven't addressed Loksmi's question yet: "But it would have been more encouraging if you had used your successful account to post this thread."

In fact, all of us are waiting... we don't want to be taken for a ride with lies, lies, and more lies! And you seem to be consciously avoiding offering any solid proof. What's so difficult about using your real account, rather than a newly created one? I can also claim that I made $234, not in one month, but in one day, if I don't need to give any proof.

Marye Audet, right? That's all we want to know. At least this one looks authentic. A hubscore of 100 and:

Total earnings from HubPages to date: over $41,000

I agree with your post. But then, people who join HubPages for the first time, see the 'success stories', with Marye Audet's face being in the front of the line. Now talk about hoaxes.)

I am intrigued - by giving this person so much publicity are we in fact helping her to earn more money than we can ever hope to earn!!!  - That $234 must have increased three-fold by now!!!!  Makes you think she's definitely the smart one.

The way to encourage people is offer help and advice. Simply stating what you earned may well have the opposite effect and demotivate writers who have been trying so hard to achieve success on HubPages.

Sadly, whilst you may have had good intentions MindExplorer1, I tend to agree with what has already been said. Until/unless you are prepared to share your real Hubber name and some information as to the means of your success, this is a pretty pointless thread.

I honestly don't understand why people post about their success but aren't willing to show off their best hubs. Surely there would be nothing but positives showing it off to more people AND they can't copy the content.

Anyway, I saw someone on here say they are just about ready to quit. For those who do feel like quitting just remember you're only a failure when you give up not when you don't see the results you were expecting, its very crowded at the bottom of the ladder therefore there is a lot of space at the top, and finally you only have to be right once.

It's laudable to motivate one another in this community, but when you have to resort to lies to do so, I don't think it's right. MLMs often do stuffs like this to motivate their distributors and many have landed in court, paying millions in damages.

Bella, you are right. In every MLM, you hear people making millions. But when we join, we can't even make 1% of that. It's been said that for every 400 people who join Amway, only one will make it to direct distributor. And that's a mere 0.25% success rate, just to reach the first level. That anyone can make $1 million doesn't mean anything at all to me. I don't even bother to read success stories... they are, well, after all, just stories.

We just assess our own abilities and not be led to Timbuktu by so-called "motivators". If these "motivators" give us any tips, we test them out and see if it works. That's how we improve ourselves. But if people just blow hot and cold air, without giving even one single tip, let's not waste our time with them.
