   Wow. A broad question about whether sexual relationships between family members is ever ok has become this argument about a society swamped with genetic disorders, as though the whole world is waiting for the rules to change so everyone can indulge in a little incest.
   
   For most people, I think the idea of a relationship with a family member is the last thing they would ever want. It's a hideous, sickening thought for most of us and I seriously doubt that many would contemplate it. No slippery slope.
   
   The real question is, if there was a genuine couple you came across in life who were related but wanted to be together romantically, would you say that's their right to choose to do that?

    I don't get it, Mr.voodoo apologized.  It is some sort of misunderstanding, and frankly I don't see the reason to keep arguing over something that is to be honest, Ridiculous.  Every single person is entitled to their opinion.  It is a right and a privilege that we have.  You know, free will and all that.  The fact of the matter remains, there is a historical basis of incest.  Not that I am condoning it, but it has happened and will continue to happen.  Nothing that we say or do here will change that fact.

    However, There are parts of the world that accept that sort of.. relationship. Like Habee said, First cousins in the south would marry to keep land in the family. The Egyptians had brothers and sisters marry, for the sake of the country. Look at Cleopatra.
