I'd write a few myself (research on this type of hub so painful ) but I know next to nothing about Indian films. I've seen, um, Monsoon Wedding, Water, Lagaan, and Bride and Prejudice and I think that's it.
Ewan was good too. I saw Antonio in Mask of Zorro(and he is a good dancer too). I also saw al pacino (can't remember the movie he is a blind man who has a desire to dance and drives a ferrari and so on) he also danced well. I don't know about Efron. Oh yeah their are plenty. Only thing unlike Indian movies with atleast 5/6 dance numbers in every movie here they have separate genre called musical but never in the regular movies. Thanks for that video link and refreshing my memory.
I am such a sucker for a dance movie I should really watch more Indian movies for that reason alone, but I don't really know where to begin.
Also, I just realized I completely forgot to mention Patrick Swayze earlier. I am honestly not the biggest fans of his movies, but that's inexcusable for a dance movie fan!
I enjoyed Diego Luna and Romola Garai in Dirty Dancing Havana Nights, too. (Should I be publicly admitting that?) It was a dumb movie, but they are both very charismatic and had nice chemistry together and some good dance scenes. Like I said, sucker for a dance movie. *g*
Even I love dancing and it is such a visual treat. I am sure you would love Indian movies if you love dances. Let me know if you like western dance or folk dance and I will compile some videos accordingly. Thanks kerry for the link. Btw I made a request for Hottest Dancers in Hollywood: http://hubpages.com/request/9013/best
I suppose if I had to choose, ballet and ballroom would be my favorites, but don't make me choose. I studied Javanese dance in college, went totally gaga over Radha Kaise na Jale and some of the other dance scenes in Lagaan, go to (watch) local pow-wows, tried a little Irish Step and belly dancing at various points, and watch old Britney Spears videos with the volume turned way down. I am a pretty equal opportunity dance enthusiast.
WOW!!I didn't know you were so talented. I want to learn some exotic dance too but will wait till the time is right. That lagaan song is too good. I love the first video of britney and loved Michael jackson for a long time. Madonna and kylie minogue are good too. I can compile some of the favorite bollywood videos into a hub. Btw I once saw a polish folk dance with their costume and music which was simply too good. I love traditional European folk dances. I also like tap dancing. Belly dancing is my brother's favorite (guys will be guys)
Hee, I said I studied it, not that I was good! I have much more love and appreciation for dance than actual talent for it. The only kind I could really be said to be good at is ballet, and that's just because I studied it forever. My kinetic intelligence is very, very low so I have to do something 50,000,000 times before I do it well. But, it's fun to try!
If I have daughter I will enroll her in ballet it is so graceful to do on the toes those maneouvers. You must be an expert in it by now. Yes you are right. As they say the joy is in the journey and not just the destination. We would have so much fun trying to do it right (of course if one is a movie dancer than umpteen number of retakes wouldn't be fun for the Director)..
Btw Aamir/salman/SRK are more or less 2/3 years apart hence all are in their early 40's. I guess guys are overly obsessed with muscles(but wait a minute have you seen HR's muscles). HR dances so well and of course SRK has the screen presence which to a certain extent Aamir has (although he is a great actor). Salman showed great promise in Maine Pyar Kiya but after that his acting in none of the other movies is that good (oh yeah removing his shirt he can't hide his acting skills)...
Shinu- It is quite an honor to receive a request from you who is a phenomenon on hubpages in publishing actors/actresses gallery. I will try to do my best to assemble the hottest guys from all woods...
This gave me a new idea. Why don't we Start a Indian Hubbers Request Thread, so that we can request local actors or actress photos or current events and anything and post the links of hubs that we publish in that thread , so that we can comment easily on such hubs and review it. It will be a good thing, to start such a Single Thread in Extreme Hub Make over section..
Honestly it's not. I just don't see how it is that photo galleries of copyrighted images are both acceptable and encouraged as Hubs on Hubpages. This is a site for writers, isn't it? I really missed the memo if not. I could've been posting galleries of hot porn stars (with their clothes on) all this time and I didn't know it.
That means tough competition coming in entertainment topic.
Only Foreign Sites use "Papparazi" photos that will be unique in each website. Such photos only have copyright.
Well if you restricted yourself from doing this - it was your own decision.
And I never read anywhere that Hugpages is the site exclusively for writers. Anyway, don't see any reason to come back to this old discussion - both sides already said all that could possibly be said on the issue, just wanted to say hello
I, too, was wondering when you were going to show up.
Honestly, the copyright issue makes me uncomfortable, too, but I find the occasional photo hub to be a fun break from my usual serious fare, and I actually end up spending as much time on them as the other kind because I do feel the need to create enough original content to justify the use of the pictures. YMMV, of course.
I asked the Indian question because I am curious to know why there was such an abundance of hot Indian hubs. I find it insulting that my hubs do not get anywhere near the amount views. If I wanted to compete with these types of hubs then I could go on a porn forum. At least there you can find some real wack off material.
Weblog: I do not complain in the forums. If you think that me wanting know why so many people write trashy hubs just to get their numbers up is complaining....well, then that is your problem.
As far how I spend my time...I think I do pretty good at finding time to write and promote being that I have two jobs and a complaining wife that hates the fact that alot of my minimal free time is spent with my nose in my laptop.
Weblog- Just bygones be bygones. If somebody feels better after saying those things than that is up to them. We can't control others actions but we can certainly control our reactions. Just by saying something like that it doesn't change anything. I always believe Mahatma Gandhi's philosophy of passive resistance brings about more good then active reactions in the long run. We never know in what mood or what situation the other person is and hence it is better to ignore sometimes. How many times we forget to appreciate some one when they are right but on the other hand we find it easy to point out when they may be "wrong". Hope you do understand and give him the benefit of doubt my friend.
Thank you. I hear it loud and clear. You are here for past 4 months, right? This kind of accusations against picure hubs are much much older than that period. Just wanted to let you know that
I was already tired of arguing on that, thanks again And, I'm not interested in limiting myself in publishing picture hubs. I'm just saying that the new people complaining here would do much better if they could spend their time reasonably in hubbing.
Lita - Picture hubs don't pay much actually when compared to many text-oriented, though pic hubs get lot of traffic!!
Imadork- Misha just says things sometimes without intending to hurt. He says things to stir the pot so that he gets more conversation. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. Btw I am big fan of Jim Carrey and love his good clean comedy acting.
Misha- Now that you are a saint I hope we see more saintly conversation and choice of words. I hope you do spend more time in forums as we like your friendly conversation which at times as mentioned above could be pushing your "stirring the pot" tactics to the limits.
wow really??? WILLY NILLY joining peoples fans clubs can give you thousands of fans and also be respected and loved by so many people then i too want to do the same dude.. Be Willy Nilly, Instead of being silly by sticking your nose where it doesn't belong If you feel the heat, then shut up and retreat No one will notice the dorks' gone...
Aww, thank you CW-girl, I am really flattered by your opinion about me. Have to disappoint you though - I am not THAT angelic. When I see people trying to overstep their bounds and step on other people toes, I often take my time to try and push their buttons, and to enjoy the results *evil laugh*
I am doing good. But I see this whole thread about Hot Indian Chicks and nobody wants to listen to a "Indian Chick"(even though I may not be "hot"). I guess men and their competitive instincts never rest. Be it at work, play, watch or recreation (like these forums). If you guys seem to really enjoy this then by all means do engage in this game further. I am getting out of here (now not a conducive place for a "Indian Chick" among tough players)
When boys fight, unless they fight for survival, they usually fight to impress a girl. And this is not a survival fight, mind you
On a side note, you are "hot", in a sense that the real beauty is inside. Don't get me wrong, you might be hot "outside", too - but we never had a chance to see this. Yet we watch your beautiful soul in action every day
WOW!! I take that as a compliment. Anyway that was a picture taken after 2 hours of make up by my friend(professional beautician in India) and then followed by a Professional photographer taken for Marriage proposals earlier this year when I went to India. Of course without make up and all that professional photography not that pretty
Thanks Lita for that support. But I feel I look very homely and dress conservatively hence people generally consider me not "hot".
Iamdork- I am glad that you are having fun. Which is an important purpose at hub pages to learn, discuss and have fun.
Ashwin- Thanks for those beautiful roses. No worries and I will stick on now since things are back to normal. Btw nice young girl avatar picture you have their
She is a beautiful 5yr old angel. As for the flowers you deserve much more beautiful flowers than the one i got for you Miss CW.. i had a feeling the picture was yours as i have never seen an actress looking like your avatar before unlike other profiles where the actresses were recognizable. I was spot on. You look beautiful
I guess somebody(beautician & photographer) did a good job after all. Thanks for the compliments about kindness and all. You are a wonderful person too and hope to see more comical interactions from "Jim Carrey"
Oh thanks for that compliment. But honestly it is a tall order to look that good every day (trust me you haven't seem me in the morning when I get up to brush my teeth in the mirror the way I look). But honestly I would certainly prefer some one not just focusing on externally but more on internal beauty which grows over a period of time unlike external beauty which decreases over a period of time.
Miss CW looks like a star in her own right.wow. aww man, my alarm just rang. i have sat at my pc for 7 whole hours since 11pm without realizing . Its 6.15am now. shucks im lack of sleep. got to go to work... Goodbye Friends and Miss CW.. HUG AND KISSES from your first love.
Lita- First when I joined I was surprised why so many people were asking about my profile photo and then thought I should change it to a generic flower or something since even I saw many actress and pets photo avatars. But I guess I just stuck on. I never thought of myself as a very beautiful woman (since I am wheatish complexion and more ever not that tall only 5 3). But I guess I look lot more photogenic then in person.
Ashwin- You really make me blush now. Anyway it feels good to be complimented on looks but honestly with out make up and all not that pretty. I am really overwhelmed with this attention and flattery. Now I wish I should have that make over done and go to office everyday like that then I would get so much attention even at work place.
Only if that was true. In our culture we first see the family, general profile exchange, then the horoscope matching, then formal meeting and then if everything goes well finally marriage. Therefore their are very tough parameters which eliminates a lot of suitors. It is a pretty complicated process but proven to work for thousands of years hence I have no problem with that.
With or without makeup CW must still be beautiful. Inner beauty has a way of adding a glow to a person's face too.
My mate and I met online, and even before we knew what each one of us looked liked physically we fell in love with each other's spirit. I kid you not, I kissed the computer when I realized I had met my match, LOL, and I was not even looking for a partner, had turned down dates, as I wanted to be alone after 7 years of a very unhealthy relationship. Its now 5 years and its been a blessing to be in this relationship- we are like two kids, and he feels the same way too.
Violet- Thanks for those nice words about me(how I wish that was true). I am so happy for you that you found your true love and having a blessed life. I wish you both a long happy married life. You know when my mother treats me like a kid I tell her that I am grown up now and she tells me "you are a kid until you have a kid" No Kidding.
Well in southern India many girls have light brown complexion which is called wheatish. Nothing like good or bad just that we in India generally want to look fairer(guys like fair girls) and my mother makes all this home made concoction pastes with turmeric and flour to make us fairer (besides using the various "Get Fair" creams). When I first came to Nebraska and on a weekend went to Omaha then near the Dodge street saw a tanning saloon(and I was laughing when I heard people pay money to get dark which is quite the opposite of what we do in India)
Bisque is a good complexion and you must be quite a head turner. Maybe I didn't have my radar up and running to know if anybody liked me for being "exotic". Well their was an Indian guy in the University who was interested but I never bothered much at that time and he left after that semester when he graduated(don't even know where he is now). When I was studying I had immediate goals like getting a good GPA this semester, finishing my assistantship work for my prof and then upgrading some skills to get an internship (which would help me in getting a full time job later). I guess I always knew I didn't have to worry about that part since parents are their to do that for me.
Shhh (let some things be a secret until they materialize). Oh him yes I had a brush with him and just feel it is best to ignore certain conversations. Read this you will know what I am talking about: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/2057?page=5
Hope you get your christmas shopping done in time and have a great day
I'm assuming this kind of content drives a lot of traffic--and I heard from somebody that it really doesn't matter what the quality of content with this sorta stuff. The trick is to put a lot our there and the traffic will come.
I'm also thinking (an maybe somebody can tell me if I am right) that the dollar is still strong enough for all purposes in India, and adsense money (even small amounts) goes a long way.
I know you also try to write short stories because I remember you asked feedback on one awhile back. I thought it was a very creative story, which shows you are interested in other topics too . Do not fret, people just need to get to know you more . You know I am your friend .
i think i visited your new ones too and left some comments. But if you are talking about any latest ones which does not have my comments then i will go in the morning and check them out. For the past one week i didnt receive any emails regarding hub releases from any single hubber and that was really very odd because im so used to seeing at least 20 to 25 emails regarding new hub publishes every day. But the emails are coming in now ever since 2 days ago. I will go check your latest hubs section in the morning Div . going to bed now.

Perhaps this happens just to me -- I certainly hope not. On new hubs, before Google has had a chance to scan for ad sense keywords, the ads ALWAYS seem to be about dating single Indian women. My new toddler high chair...
