Liking it! I've only used the twitter share button so far and it seems that it uses the long url for the article I'm sharing rather than the shortened one which is a bit rubbish. Does anyone know how to get that shortened url?
Thanks for the feedback! This is just the first iteration of the static buttons. I will see if we can change the sharing URL(s) to use the short version.
Twitter doesn't (or shouldn't, at least) count the characters in the URL towards the 140 char max. I think if the text of your Tweet is short enough, more of the URL will be visible and vice versa. Let me know if you're having problems, though.
I have tried to share with followers a couple of times today, and I don't think that button works. Is it just me?? I love the Google+ button; sure saves time when sharing there.
I love these buttons, BUT did all our stats disappear with the old ones? It seems like I lost all that data and I was proud of the numbers of likes on some of my articles after having accumulated them over the years:(
These new buttons are looking great, it's nice to see that HubPages have made them in the style HP itself rather than the generic buttons that come from the social networking sites.
I'm loving the button for us Hubbers to share the Hubs we like with our followers as well. I might be wrong but I don't remember seeing that before.
I noticed tonight that the Flipboard share button is missing on all hubs. I checked a few niche sites and they are all missing. It doesn't matter if you're logged in or not. In addition, the problem I reported a few weeks ago with Pinterest banning ToughNickel is still not fixed.
The social network share button in hubs is too small for people to notice.I feel that if it is made larger more people can like/share our hubs, given they like it.
In our hubfeeds, there's a 'share' button under the hub for sharing hubs with our followers. Are you okay with using this button to share your own hubs with your followers or are you too modest? Is it appropriate to do or is it seen as similar to sharing your hub links which is frowned upon?
Is anyone else missing all of their share buttons? I can't even share on HP never mind FB or Twitter. I have no share buttons on my page. At first thought it was my iPad, but its my computer too.
