New superb share buttons replaces the old share buttons. These include share buttons of facebook, google plus, twitter, pinterest and hubpages.
Really awesome update from Hubpages.Hope they change the website layout too..
I hadn't noticed this yet - woohoo, those look fantastic! I'm off to go check them out on my hubs now!
Definitely time to add the G+ button back- and the others. Good going HP!
Liking it! I've only used the twitter share button so far and it seems that it uses the long url for the article I'm sharing rather than the shortened one which is a bit rubbish. Does anyone know how to get that shortened url?
Thanks for the feedback! This is just the first iteration of the static buttons. I will see if we can change the sharing URL(s) to use the short version.
When you shared the Hub on Twitter, did they (Twitter) not automatically shorten the URL?
I noticed that the url was shorten when I shared an article on twitter! Great job Marina!
No, Marina, all of mine included the long URL. Too bulky, I like the short one, more space to add lead-ins to the tweet.
Twitter doesn't (or shouldn't, at least) count the characters in the URL towards the 140 char max. I think if the text of your Tweet is short enough, more of the URL will be visible and vice versa. Let me know if you're having problems, though.
I have tried to share with followers a couple of times today, and I don't think that button works. Is it just me?? I love the Google+ button; sure saves time when sharing there.
A shortened url to your hub will appear at the top of preview as soon as you publish a hub.
Ooh I love it! I couldn't figure out what I was looking at to start with! lol!
I like the new look as well. This is a nice change black and white to match the the logo. not bad.
Wow! this is great. Can you include 'number of shares' as before?
Love those share buttons. I still need to know how to share publicly on G+ It is on a drop down menu I can't find.
@mary615. Thanks. I will go back again and read instructions for public viewing on Google+. It is nice to have that option again. I was surprised.
I love these buttons, BUT did all our stats disappear with the old ones? It seems like I lost all that data and I was proud of the numbers of likes on some of my articles after having accumulated them over the years:(
You can use Like Explorer to get the number of social shares for any URL. It's pretty nifty!
Yes.. I was had about 25 shares in one of my article. Now all disappeared.
Just saw this now. I like it and feel visitors may be more inclined to use them to share our works.
Great job HP
These new buttons are looking great, it's nice to see that HubPages have made them in the style HP itself rather than the generic buttons that come from the social networking sites.
I'm loving the button for us Hubbers to share the Hubs we like with our followers as well. I might be wrong but I don't remember seeing that before.
I think it would be more beautiful if the share count is also been included!!.. What do you think?..
Yes, share button not working. So I went to my hubfeed and shared the hub from there. It worked.
I shared one of articles in ebbea today. I diem face any problem.
Thanks for letting us know. The H+ button is having some intermittent lag issues, but we're working on it!

I noticed tonight that the Flipboard share button is missing on all hubs. I checked a few niche sites and they are all missing. It doesn't matter if you're logged in or not. In addition, the problem I reported a few weeks ago with Pinterest banning ToughNickel is still not fixed.

The social network share button in hubs is too small for people to notice.I feel that if it is made larger more people can like/share our hubs, given they like it.

In our hubfeeds, there's a 'share' button under the hub for sharing hubs with our followers. Are you okay with using this button to share your own hubs with your followers or are you too modest? Is it appropriate to do or is it seen as similar to sharing your hub links which is frowned upon?

Why Did HubPages Do Away With the Twitter Button To Share Hubs on Twitter?I see they replaced it with Flipboard. What was the problem they had with Twitter?

Why do we have no more share buttons on our hubs?First, the Google + button is no longer available. Now the rest (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest) are gone. All except for the Hub Pages button to share our hubs. Why did it happen?

The Pinterest Button has disappeared from by Hubs, even though I have opted to allow pinning.
