Day 2 and still stats, especially earnings, have not been updated  Is everything being put on the backburner due to the acquisition of Squidoo. It seems as though Hubbers should come first.

Paul Edmonson has posted a reply: The earnings data is delayed because of reporting bug/issue with google. They have escalated the issue and we are waiting for them to fix it.  As soon as it's fixed, we will update earnings.

      Aren't we all "Hubbers" now?

As someone who has been involved in a number of M&As I recognise that significant and unforseen events can impact on normal activities. I would prioritise ensuring that the most pressing and important ones were dealt with first and a minor delay in reporting would be low on that list.

My stats updated nine hours ago. Not to mention, Analytics stats are real-time with more info, and they have been active this entire time.

BTW, Linda, as I was with Squidoo for a few months longer than I've been here, should I count myself local or the enemy when you decide to start throwing slurs?

I would probably understand that the acquisition and transfer of over 175,000 new pages means the staff has their hands full, making sure the site continues to run smoothly, and doesn't come to a grinding halt.

Maybe a tiny delay in stats isn't the end of the universe, given the fact that the site is still up and viewable.

But hey, thanks for the warm welcome!

No.  Those are measured by Quantcast and by server logs.

I just hope that Google hasn't detected abuse by automated visits on HP, because there was a problem on the Squidoo site with people creating software programs to visit their articles and to game that system in other ways.

Really?  As if computer programs can't handle more traffic and money?  The problem is the programs they are using don't work well and/or crash, or else the vendors they use for data are having problems.

Work with big databases and volume has minimal impact. Humans coding errors have way more impact.

Has hubpages ever said their stats (the ones reported to us) are derived from quantcast?  That is not the normal business for quantcast - data like this usually comes via google analytics, adobe analytics or server logs.

I will say that my Google Adsense account has not updated in 3-4 days. It shows my daily earning but my combined earnings have not updates. I am assuming that since we get our Amazon earnings updated daily and it has just been the 'ads' not updating that it is most likely Google. Mind you, I am a Squidoo invader (lol) too, so there's a lot I'm still learning, but considering my personal Adsense hasn't updated either, my bet is that it's Google and not hubpages... just my two cents.

    1. Dressage Husband profile image68
Dressage Husbandposted 10 years agoin reply to this

Thank you, I have had no Adsense earnings either which is odd as I usually get several cents everyday, sometimes even dollars. I think that the increase in traffic of around 500,000 visits per day for Hubpages, since the acquisition may have something to do with it. Google police may not have realized just how much extra Squidoo was going to bring in and their auditor types may have put us on hold while they check it out, who knows?

However I am sure once they realize the increase is real and permanent we all will get what is due to us. Paul Edmonson is a real gentleman and I believe what he says. I for one am glad to be here and think this will fast become the best site for writers wanting templates and free hosting. The 60 40 split is also more than fair.
