   3. Instead of pets, I watch and feed the wild birds. They are amazing to see.

      My computer desk overlooks my front yard, which is mostly grass-free, and landscaped with native plants. A flock of cardinals has been visiting every day for the past week or so. And the hummingbirds seem to have taken up permanent residence since spring. They like to sit on the very fine branches of the desert willow, and bob up and down in the breeze.

         Having one's desk facing a window with an outside view truly is awesome. I don't have a window with a decent outside view, but my desk is positioned so that every time I look up it is a distance view. And that is excellent for resting the eyes.

   A guy got stuck on a cherry picker that wouldn't bring him down from my neighbours 3rd story roof. I had fun listening to his buddy trying to keep him calm, whilst panicking.
   I had tomatoes, peppers and beans from my garden with pasta for my dinner, delicious.
   A neighbor died, which would be sad, but she was elderly and very frail, she'd expressed a wish to die soon, and having spent a fun Sunday with her extended family she died peacefully in her sleep - a good death.

    1) Just got a new and potentially good gig on hubby's ballroom dancing classes. They aren't paying much but it's free advertising.
    
    2) The electricity is on and the internet/phone connection is paid.
    
    3) Hubby is getting introduced to my niece via helping her with math. (She's never met her uncle as we became a couple after I moved away.) It's also made me realize I don't totally stink at math. 
    
    4) I'm cuddling with my dogs.
    
    5) I just finished reading an excellent book.
    
    6) I'm back on the internet and writing after a major computer crash.
    
    7) And not least! After 10 years I'm still in love with the man I intend to keep forever. Even when he makes me nuts.

    I went to bed with a pinched nerve in my neck and woke up with it feeling way worse... on the bright side... I found some Valium that was around a decade old and if I take enough of em, they still work. I'm on #3 so far, my neck doesn't hurt quite as bad and I've only fallen asleep once. Boo yah!

    1.) I'm working as a freelance writer and getting paid to do something I LOVE to do!
    
    2.) Setting my own schedule may end up giving me a lot more time with my girls than I would have with them working a traditional 9-5 job.
    
    3.) I can still go running everyday!
    
    4.) My workplace has two cats, one of which is sitting on my feet right now
    
    5.) Now that I'm not spending every waking hour looking for work, I might actually have time to play my piano again...

    1. I've got fresh green beans in the garden that will be part of tomorrow's dinner. (My first batch of home green green beans ever.)
    2. I've been steadily updating my hubs, and have got quite a bit accomplished.
    3. There is a good pizza place pretty close to home, only about a mile away.
    4. I got some extra hours for my part time job this week.

       Wonderful indeed.  I am also in the process of revamping and revitalizing some of my lovely hubs.   I am supposed to have 500 hubs by the end of this year.  Well, NOPE, instead I was gallivanting in the forum and q/a sections.  However, I have 391 hubs presently.

    I wrote a hub with absolutely no research, well, I had to research for some images, but all the idea of the text came from my own mind.
    
    I went grocery shopping today and found the most beautiful peaches I have seen in a long time. I bought three and will make a peach cobbler as soon as they are ripe enough.
    
    Also, the Gala apples looked very good and I bought four. I love apples with cheddar cheese, crackers and a glass of  red wine.

    1. #7 of my offspring, her husband, and their little boy got back safely from the Middle East, yesterday.
    
    2. Most of the people who interact on the forums here are extremely helpful and friendly.
    
    3. I have the ultimate pleasure of working in my businesses with my grown children.
    
    4. Son #2 bought a coin changer at Goodwill for $7.99 and there were 8 of the gold plated Presidential memorial dollars inside it.
    
    5. The move from Squidoo to HubPages has been less stressful than I expected.

    1.)  My Mom is recovering nicely after rotator cuff surgery last week. She had fallen and dislocated her shoulder. 
    
    2.)  My Brother has recovered to about 90% wellness from St. Louis Encephalitis that he got from a mosquito bite this summer. 
    
    3.)  I have a lot to be thankful for with 1 and 2.

    1. My last day of work in my retail job is on Saturday. 7 long years done!
    2. I can focus on making a career as a video game journalist(or journalist in general)for hubpages.
    3. I've got the best friends in the whole world. If it weren't for them I never would have even thought of leaving my horrible job.
