Personally I dislike Google if I saw it on fire in the Gutter, I would not tip my cold cappuccino on it to put it out.
Its a nasty little organisation that needs some full on competition, by that I mean real competition..... Not just a replacement that is as useless.
Everyone wants to make money... Google is the only one doing it so lets face it Whats to love.
Not only doing it but making huge money, at the cost of us. Actually, Google is The Company and I want it burned to the ground.
Then I would suggest you not use Adsense and quit all sites that make money from the company.
You are looking alot better I like cats, who did the work. I might need some not as much as you, but just a few lines I dont like hahah
I've got rid of adsense you old goody goody, and why should I stop looking at sites because those twerps are on them Hello.
You are Uninvited so B>>>>>> off.
Hi mandybeau I also dislike Google a few years ago I was making on average £11,000 per month using what was known as Froogle at the time. Then Google changed everything scraped Froogle and launched Google Base this was a major downfall, £11,000 a month went down to on average for the past two years a measly £26 a month The money I was made from using Froogle all went into another venture I had going at the time which was a 100% free online auction with no fees but once the money stopped I was no longer able to support the running of the auction site and had to close it down. Google messed It up for me, but I am not bitter I just don't like them. However this does not mean you have to like everyone you work with!
Hell I made up a Hub and called it Froogle as a joke I didn't know trhat it actually existed. No it is a silly situation, with their entire system. Alot of the people on here are basically uneducated or so dirt poor they appreciate, what is basically the droppings of the rat.
You made that much Incredible.... But based on advertising I work in the Field, Advertising is worth big dollars so unlike many of the google fans onn here I don't appreciate, the meagre offerings especially since I don't even get those.
If you are going to war Mandy, I don't care why or who its against, I'm with ya. Viva La Revolucion! El Che!
You have to understand that google is not that ruthless as it seems, although they make money, alot of it, they provide quality service for people and are relatively generous, 80% profit back to the people for adsense, that has to be fair! Compared to 60% back to people in hubpages.
I have heard all the figures, but it makes alot in what it holds back. Just for instance disabled accounts, it has many reasons for disabling accounts, none make alot of sense as ads are meant to be seen. This is accross all the sites not just Hub pages, No stillthink that they are corrupt as hell.
somewhere i forgot, probaly from someone in forums or from hubpages.
While no official figure is given, I've heard plenty of talk that the Publishers get far less than 50%.
How did you get some many fans mangogirl in 2 days, i hardly got any fans..
I'll defend Google. (Even big corporations sometimes need a little defending, I think. )
They have hundreds and hundreds of thousands of people who try to earn money by having their ads on their site. A lot of those people wouldn't be earning any ad money if there wasn't the "Google option". They're a huge, huge, business; and they have to make a profit to keep running it. A person who really knows what he's doing (when it comes to Google) can earn a decent income from home; and Google offers that opportunity to anyone who meets their very basic requirements and follows the rules.
As far as closing down accounts goes, they have a reputation and legal matters to worry about; and they have to keep their advertisers happy, or there won't be any ad revenue for anyone, including them. They offer all kinds of help and "tools". I know if I'd take some time to do some of the things I should be doing (optimization), I'd be making a lot more than I do now. Who knows - I may run into some big problem with the in the future and be mad at them for some reason; but for now, I think they're great. It's a business deal. If any individual Hub performs the writer gets paid accordingly. As far as how far I'd go to "please" Google (not that there's a "Mr. Google" sitting in an office somewhere), I guess I just try to follow the rules they set out in their TOS; and if I didn't like them I'd "un-sign-up".
"Speeches" often come a little too easily to me. I'd like to add, though, that I wouldn't go as far as to say I "love" Google at all. There's no crying in baseball, and there's no love in business deals.
Well I dont think Google needs defending ,in fact they are well used to being challenged.
All part of business no doubt.
I do think they are greedy but then I feel that way about most mogul giants even M'cDonalds.
Money is what makes our big bad world go around how-ever, so as soon as Google disappears another fat cat will emerge.
I still remember when Windows Microsoft also receieved much the same critism and Google was just in its infancy days.
They have done well and delivered a service the people wanted.
Speed with accuracy.
As far as using people to make money , well of course thats what a business does to make money. Look everywhere , thats the name of the game.
Sooooooooooooo 2/3 Kiwi, you subscribe to the rule of : Rule by insecurity...
ohhhhhhh I dont follow ya there rule by insecurity statement?
and excuse me Im 100% kiwi made and grown in NZ , I fly the stars and stripes because to its fitting to my alegiance also Obama is in the house!!
Nope Che Wrote this Forum, and hes been out of the action since Bolivia.
Kia ora Eagle kiwi True and I love the flags
I love Google because it helps me to earn money I otherwise wouldn't have, but I despise Google for the fear it causes me every time I open my email box and expect that dreaded message 'Invalid clicks'. I have never clicked on my own ads, not even once at the beginning when such things are tempting, but does that make me safe?
Actually most of things you think you do to please BigG are misconceptions.
I'll <snipped by admin- that's pretty far, Mr. Voodoo, but a little too graphic >.
Don't forget to drink the koolaid too...
Psst Mandy did you know that the chairman of Microsoft is a Kiwi.
Wouldnt mind being on his payroll.
I didn't know, but if you had asked I would have guessed it right......
Successful means Kiwi yay.... Ive got a nerw little buddy, she is a cat at the moment, I can be a real cat hahahahahha Now wait, she isn't the cat shes the blowfly on its nose. Naughty.
Do you mean Kiwi origin? And also whom are you referring to Bill Gates or Steve Ballmer? http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/bod/bod.aspx
I think everyone would be happier if Google had several healthy competitors. Nobody wants their livlihood dependant on the whim of just one company. Especially given that it is remote, hardly accessible on any human level and deals with the world through a massive computer that can decide on its own if you have an income or not.
I do a lot of work online and have worked in business offline. I'm no kid, and I wasn't "brainwash-able" when I were three years old, let alone now. I'm not brainwashed, and I don't think too many other people are either. I know what I'm earning each month, and it's based on that that I see the Google arrangement more than worthwhile. I'd be earning more if I spent any time reading any of the "help" (or other stuff) on Google, but the other side to that is that I know I'm not "brainwashed", because I don't spend any time reading anything on, or about, Google.
So often when some people are not satisfied with something, but other people are, the ones who aren't will say that the others are brainwashed. One Hub that is in demand can bring in at least a couple of hundred dollars a month. It's not being brainwashed to be satisfied with that kind of earning potential.
Google Has the market in there hands and they will never let it go, also people do not sway even if the other is better they do not like change. That is why Google is the number 1 most visited site in the world and will stay number 1.
lets build our own search engine and give Google a real war. I'm sure I have my granddads old army boots up in the loft.
Sorry Mandy...I didn't know only people who agreed with you were allowed to post here...
I'm in a mood tonite check your e mail box, set of by one whiner, that is uneducated enough to not be able to see my sense of Humour from, my actual persona.........Quote on wise one.I've just been reading your impressionist Hub, found it great.
No problems. I was in an argumentative mood myself over the weekend...
Hell everyonme was S...ty last night I wish I hadn't bothered, I assumed it was Whitney as she always, argues, I just don't get that she bitches about my Hubs, knows that they are usually contentious, and then says. Oh I want a quiet day after work. Don't we all...... I have seen her bitching before........ So don't mind but people in glass houses
Still ya fan PS Was there a full moon (Not in N.Z)

Lunch break for me eating a Burger, Hot oil is fatty, not sure if that is healthy I have been told off hahah
I only get to be young once so if its fatty, its okay, I can run around the block and sweat it off
You are lucky, I usually go to the Gym once a year, but walk everywhere, and I eat whatever I like....because I figure you are a long time dead.
I used to own a Gallery next to a Masseuse, (clean one) and I never saw a client ever run round the block to get rid of the Body essential oils she was using. Odd. My lunchbreak is over. Back to work.
You go once a year more than me. Typically I just consume less or hold on beer for a few days, if I need to drop some pounds. The run around the block hurts as much as it sounds.
I have written 99 hubs. In a month's time I get about one eighth of the way to the grand ten dollar mark. I don't put a lot of business savvy in it so it is probaby my fault. Cookie cutter commercial ads make google happier than real articles but I don't seem to have the talent to write them.

Hi,How feasible is it to earn 500$ + monthly from writing on hubpages? Is it possible from ad revenue alone? Or how should one go about mastering amazon links? (I've never had much luck with that aspect)Any tips/suggestions?I enjoy writing and my favorite niches are food, gardening, travel and...

Ok, here goes. I rarely get involved in the forums, I guess I am a little on the shy side. I have been here almost 2 years now and have published over 80 hubs. I have only had 2 ever unfeatured and have deleted those and a couple more that I thought just were not up to par. My...

Although I use and like many of Google's products, it certainly makes me uneasy how powerful Google has become and the panda update really brought that home, so I am not surprised that some companies are taking legal action against them!http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13899197
