OK, I'm jumping in here. I did a bit of a crazy challenge to do 100 hubs in 2 months. My thoughts behind this is the money is made on Hubs in SEO AND volume. So I'm trying to start out with both.

I wrote a Hub called my "Journey to 100 Hubs in 2 Months" where I'm tracking my progress. Not sure I can post it here but it's in my collection of hubs.

With all of that said, I've now done 29 hubs in 17 days. I hadn't really thought of staying accountable on any thread until I saw this so I thought I'd hop in. I guess we just update it each day with our progress? I like that idea. smile

I'm glad to be among others who have a clue what a "hub" is. No one else I know does...LOL!

I haven't completed one yet today as Sundays are hard but I've got one almost complete. I may have to play catch up tomorrow.

I'm happy to be a part of some accountability though!

good luck on 100 hubs in 2 months. That's an ambious goal, but we will be rooting for you. One thing I learned when doing the 30 in 30 was that quality is very important. Good luck.

by the way, you can post the hubs here as you create them, rather than all at once. I might make it easier for people to spread the reading out a little.

    Day 12
    Hub 15: Pregnancy Week Eight
    http://skylarspring.hubpages.com/hub/week8ofpregnancy

Took another one day break, mostly because the closer I get to my due date the more tired I seem to be. Man, pregnancy is fun lol! Anyway hoping to get back to posting a hub or two a day. Still inspired when it comes to topics and still have about seven months of pregnancy to cover in my week by week series so, wish me luck!

Random question: I'm thinking about cataloging my hubs, like writing one hub which links all the related hubs, since I tend to write series of related hubs. And then I figured I'd link the "catalogs" to my profile page to make it easier for people to find what they're looking for. Is this a good idea? Or is it just a waste of time?

    1. homesteadbound profile image75
homesteadboundposted 13 years agoin reply to this

in answer to your question -  that is a good idea. You might do a search on the capstone challenge and you can see where people have done something very similar in the past. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much for answering! That has helped. I will look up the capstone challenge before I begin.

They are not doing a challenge now. It was done in the past, but they were calling the hub that links them all together a capstone hub.

Skylar Springposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Gotcha. I did look it up anyway. I'm rather glad they're not doing the challenge. I love the idea, but I more or less just want to catalog my hubs for organizational purposes and for my readers to find them easier.

Thanks for the help, as I said! Much appreciated smile

I also decided against Nano this yr since the contest was going on here.  One can only spread themselves so far!  The yr I did Nano I got to 35,000 words before it ended.  I had two disrupted w/e's that totally made me lose my goal.

I'm glad to see that you will continue and finish your 30. You're right, it is hard. I have not had time to read yours, but some of the titles look like the required alot of research. that is alot of work for 30 hubs in 30 days, rather than on writing on some things that you could sit down and type about without doing any research. I did both when I was doing the 30 in 30. I know what it takes.

But quality is always more important than quantity. I am reading in the forums now about this very issue. And after some of us had finished the 30 in 30 the one thing that I heard from them later was that they wished that they had worried about quality. If you are just producing to produce, you may be wasting your time. Quality will last for the long haul. Just my two cents.

I'm a bit behind, but I'm going to try to set aside a day to catch up. It's fun but it's a challenge to maintain all my writing commitments. Luckily, I enjoy the craft so I'm doing what I love.

5 more days and only two more hubs to write. I feel proud that I could at least accomplish this even though I'm falling behind in NaNoWriMo. But I'll remain positive. If I can write 30 hubs in less than 30 days I think I can at least get really close to the word count goal of 50,000 by the end of November.
