Congrats!! Bard of Ely for publishing 200 wonderful hubs. His hubs are just as colorful as he looks
He is not only popular at hubpages but also famous
He is a successful author who has written this book
Although some people may call him a "conspiracist/radical" but I am sure everybody still loves Steve and the proof lies in this cake being presented to him.
Recently his phone had issues and we all would like to tell him that we all miss him
He also loves growing plants and has often been interviewed
May you all enjoy his wonderful music
What a cool YouTube video. Anyway, congratulations, Bard!
Very Nice!!! Congratulations on the hub achievement as well as all of the other achievements Bard!!!
That's excellent.. well done Bard.. may they all pay their way and honour the efforts applied.
Yes, Here here to Bard! You are one of my favorite all time authors. Keep up the great work.
I am so happy for you! Be proud, my friend, you deserve it! Congrats, I am having a drink for you
Congrats Bard! Congrats to you too Countrywoman for putting this together. You are one of the most friendly Hubbers i have found here.
This is really good news and inspirational to all of us.
WOW - what a wonderful surprise to get up to! I am touched! THANK YOU so much Countrywomen, for putting all this together for me! It's as good as a hub about me! Thank you for the wonderful cakes too!
And thank you to, Earnestshub, Nelle, Irohner, Wordscribe41, Emohealer, Pearldiver, RKHenry, UW, Janetta, Ladybird33, Shalini, Anamika, RA, DS, PM, bgpappa, squidward, Candice and isis_dreams2002, for all your responses to CW's thread for me!
Bard holy smoke your talents are amazing. I never knew of how famous you are. Can I have your autograph???
Judging by your beard I would say your daughter is a hairdresser. I accidentally dyed my father's beard bright orange when I was learning so then I had to dye his hair to compliment the new colour.
He was used to going to work with green, orange and pink hair, my sister refused to walk with him as she was so embarassed,
but personally I think the colour went with his socks.
CONGRATULATIONS ANYWAY YOU ROCK!!!!
Big Congrats. Well done on your Book.
Awaiting your autograph....
Congrats Bard for achieving too much on different fronts.
Thanks to countrywomen for the thread that demonstrates her concern for a fellow hubber.I didn't notice who initiated the thread but a thought came to my jealous mind that this much information about Bard can be provided either by Bard or a hubber sponsored by Bard. After scrolling down, I came to know that CW has initiated this thread. Great efforts CW.
Thank you for your posts, PM, Prem and Jerilee!
Prem, yes, CW did a lot of research putting this together and some of it I have not provided here so she must have found it online.
Prem - Bard of Ely didn't motivate or provide any information to me to start this thread. I usually like to congratulate randomly when I see certain milestones (both officially recognized and unrecognized by hub pages). I do have some favorite hubbers but that doesn't have anything to do with me to actively start threads only for them. If I can make even one person happy per day then I would consider that day to be a lucky day for me.
Bard- I have always admired the sheer range of achievements that you have accomplished in your life so far. And coming to your knowledge I was pleasantly surprised about how informed you were about east(particularly India) in couple of exchanges we had earlier. I feel so honored to be able to meet such great people like you through hub pages. I am so happy that you liked this and it was a pleasure to search for information about such an interesting personality. Have a good weekend.
Thank you, Dohn121. and thank you again, CW! India and the East is very much a part of me even though I have never been there physically, at least not in this life!
I would love to be a host when you visit India. Beyond the obvious sights of poverty there is something deeper which India offers. If in some places we have to go to Museums to see history in India those palaces, forts, temples and all make India a living breathing time travel "museum" through different eras. I personally feel somebody like you who admires India so much can see through the smoke screen of population/poverty and appreciate it much better.
I would love to see India, CW, but it is very doubtful I will seeing as I am unable to travel easily and so far have Wales, mainland Spain and Rome to visit when I can and cannot do any of these trips because I have no one to look after Tiggy. Since I overcame my fear of flying and got here I have only been back to Wales once in 2007 when a friend came here to look after my place while I was away. I couldn't afford flights to India either. Wonderful as travel is I put my cat as a main priority and need to know she is safe.
Online sometimes there are good flight deals from London to Bombay/Delhi. Can Tiggy stay with neighbors? I believe some international airlines do allow pets too. It would be great for us if someone who appreciates India so much actually visits it. Who knows even Tiggy may have a trip of lifetime.
I love the picture! Tiggy catches butterflies - Monarch butterflies that look like the one illustrated - and she's a tabby!
London is no good because I'd have to fly there first and it's four hours from here to the UK. No neighbours suitable either - this a block of over 500 apartments, some are empty, some are long-term lets, some are short-term for holidays, some are privately owned and I have to confess I hardly know any of the people in this building very well or even who, if anyone, lives in many of the apartments.
No, I'd need someone I know well to stay here to look after her. And if I go anywhere I have seeing my family as the main priority. I am supposed to be going to be introduced to someone in Germany who is great with animals who could fly here and stay in my place while I am away but she can only do this in school holidays. I also have the offer of a woman friend's mother coming from Sweden to look after my place and cat but if I accept this it is so I can go to Rome, and like I said, my priority is seeing my dad and son in Wales when I next sort out a way of leaving here so that's no good.
It's funny in a way that now I have conquered my fear of flying I am now not able to put this to use. But it got me here!
Congratulations! It is quite an achievement with writing! Maybe one day I will catch up, but at the pace I am going with writing hubs, it will take me a few years, LOL!
I discovered the Bard of Ely today, googled his name, and he is most definitely at least a D list celebrity in Britain!
Thank you for your posts, parmeetkaur, Marketing Sucesso, VioletSun, Ryankett and Blondeoet!
Blondepoet, I do all my hair and beard styling and dying myself and made it into the BBC report on a beard festival even though I wasn't there! I have a daughter but not by blood but because she decided she was my daughter. I have a son in the same way and also a son who I am the father of in the normal way! lol
You are so interesting Bard especially after reading all these comments. It is funny I always thought that was not your real avatar, you some-how remind me of Billy Connoly LMAO. Oh you are certainly a good stylist, as well as being a extroidinary man. xox You will have to market your own hair products, I will buy them.
Thank you again, BlondePoet!
Well, what happened twice was that Spanish artist Paco de Colmenar painted pictures from images I have on my Myspace gallery and I use them because they are so good and are accurate portraits of me and I have put a link to his site from my profile.
I purposely didn't do my beard purple because Billy had his that colour and I started with green because I was compère for the Green Man Festival and I thought it represented my image well because I love nature.
I was very glad when a lady called Vicky made green beard masks and used to hand them out to staff and audience at a bar I used to play at as you can see. I thought I was starting a fashion! lol
Congratulations Bard of Ely.
Creativity comes easy to some!
Thank you, Lou! BTW I am trying to think of something publicitywise that will help shift my new album in bulk because it is a product I am very proud of and that Alan Craw has put a lot of time and effort into making a reality. I need "legendary" status to get it the publicity it deserves somehow!
Congratulations Bard of Ely. You are an awesome guy and i wish (no, hope ) to be like you sometime in the future. Churning out great hubs that is.
Welldone and GodBless.
Thanks again, Lou, - will do - and thank you too, Viryabo!
Bard- Great picture with guitar. I feel for you. I hope you at least get to visit your family in UK. Have a great day.
Thanks again, Countrywomen! Lou PurpleFairy's mother has offered to look after my place and cat at the end of September and we are trying to sort out flights!
That's good news. So you get to travel and Tiggy gets to stay (maybe it's good in a way because tiggy may get too carried away on a vacation)
Lou and I are currently trying to sort this out but it's hit a big problem with timing for planes and travel across the island (takes hours) so her mum can get here and I can get to the airport in time and then the same again when I come back and her mother leaves.
Tiggy needs to stay because she likes routine in her life!
Well done bard of ely, 200 hubs thats quite an acheivement, Its taken me 2 months to write 8 hubs so in nearly 3 years I might be where you are now! Good job.
Congratulations Sir Bard! I haven't even reached a hundred yet. Hehehe Hope to follow your footsteps.
Greetings Beard of Ely, I am the EFG. Pleasure to meet you.
way to go! Your harvest home song and video on youtube was really nice, I enjoyed it very much. Thank you

At last I have done it! As I explained in another thread I had got tired of checking only to find little progress in the way of making any money, but after all the questions about if I am getting clicks now and having just read Dorsi's payout thread I thought I'd go and see what is in my Google...

I'm freakin' out! Just got an email from a theater company in New York City that's been experimenting with performing monologues based on current issues in the blogosphere. They've gotten great reviews, so they're doing more now. They want to perform one of my hubs!

...I guess that means I'm either insanely dedicated, or I'm a glutton for punishment who enjoys smashing his head against the wall, take your pick Thanks to all who've made the past three and three-quarter years a fun and funky ride. Onward and upward to #200!
