a friend of mine from scotland, instead of saying "how are you?" he says "what you saying?" meaning the same of course but to some people its fight talk
In the country regions instead of saying, "How may I help you?" or "What can I do for you?" they say, "What can I do you for?" So grammatically incorrect....
CHUCKLE...the word gives me goosebumps...
and for some reason my brother can't stand it when I say 'Diplomatic' and/or 'Incompetent'
visualize - we are going to like visualize some awesome stuff, dude!
"Right, Right, Right" that drives me nuts! or "What The Frig?" what in the world is that? lololololo
Its not one word but I cannot stand the phrase "You know what I'm sayin" after every sentence.
It drives me nuts when people say, "You know what I'm saying" or "You know what I mean" after everything that they say.
or the girls that say
"Ohhhh...God, I HATE MY LIFE", because they broke a nail or something equally as insignificant happens.
One word that drives me crazy is "Tolerance"
"I do not like you yet I will have tolerance for you."
BS
Acceptance is a much better word.
"Literidiocy."
The fact that idiots are really literate enough to read doesn't make them any less an idiot.
#1: It's a phrase:: "Know what I'm say'n"?...No actually I have now idea what you're saying? And most likely you don't either!
#2 A word: I am not allowed to use here in the forums I don't think?? C*nt...rhymes with hunt. A particularly vile word when used in a derogatory way I think.
I hate that word too and also the word that rhymes with maggot that they use at people like me, i get completely mad at people who call me that, I got expelled from school years ago because some one called me it everyday and i lost my temper and had a fight.
that used to drive you nuts back in the day too, I'll bet!
i hate when people say something is "jingoistic". i don't understand what that word means but i hear people use it in conversations and they act all erudite and whatnot, which annoys me
AMEN, MOW! EXcellent observation and sooo glad you pointed it out!
Oops..guilty as charged. You might check out my answer to "What Does Google Stand For" in the Answers section, just for fun.
improper use of "insure" and "ensure"
improper use of "affect" and "effect"
"has ran" instead of "ran" - I have no idea why people make that passive so often.

If someone says the words to you, 'what goes around comes around', how do you respond?Do you agree? Disagree? Totally dismiss it? And, I have heard this stated in different terms as well.

What would be your response and why?If a dear friend invited you to a social event in their home and you are aware that several people you seriously dislike will be there....

That buzzing fly in your house....does it just drive you crazy?I hunt it down. Thought I got it. It re-appears again, landing on me. Swat again, it's on the floor, it wakes back up in three seconds and is buzzing again. If you don't see guts, it's not dead! I hate flies!

Does the ticking of a clock drive you crazy? It's 4 am. You wake up, and can't get back to sleep. Does the sound of the ticking clock wear on your nerves, and why?
