This is a new site/blog that encourages members to post links and leave a short comment. I've gotten a little traffic from the site, and it's super easy to use.

oOo, "free" and "easy", two of my favorite words!
thanks habee. so far i only use shetoldme. i closed my redgage account...too much work, i am ashamed to say. so i will definitely be checking this out.
Thanks! I'll definitely be checkin' that out and hopefully putting it to use soon!
Hey thanks habee, I've just bookmarked it & will ck it out later. I can use all the help I can get, since I am unemployed & trying with all that I have to make this work, since I absolutely love writing. Good luck to you!
Great find Habee.
Do you have a URL for one of your articles you posted on there?
Hmm .. I registered with them, but can't find where to post links. Am I missing something?
After registering you have to actually go into the discussions - choose a topic and that is where you post. I had the same problem. Took a couple minutes.
It's essentially a message board. You register, then post messages with back links to your hubs. All the categories are listed.
Thanks, habee! I have posted a few and it was really fast and simple. Thanks for sharing! I'll go back tomorrow and see what's up with them.
Thanks Holle. I'm just getting started with RedGage, SheToldMe and Snipsly, trying to do the monetized sites first. I'm ultimately shooting for 10 backlinks for each hub. I'm definitely adding this to my list.
Thanks Habee, I will definitely try it out. Have you checked out http://www.kirtsy.com/, PR5 and geared to women's interests. Think you have to be a bit more careful about only posting your own stuff.
If anyone is interested in getting 20 backlinks to their hub from hubpages I just published a hub on an idea if you want to check it out.
Hub Backlink Wheel
HEA habee YOUR THE TREASURE! Were so lucky to have your wonderful kind and helpful beautiful self here at HubPages!
Gotta LOVE Ya!
Thanks for the great share and heads up! Peace katiem2
Hey habee, Did I finally catch you on the net at the same time as me? Cool Site by the way.
Crap, I guess not, well one of these days we'll hook up. Hello anyway.
habee - you are right on. It is so easy! I already put up 2 posts and followed both you and Tony back to hubpages!
Did anyone get this message from Treasuretrove?
Please note that we do not accept or allowed post with link to website without any articles. link should go with full written articles.. thank you
Yeah, I just got the message as well. I'll have to rework my posts there, I guess, or just pull them. I'm pretty pressed for time at this point.
It means you have to post an article at treasurestrove.com, and then they will allow a back link in that article to your one at HP.
I've never received that kind of message! Does it mean the link has to be to a full article? That's no prob!
I just emailed the admin about this. I've been posting there for several weeks without any probs. Wonder what happened?? I'll let you know what I find out!
Update: The admin asks that posts now be ten lines long to include a link. He also said they would stay on the site as long as the site is up so they we can continue to get traffic to our hubs.
Dang, I don't know why he changed the rules!
without having 10 lines, or 250 words or 500 words etc. each site has their own guideline, the site isnt likely to get much google love and have benefits to posting at.
A site full of links is essentially a link farm and has no benefit to viewers so google doesnt recognize them.
this is good news for those who are using the site
Getting ready to check the site out myself, thanks for the heads up--especially if it's quick and easy!
I joined this site last night after reading Habee's post. I haven't used them yet at all, and I got the email saying links only weren't acceptable.
In fact, in total now they've sent me 5 emails. In less than 24 hours? I'm regretting having joined already!
Oh sweetheart I'm not blaming you. Thanks for the link! I don't like feeling as if I've been spammed by that site that's all. They might still be great for backlinking. I might still use them
I still haven't backlinked anything there yet. But I won't lose the site, I've got their emails in my inbox lol. Maybe tomorrow. I wish they didn't have my email address though - else hope their automated machinery breaks down!
WTG on the traffic!!
I am now at treasurestrove and have seen several hubbers there as well. Habee is right, it is very quick and easy. However, now they seem to be saying that in order to post a link, you need to post an entire article there, not just a blurb.
Yes, I got an email pointing that out. I guess they realized pretty quickly that they were going to get swamped with spam!
Not sure if it's really worth posting articles there, there are other places that are more established.
After seeing both emails and blurbs about posting "entire articles," I have used it more sparingly than I originally intended. I have written short articles with links (300-500 words), but I don't do it every time. I wonder if others have still managed to post with short blurbs? The coward in me complied with their request for entire articles.....
I think they just want a real short article of about 100 words, which really isn't an article. Shetoldme also seems to want 100 word articles as well.
Arrrrrgh, I have a lost password with this site. I initiated the "lost password retrieval" process but the tech stuff is set up wrong, I think...
I enter my address to reset my password, a new link comes to my email and the link takes me to the "reset password" page...I enter my address... a new link shows up in my email... I go back to the password page....enter my email....
I'm dizzy lol
I'm rethinking my attitude to this type of site anyway, after Nelle Hoxie posted that she doesn't go near them.
She has a point - these sites aren't much more than a list of links to other places, with no content of their own. They're so blatantly a place for self-promotion that you wonder why Google hasn't already developed a way to identify and penalize their use, like they do traffic exchanges. Nelle feels it's only a matter of time before they do, and then anyone who has used them for links may be disadvantaged.
Thanks Habee
You can never have too many backlinks.
I'll have to check this one out !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Habee, lovin this cool bit of info you shared, it's proving to be a good one. Thanks again.

Well, I hope I am posting this in the right spot. I've been on Hubpages now a little over 3 months, and am enjoying it thoroughly, all the writers here have been great. I have done a lot of research on increasing traffic to my hubs, and mostly people seem to collectively agree that to really boost...

Hope this might help some people. My method for drawing traffic to my Hubs (these are referral links so if you don't desire to sign up in that way just fix the links) <all links snipped by admin - no affiliate links in the forums, please>:1. Write a Hub2. Join InfoBarrel3. Write an article on...

There is a lot of bad SEO (search engine optimization) advice out there, and the use of automated services that procure backlinks to your Hubs is one particularly egregious example. Using services to get backlinks can result in your Google AdSense and/or HubPages account permanently banned. Yes, we...

I have been wondering lately if including your little affiliate code when you link to your hubs actually hurts your backlinking efforts or not?Because you're directing all your links to this lengthened link with your affiliate code in it and THEN it goes to your page.So does Google see all those...

There are only really 3 good places to put backlinks;1. social media sites (digg, reddit, etc)2. blogs (blog commenting)3. other adsense sharing sites (shetoldme, xomba etc)You can follow the angela's method where she puts them in forum user profiles but my experience is they...

I started about 7 weeks ago and have been publicizing/backlinking most of my hubs through the bookmarking sites SheToldMe, Snipsley, Xomba and Redgage.Does anyone think (or know) whether Google, as part of its new ranking system, will now be penalizing pages linked to from sites such as these...
