First grand child is here!

   My son and his wife just gave birth to a boy, Elijah. I won't be able to see him till later this evening, but in my excitement, wanted to let my friends here know.
   
   Where have the last 54 years gone? Amazed, and happy.

   Thanks, my friends.
   
   Talked to the proud daddy a bit ago. I asked if he counted all the fingers and toes and he shed a little tear and said, "Yeah, but I couldn't see them to count them with the water in my eyes." I told him that's exactly what I did when he was born.
   
   When my son was born the nurse told me to count all the fingers and toes and report back. She came over and said, "Now, Dan, how are you gonna get this right if you're bawlin' about it?" She laughed and so did I.
   
   We nearly lost my son in delivery to fetal arrest. It was a close call. Now he is a good man. I'm a lucky dad, and lucky grandpa.
