I'm super psyched! My daughter is being admitted to the hospital today. Her due date was supposed to be eight days from now. I'm so excited - - - on pins and needles.
It's a good sign if she can't text me right now, isn't it? I mean, I figure she's got her mind on more important things !
Congratulations Aficionada!!! Let us know she and the baby are doing well
Thanks so much! I'm getting all my messages by text right now, and I am impatient for updates, but I will definitely post again with news when he completes his grand entrance.
I do hope mum and baby are fine and grandma manages to cope--
I can only think what it must be like- argh!
Thank you all. I still haven't heard any more. I was in labor with my daughter for a really long time, and I'm hoping that she doesn't have the same experience.
I'll be able to take pictures when I go out there in a few days, and I will certainly post some as soon as I can. If the proud papa sends some before then, I'll share them.
Thanks, brake12 - I'm not sure how the picture managed that, but believe me I am old enough, and I feel it too! LOL
How exciting. i was there for the birth of my first grandson almsot 18 years ago now and my 2 year old grandson. The earth stood still. And every day is brand new since then. You are so blessed. Sending prayers and Angles to your family.
Congratulations Aficionada! Grandkids are THE best thing in the world...we have four now, and it's just unbelievable, how much love they bring you.
Anymore news yet?
How very wonderful and exciting! Keep us posted, and yes, photos would be great!
More thanks to you all. At this point it looks like she's following the pattern I followed when she was born - not one I would highly recommend. Too long in labor, progress and then stalling. Baby still hasn't seen daylight yet.
I told my daughter (via my sister who is with her) that she just needs to "threaten" him a little. When she was born, the Ob-Gyn was literally scrubbing up to perform a C-section when the natural process finally kicked into high gear, and then she arrived very soon after that. I've joked with people that she just needed for someone to push her into making a decision about how she was going to make her entrance into the world, and she finally did.
How neat for you to have four grandkids, TamCor; and how wonderful that you got to be present for two births, pstraubie48!
Thanks NateB11 and SmartAndFun! I'll do pictures as soon as I can.
Congrats! As a grandma of three, I can tell you that you're in for quite a blessing. Keep us up to date.
Thank you so much, lrohner! How wonderful for you to have three. I'm practically giddy with my one, and he isn't even here yet. I can hardly wait. But I know my daughter is Ready, with a capital R.
Congratulations-- and a warning, they grow up soooo much faster than your own did. Enjoy every moment.
Yes ! It is a very exciting time ! Congratulations !
Thank you both, and thanks for the good advice! I will definitely have to treasure the time with him whenever we have some. At the moment, we live 1700 miles apart, so it is a very big deal to arrange a visit. We're trying to work out some time together after these days just ahead, when I will be flying out there. I'm making lots of plans. Now, he just needs to do his part.
AWESOME news! Grandkids are such a blessing. I have 9! Luckily, they all live nearby. One set lives about 10 miles away, another set lives two blocks away, and the third set is just two doors away.
Huge congrats, Aficionada. Grandparents play a very important part in children's lives. I wish we didn't live so far away from our parents. Our kids rarely get to see their grandparents. Enjoy!
Congrats Aficionada ... I just got back memories of my mother pacing up and down the hospital ward waiting to see my 1st child & then looking after the earlier ones when the next 2 were born :-) Moms can be a huge help ... lots of luck to your daughter too :-)
Congratulations, Aficionada! Will keep you all in my thoughts. Hoping all goes well and everyone comes out healthy and strong!
Just got in from town: first place I looked to see if there was any news, Not yet it seems!
That's so sweet, CASE1WORKER! - and each one of you!
I just got a text that the Grand Arrival is almost accomplished. Any minute now, literally.... (Not sure when I'll get pics, but I'll post when I can.) Thanks so much for checking, and thanks for all the encouragement and support, everyone!
Hooray, he's here! He's here!
I was beginning to figure that he was so comfortable and cozy where he was, he was simply refusing to leave.
I haven't even talked with my daughter yet, but I will soon, and I'll post pics when I can. Thank you, everyone!
Thanks, wordscribe; yes, his name is Clark William, and they have already begun calling him Clark - ever since they selected the name, in fact.
Wonderful news! I'm wishing a "happy birthing day" to Clark's mom.
Congratulations! Enjoy being a grandma. Happy birthday to your new grandson. God bless him and his mother;-)
Congratulations! Grandkids are great--you get to spoil them rotten, then give them back to mom and dad!
Seriously, I've had a lot of fun with my grandkids...they keep you young at heart.
Best wishes to all...and may little Clark William have a wonderful and bountiful life.
I'm thankful for the safe delivery of your little one! A grandson with a grand name--Happy Birthday to you all!
I'm basking in all the good wishes and kindness here! Thank you every one.
Here are my adorable little grandson, his tired Mama, and his proud Papa.
Believe it or not, I still haven't spoken with my daughter or son-in-law by phone; in between their schedules and mine, we haven't found a mutually possible time. But we surely have texted a lot!
Happy Birthday Clark William. May you have a great life...Much Love to all.
He is beautiful- I bet you cant wait to see him- well done to mummy ( and daddy too)
All three look healthy and beautiful and very, very happy. God bless you all! Be proud, Grandma!
Congratulations to you and your family! Not a better gift to a parent then a grandchild! Having fun spoiling him!
Congratulations to you all on a graceful entrance into this world and for having such a lovely baby as an addition to your family.
Grandma enjoy these miraculous moments of your first grandchild - absolutely amazing!
He is absolutely beautiful, Aficionada! Congratulations!! I love his name, too - I hope you are able to fly out soon to hold that precious boy in your arms!
Thank you so much, every single one of you, for the warm wishes and congratulations. We are so happy to have this new little family member, and I appreciate the way you all have shared and even compounded our joy.
Congrats. and thanks for posting photos of the beautiful little guy!
Congrats!! I am awaiting the birth of my FOURTH grandchild in April!! I am as excited now as I was for the first one who just turned three...welcome to the world of grandparenting!! It's a wonderful world!
Congratulations on being a grandmother. I can tell you exactly how your daughter and son-in-law feel right now. I know because my little one was born last week in amazing circumstances.
Congrats to your family, i know how it feels
Many congratulations. Hope to see pictures as well. God bless you all.

I had hoped to make my first payout this month, but realized it was a stretch as I would have to once more double the previous month's earnings. I went to bed needing only a few more dollars and hoped to make it today.Checked adsense first thing this morning (of course! ) and had earned 3...

Short Pat Pat on the back, now for all you big money ad-sense guys and gals, I have analyzed my traffic and the convergence of 200/400/1 seems to be a tipping point in the acceleration of earnings, since I hit 200/400 mark, I have had some earnings pretty much every day (though not always from...

At 11:04pm on the 11th October 2012 my darling daughter was born in an unplanned home birth (We were booked in our local Birthing Centre in the hospital in our district). Due to the speed of the labour and of the imminent birth, I myself ended up at the 'business end' and delivered my daughter...
