Hello, ready for a new HubMob topic? Well, for the third week in a row we are going to be mirroring the Eat, Drink, & be Hubbalicious Contest so all of you who want to take part in the HubMob and contest can start now submitting your Hubbalicious hubs.
Please, those of you entering the contest make sure to categorize your hub under the right category for that day. This week we are finally going to be writing recipes, from breakfast recipes to starters, main dishes, drinks and special diets. This is the week to dust off all those family recipes, to tell us your secret ways of achieving the perfect dish.
The subtopics for this week, categorized per day for those taking part in the contest are:
Tuesday, June 15: Breakfast Recipes
Wednesday, June 16: Starter & Snack Recipes
Thursday, June 17: Main Dish & Side Dish Recipes
Friday, June 18: Dessert Recipes
Saturday, June 19: Beverage Recipes
Sunday, June 20: Quick & Easy Recipes
Monday, June 21: Vegetarian & Vegan Recipes
To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:
1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK. Choose the Answer the Request green button. Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.
2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"
3. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/55700/hubm … ew&rss
For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can click here
4. Add one of the HubMob graphics to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.
5. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why. Take advantage of the free publicity!
If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.
Here's my recipe hub on healthy honey granola! I wasn't able to start this answering the question because I began it several weeks ago. Hope that's okay!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Healthy-Honey-G … Variations
To take part in the HubMob just follow steps 1 to 5 and you are in.
If you want to take part in the Contest as well just make sure you follow the scheduled subtopics each day.
By the way, how many hubmobs can we post for every topic? In the contest page, it says "for only up to 5 hubs" are allowed from each hubber per topic. Is it the same here? Just wanted to clarify and make sure if I understand it right.
Sorry to bother Princessa, I'm still a newbie to hubpages. :-)
Hi Princessa! I finally am the first!!! lol Thanks for all the work and organizing you and Rose Mary do here for the HubMob!
Today, it's pancakes -- buttermilk pancakes -- and if you don't have pure Canadian maple syrup, then you can top it all off with Caramel Syrup!
For Rose Mary - url = http://hubpages.com/hub/Buttermilk-Panc … cipes?done
I have been out of this contest for some time. I have a recipe that I want to add for the main dish one. It has already been started but not through your links. Since it isn't published yet, do I need to redo it through the links on this page?
Yes, for a hub to be a HubMob hub it needs to start from the answer the request link above.
The link that leads to answer this question, there is no question. Do I just fill in what I will be writing about? Or do I fill that in for each time I publish a hub for the subject?
Also, I can set it up for the days in advance, but do not publish it until the day of the contest for that subject. Right?
I know it isnt relevant Sandy, but I just wanted to thank you for commenting on my account. You have made me feel very welcome
I know what it is like getting started. I will look forward to your hubs.
Here is a refresher on how to answer the request: http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-Write-a-HubMob-Hub
Yes, you can start your hubs from there in advance and publish them the relevant day.
Okay, I go confused with the question thing. I just went in to and hit the part about starting a hub.
Hi there! Why don't you treat yourself to some delicious Turkish-style scrambled eggs for breakfast?
Here's the recipe:

Afiyet olsun!
Princessa, I've had trouble with the Recipes and Cooking Techniques graphics. Usually the default is JPEG, which works fine. Are you doing something diferent? Now the default is PNG, and only other option is bitmap, neither of which will load for hub photo capsules. I can't save file location either w/o laboriously copying the URL by hand. I've had to go to another hubber's hub and copy as a JPEG, with resolution degraded.
No, I didn't do anything different.
Let me check anyway.
I experienced the same problem earlier so I decided to find another graphic (the one on this thread) to download. Its ok, its still about recipes anyway, I'll try to check that graphic again the next time I'll write a new hub.
I am starving now that I've written this and I can't even buy the ingredients here, never mind make it!
http://hubpages.com/hub/Enjoy-a-Full-Scottish-Breakfast
What's up with the rss feed? I'm sure I put it in correctly and it says there are no items to show?
Its ok. It just says that because it hasn't register yet the hubs submitted. It usually takes a few hours before it is updated
That's exactly the same thing with me. But I just leave it there empty anyway I think there weren't (yet) enough hubmobs to display since we are among the first few ones who published.
Should have remembered the rss feed takes a while to start working - someone mentioned that on the forums before. This is my first time getting a hubmob in early. Can you tell? lol
and such a delicious hub as well... Its almost midnight here but you made me really hungry with that Scottish breakfast!
We're exactly the same! This is my earliest published hubmob, too! Still a newbie here, anyway. Goodluck!
Well done, Loren! I don't think I took part in the hubmob this early but I should have. It's a great experience. BTW welcome to Hubpages
Thanks, IzzyM! Well, as I have just started to know this site, Ive just also started to love it more and more! :-)
By the way I enjoyed your full Scotish breakfast! Great job!
Here's another one for breakfast - a freshly baked homemade bread!
Mind you, here's my 2nd recipe for today:
http://hubpages.com/hub/practicalbaking … emadebread
Oh my! Your second hubmob early! You're on a roll! <roll...get it?> lol
So it seems (lol)!
Actually, I had already written some of them a week ago. I was just saving them as draft in word document as I took some time to cook some of them and as well as take photos myself. I've just only waited for this week to publish them as hubmobs.
Perhaps, I'm planning to cook something special for breakfast tomorrow morning, too! As soon as I can take a very fine capture of my food, I might as well write another hub about it! Though it depends if my toddler at home will give me time to do that! :-)
Strata My Favorite Breakfast Casserole

The favorite weekend breakfast food at our house is something we call Eggs ‘n Stuff. It is essentially a scrambled omelet. Check out my scrambled egg recipes to get you on your way to enjoying stuff in your scrambled eggs.
Just to be sure - is the recipes picture at the beginning of the thread a HubMob graphic?
It's good that you asked this question coz I'm not sure either but I copied and used it for my recently published hubs after I had difficulty downloading the Recipes & Cooking Techniques image. To save time (as it's also a JPG file), I used it instead.
However, just now I think Princessa has already fixed it (the Hubmob graphic), though if this one above is not allowed to appear in our hubs, I might as well change the ones I posted on my hubs.
Yes the graphic at the beginning of Princessa's thread post is the "Recipes HubMob" specific graphic. The graphic at the end of Princessa's post is the more generic HubMob graphic. You can use either.
Yes it is. It is the HubMob graphic for the week created by our own HubMob graphic designer Jen She designs a new graphic according to our topic every week.
You can choose between our two HubMob graphics:
or
I really like the purple graphic above, very nice to look at.
I agree! Its cool! Jen did a great job on this! :-)
Thanks. I really like the recipes graphic, so I'll use it.
I added both. The new one was cool and the old one I'm sentimental about
Yummy! Its finally time for the recipes

I'm enjoying looking at the breaskfast recipes posted as well. Great HubMob this week!
