Many times you would find that you had lied unnecessarily, though quite harmlessly and without any chance for adverse consequences.
Does this happen often with you?
Not really but I try my best not to lie. However, sometime it just happens.
Do we really need another thread on this mundane topic?

It depends on the situation - if it is something that is going to embarrass someone as in 'why didn't you answer the phone' and the answer was 'because we were fooling around' and it is my son - then yes, I lie! It would give him a heart attack and I would never be able to look him in the face again!
There are lies and then there are LIES!
i can be economical with the truth, but because of my bad memory lying is difficult.... i would easily get found out
If the truth causes problems and the lie is the solution, you have to lie.
With parents as strict as mine were, lying was a matter of survival, and I grew up to be a brilliant liar.
Unfortunately, I don't have to lie to anybody anymore ... one talent gone to waste ...
Why not find a job you hate or find so boring it makes waking up when your alarm goes off next to impossible. Chronic absenteeism and lateness make for sources of need to invent some good stories... (Just remember: Your boss may start counting how many of those great aunts of yours die over the course of six months.)
I am giving you chance here, please give us one of your brillian ones

Why do people disguise who they reaaly are, why do people lie, is it possible to be 100% honest?Lying does it exist because of that fear of rejection takes over our very being, is it because we do not trust anyone truly. In life would things be turned upside down if you would simply never make...

My daughter is going through a phase where she is lying a lot. It's not about big stuff, and she's pretty honest about if she does wrong things. But she will lie to try to get her way. I am trying to figure out how to get over this hump.

Is it lying to simply not say what you're feeling? If asked a direct question and one answers falsely that is a lie, however is it still a lie if you don't speak up?
