Looks a bit different. Or is it just me?

      But mine looks weird!!!

        lol lol lol

I have to say, I'm fine with change, but I don't see the point here. I liked the other layout much better. Everything seems so scrunched up and, well, tall this way.

Yes, it does look different. Quite chic, in fact. I'm going back to take a closer look.

Chic is nice, but I don't agree. However, I do enjoy your perspective. smile

camloposted 14 years agoin reply to this

That was my initial, spontaneous reaction. On second thoughts, I think the top, striped border might have worked better in a pale grey, and I'm not sure about that green that highlights 'statistics', 'Help' and the Hub Hopping symbol. But, all in all, I think it is more chic than before. smile

            I'm laughing hysterically.

Who gives a rhino's butt about color? But I see your tongue in cheek.

The entire mode of navigating from one feature to another has changed. Where once there was a simple "Comments" choice, understood to be comments made on your Hubs, and a simple "Comments you made", all on the same page, now you have to navigate through a new tab --Activity, is it?--to find the comments you made.

How come all this happened with no warning?

I think it would be considerate of HP to spell out the reasoning for this change and to provide some navigation help.

Well, maybe they did, but I haven't found the place yet.

They seem to have split things up, for whatever reason. They didn't add 'How Many Hubbers You Follow' to 'Hubbers You Follow' either.

Yes--the change happened for me between my last-round of checking 'my account,' and the next time...a period of about an hour.

    WOW

I'm not sure I like it...as others have said..kind of "scrunched up"

    We'll see--time will tell

    Well, that was a surprise.

I guess it's for the greater good, but now I have to go through another learning curve on this site. Now I have to figure out where groups and categories and all those other things are.

I'm a dinosaur, you know, celebrating my third year here on February 22 or thereabouts. I liked the "my account" page the way it was.

This is really hard for me, a control freak. I can't control this! LOL

  9. yenajeon profile image55

I'm good with the change overall except the color. If you scroll down to see just your hubs against the "all grey", it's really depressing looking.

    1. camlo profile image80

Well, that is depressing. You need the red arrows to add that missing splash of colour.

New interface is terrible.  Why waste half the page on blank space.  Now everything is all scrunched up as they say.  No reason for this.  Filter at the top is of no practical use.  Please bring back old interface.

I like the old way much better. Also, where did the feedback button and the URL trackers, etc, disappear to?

Trackers are under 'Earnings', and Feedback is under 'Hubs'.

I just noticed the change too, it is a little skinny but I too think it's 'chic'. More modern I guess from a graphics perspective. Anyway, I guess we'll get used to it. Better to and try it out.

I didn't like it at first, but after taking a good look, its not so bad.

BUT, i don't like how i cant tell my published hubs from the yet to be published ones. I know it doesn't show a 'published date', but it was better when it was red.

    1. camlo profile image80

I think it should be in red, at least, that's what's indicated at the bottom of the statistics page.

This just in there is a glitch,at least on my account, that when you attempt to change your profile it says you have to answer the security question first.Problem is I just spent 20 minutes completely doing this overhaul and when I clicked to answer question it didn't go back to profile editing and everything I had just done had been lost sad That SUX AZZ!!!!

I like the filters (although Feedback doesn't work) and such.

I really do not like the narrow configuration.  I would rather have an option to have the old one back.

I was minding my business, clicking from one place to another on HubPages - and then I clicked to see "comments" and was shocked (SHOCKED, I tell you!!) to run into "weirdness"!! Whenever a change happens (at least on here, I tend to not go to whatever changed until I'm ready to deal with figuring out whatever the new thing is.  lol  (I stayed with the old-style home page, just because I don't want to have to figure out anything new on here.  lol  )

Having said that, I think it looks nice.

I don't like the new layout, it's too thin and scrunched up. Is there a way of reverting back to the old layout? It really needs looking at I would only give it 5 out of 10, a poor first effort.

Come on HP's you can improve this!!

I agree. Our screens are so big. Why do we have to have our information in only a center small area. It's much more difficult to navigate, especially for older eyes.

lrohnerposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I totally agree. I'm fine with every change they made except scrunching stuff up and making it smaller. Oh, and the fact that everything is off-center now with a huge gray space to the left is setting my OCD on fire! smile

OK--now--whatever was done...alllllll of a sudden, today, every time I go to switch pages, I'm getting a 'warning' dialog box, saying, "Do you wish to view only the content that was delivered securely?"

NEVER saw that before on here.  It doesn't happen coming to the forum, but it happens when switching back and forth between choices in my account...comments, comments you made, hubbers you follow, etc.

This is an annoying new development.  Please fix.
