This Hub is getting some ridiculous traffic today...over 50,000 views in the last couple of hours!

    KFC Copycat Recipes

Why such a huge jump, you ask?

Well, go over and take a look at the Yahoo! home page and you'll see this:

    http://hubpages.com/u/514728_f520.jpg

Notice the little teaser about KFC? If you click, it takes you to 'more articles about the KFC copycat recipes', which then takes you to this page. smile

Yeah, it pays to be the first result...pretty cool, eh?

How to find the Daily traffic from the Search engine or elsewhere?

      1. Ryan Hupfer profile image60
Ryan Hupferposted 16 years agoin reply to this

All search engines....mostly Yahoo! as you can see above in the images.

This Hub got some major Yahoo! homepage love and was ranked #1, so it got most of the traffic.

Yeah, I wish there was a camera when I checked my Adsense account this morning. The photo would have been priceless.

At first I thought it had screwed up and was showing me a week's earnings or something. Then I checked my channels and saw that it was all coming from my KFC hubpage.

I had just been on Yahoo, so it clicked in my tiny brain. Woohoo! Thank you Hubpages! I could never had made the #1 spot on Google without them.

Thanks for all the congrats, everybody! I have not been on the Hubpages forums for a long, long time. My life has been pure chaos for the last few months. I'm hoping for improvement soon. This was a nice silver lining for sure!

I have missed the regulars. Hi, Misha, Stacie, kerryg, compu-smart, and especially my old pal, GG! I have actually been wondering how you have been!

And it is so good to see so many new faces, too. And a special thanks for the heads up from Ryan Hupfer! He emailed me about this forum post and got me back acquainted with the Hubpages community. Thanks again, Ryan!

    Yeah, sorry about that.

Great Adsense day for me!!! Almost enough to take the family out to eat somewhere decent AND to the movies (minus the popcorn and other snacks). I felt so lucky that I bought a lottery ticket. big_smile

I disabled Kontera ads about a week ago. I remember Paul saying that it would make a difference in earnings if you got lots of traffic. Now I'm wondering how different my earnings would have been if I would have kept them turned on? Not really sure, as Adsense pays much better per click than Kontera did.

Cool!  I think that KFC released the recipe itself to get all this publicity.

I like Publix chicken better, anyway, and they'll sell you a bag of their coating.
