This Hub is getting some ridiculous traffic today...over 50,000 views in the last couple of hours!
KFC Copycat Recipes
Why such a huge jump, you ask?
Well, go over and take a look at the Yahoo! home page and you'll see this:
Notice the little teaser about KFC? If you click, it takes you to 'more articles about the KFC copycat recipes', which then takes you to this page.
Yeah, it pays to be the first result...pretty cool, eh?
How to find the Daily traffic from the Search engine or elsewhere?
And 17 new comments in the last 3 hrs. Thats pretty darn good!
Lets all celebrate with a nice big KFC dinner!?.... Your treat!!
Congratulations, that is excellent news. It really is about being at the right place at the right time. :-)
Yeah, it helps that the recipe is being moved is in the news! GREAT timing!! WOOHOO!
Yeah, I wish there was a camera when I checked my Adsense account this morning. The photo would have been priceless.
At first I thought it had screwed up and was showing me a week's earnings or something. Then I checked my channels and saw that it was all coming from my KFC hubpage.
I had just been on Yahoo, so it clicked in my tiny brain. Woohoo! Thank you Hubpages! I could never had made the #1 spot on Google without them.
Thanks for all the congrats, everybody! I have not been on the Hubpages forums for a long, long time. My life has been pure chaos for the last few months. I'm hoping for improvement soon. This was a nice silver lining for sure!
I have missed the regulars. Hi, Misha, Stacie, kerryg, compu-smart, and especially my old pal, GG! I have actually been wondering how you have been!
And it is so good to see so many new faces, too. And a special thanks for the heads up from Ryan Hupfer! He emailed me about this forum post and got me back acquainted with the Hubpages community. Thanks again, Ryan!
Angela - watch out for an email, and let us never get out of touch again!
Much love, dearie!
6th listing on the main page of Search.com
1st listing on the main page of Altavista
1st listing on the main page of Google
That could be the next hub with millions of hits
Angela - come back and weigh in on the thread again! Tell us how you did!!
Yeah, sorry about that.
Great Adsense day for me!!! Almost enough to take the family out to eat somewhere decent AND to the movies (minus the popcorn and other snacks). I felt so lucky that I bought a lottery ticket.
I disabled Kontera ads about a week ago. I remember Paul saying that it would make a difference in earnings if you got lots of traffic. Now I'm wondering how different my earnings would have been if I would have kept them turned on? Not really sure, as Adsense pays much better per click than Kontera did.
Well, my Adsense has slowed to a trickle, but it was fun while it lasted. And I will still make about double today what I usually get from Adsense.
That's because you ROCK!
You should totally do what we talked about on the phone, ladybird.
Cool! I think that KFC released the recipe itself to get all this publicity.
I like Publix chicken better, anyway, and they'll sell you a bag of their coating.
What a strange way to ask for my number, Hup. *serious face*
Wow this some good use of keywords and SEO that gave u #1 position...Kudos...

Probably not "normal" in the sense that most of us would like to have one or more of these. You have probably stumbled upon one of those subjects that is not widely covered, but has a lot of interest from searchers. This is like prospecting for gold in just the right...

One of my lousy hub, which has an ordinary url that is not quite 100%, and ordinary content has had a very good number of page views. When I first put it up it got 1000s of hits straight away.It was then found that it was not within the TOS here on hubpages, but most likely did not comply in some...
