U2 Rocks With Recent Rock Concert in Rose Bowl

Updated on October 9, 2010

U2's recent concert made history in internet streaming.

U2's "360 Tour" rocked the planet literally last October 25, 8:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time as they fashioned out a remarkable and memorable record by streaming live. The concert made history by being the most widely viewed show in the internet. Moreover, the attendance shattered the stadium's previous record for the most attended concert.
The concert which took 2:21: hours to finish was filled with high-octane rock performance and pure love, a signature U2 have had earned throughout the years.
Bono yelled, "The future needs a big kiss! to the delight of the screaming fans (more than 100,000 people showed up in the concert), the game crowd responded as they shouted back, "Yeah!".

The spectacular U2 concert held in Rose Bowl, Califronia

The promotional clip advertising the blockbuser concert had a 2.7 million views, and more than a whopping 8.4 million channel views were tracked and recorded on YouTube's host site from all across the planet via webcast. Buffered only once (about two seconds), the stream was pretty decent and clean.
The concert also propelled webcast on top of the global trending topic in Twitter. An avalanche of tweets in various languages such as Spanish, Italian, French, Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, etc. were streamed one after the other in three Twitter topics alone.
The crowd in the concert was so huge and overwhelming and treated to a U2 Fever that will surely give them unforgettable moments in the years ahead. The 48 year-old U2 frontman, Bono still displayed old fiery form but could not hit some high notes. He compensate this with his enormous stage presence which is better than ever.
The concert also featured the 360 degrees dm., 72 feet tall LED screen that was seen highlighting the tunes of the guitars and drums. U2's enigmatic political messages was again unleashed in volumes. Bono rendered the song "Walk On," which is dedicated to Burmese political prisoner Aung San Suu Kyi. "A singing bird in an open cage who will only fly for freedom," said the energetic yet very emotional Bono. Volunteers from Amnesty International climb the stage carrying Kyi's image which signifies U2's message of setting Burma free.
Clad in a laser jacket and singing in a laser microphone, Bono once again displayed awesome stage performance that is full of pulsating intensity and immense love.

(Although not a U2 fanatic, the author of this hub admire their heartwarming song With or Without You, so much)

I love U2. In fact, I have several U2 CD albums in my CD collection. What I love most is their Joshua Tree album.

As for the "Without Or Without You," I melt when listening to that song... LOL. Apart from that song, I love "Van Diemen's Land" and "New Year's Day."

I saw U2 twice on their 360 tour and they were sensational. Awesome songs matched by Bono on top form, when they played One there wasn't a single soul in the 100,000 audience not singing along with them.
