If everyone cared and nobody cried,
If everyone loved and nobody lied,
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride,
then we'd see the day when nobody died.

it is a nice song smile I'm glad you enjoyed it. They have several that I like. I saw them in concert a few years ago when they came to FL and they just as great in person as they do on the radio. (not all bands do). I think they were once voted the worst band in history or something.. which is ludicrous.

No time for you to get your gun.. Since you have no sword, I shall win this episode rather quickly. First off with your nose, then your fingers, then yoru eyes, then your tongue and so fourth... (i told you it was going to be painful). However, because I am feeling rather generous today, I may not do any of that whic I am most sure you would appreciate and wish to thank me. I accept your thanks and gratitude. Your welcome.

Exactly what kind of messages are we not supposed to post?  I can't leave a message to my old friends that I don't miss the place but I miss them?  Or how about the one I always left for my dad, "Thanks, Dad, for being Dad!"  Can I leave that one?  Or can I leave a message for some folks who lurk about reading the threads and never post (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!)  - like, "Why sho shy lurkers?"  Can a suggest that everyone go on doing what they like and disregard R.S. Hutchinson?  (Hutchinson is a town in Kansas, btw!)  How bout those message?  huh?

That's like telling people not to use emoticons! lol  big_smilehmm  so you know how I feel about people coming into the forums and telling everybody what they can and cannot do, now. lol  of course, you're kinda cute, so its ok, then.

    1. R.S. Hutchinson profile image71
R.S. Hutchinsonposted 12 years agoin reply to this

"Why sho shy lurkers?" <----that is a good line.

Now as for your apparent disregard to my rules about posting here. You too shall suffer a fate similar to Cags (scroll up- we are about to duel). emoticons... hmmm... I kinda like them so they are ok and acceptable.  And yes I knew Hutchinson was a city in Kansas. I own that city. It was named after me. Also there is a Hutchinson Island. I own that too. I'm working on Hutchinson Planet, the planet formerly known as "Pluto" (Food for thought, Hutchinson Planet will be shortened to HP in casual conversation -- Things that make you go Hmmmmmm.....)

      And yes. Very cute.

But now, TO THE PAIN with you!

is it     is it going to be?  is it going to be the kind of pain stubbed toe like pain, or more like searing hot poker on the back of your butt?  or more like a paper cut?  or just a sort of dull, gnawing pain like you get in your thighs and back after you've sat too long at the computer in the same position?  pain?  I am so knowledgeable about it, unfortunately.  (of course, you may have only meant the pain of heartache and the duel was just a clever device - dueling with jabs to the ego causing heartache, that sort of pain.  Maybe.  Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. . . .   (is it ok, then, to have parenthesis within parenthesis with several sentences involved? huh?) and so on)

since you asked and I am so familiar with it I will take the opportunity to butt on in here and answer for R.S.  - - - you know when you remember stubbing your bare toe against the leg of your grandma's old fashioned high back sofa? and how you couldn't cuss about it because she was sitting there crocheting and smiling at you?   and you know the time you jumped in the pool, only you mis-judged the depth since it was your neighbors' new one and you didn't know and you bumped your head on the bottom and you wanted to gasp but you were under water?  There pain resides, in the recesses of your sorry memory and each incident of excruciation can be up and present in a flash with just a few choice words from the master cyber swordspeople! - this is the Pain Place that cyber people visit when they duel = since we do not have physical swords we must use your own memory as our weapon. You'll get so you will offer up your own memories to be used as weapons against you - ahhh, it is insidious! big_smile
