      Since pork steaks originated in our town they have made some inroads into other states, but many of these people do not know what a "pork steak" is. I feel sorry for them.  Pork steaks at this abode and ribs too and maybe beef steak.

      They whine about everything, Yanks whine, its known, they are the only race that can be seen on Television after a big Disaster, and Stand there being interveiwed going" OMG OMG I just can't believe it (Remember not a hair on their heads has been harmed. Then on comes the Big Hollywood. My English name is one of those that settled America, and I always wonder, if I my ancestors had gone there I would have turned into a total Drama Queen as well. Thank you for their decision to go to the Antipodes.The sacrifices we make, are that we honour our fallen in all the Wars, evenm little kids are wearing grandpas medals, and march in our Streets, to lay flowers (Red Poppies on the Cenotaphs. ) We do not gripe or whine.
      Visit us on Anzac day and see how you should do it.

Ditto with my ancesters who settled in the States.  I hope my Grrrrrrr cousin takes the opportunity to understand people.. we all respect other people irrespective of nationality.. but people are always the ones that we desert when we desert ourselves.  Pretty sad outlook, I reckon.. clearly needs to undergo an Optorectomy   AND my invitation was or him to visit us for a Hungi or Boil Up   We have the right size pots for him

         I live in the US. Just born here. Not really a choice. To act as if all people in the US behave in the same manner seems just plain silly.

                         I guess a truly spiritual seeker would eschew (not chew) anything that might be disruptive and distracting to the purest quest, and eat only the simplest of foods necessary for life.

                               Are we both in the same wave length as I just posted and saw your reply. You do grasp a lot and yes I feel self preservation(i.e.,of us humans) is the first rule in Hinduism with the least adverse impact on the plants, animals and the general environment around us hence Hinduism doesn't condemn meat eating unlike Jainism (which is much stricter).

                            Rochelle- Even I had this argument with my grand mother about people being born in deserts and snow (i.e., the logic behind it). I am not sure exactly but they say only food offered to God as prasad/offering should be consumed by the practitioners (and onion/garlic are in the excluded list that can be offered).
