I use to always send hubs out straight out as they are written, after editing. But now, I'm getting more into the stye or writing 1-2 a day leaving them a day, editing them and send them out on Fridays. In Dutch Vrijdag means "Friday" so I thought it was sensible.
What do you do after writing a hub, before publishing it?
I review my hubs, read them over at least twice to ensure I edit. Then afterwards I publish them.
I often post my hubs straight out, but it usually takes me so long to write them that I've edited them several times.
But then I still usually find spelling errors! Augh!
Always better to let them settle for a day or two before posting. It's amazing how glaring mistakes or misspellings you can miss
It depends how confident I feel about the hub. If I know it's ready, I'll send it straight out. If I feel I could tweak it more, I'll keep it for a little bit longer.
Ps. Maybe you should check out your question quick for revision
I used to publish my hubs after many times editing and when I think I am ready. It would be 2 to 4 days, it really depends on how much time I spent writing.
I usually post my right away. I figure they ain't gonna get any better with age.
I haven't been doing this that long, but I always edit it at least twice, leave it over night to rest and then the next morning, read it in preview mode, make corrections and then publish.
This is an excellent method you use. It's amazing how we can find parts of articles that could be better after stepping away and then returning to reread.
My method is always to write the full Hub up in Word, then read it through aloud a couple of times. If it sounds right, it is right. Then the spell check. Next, I save a copy in my Hubpages Folder (that is simply the essay) This is done to ensure that if anything happens to my Hubpage I still have the original text saved.
I then send a copy of the Hub down to My Docs and cut- and-paste each paragraph into its appropriate paragraph box.
Next comes the pictures. These I download and place. Finally comes the paragraph header lines and the detail I might write in below or above the pictures. I don't worry much about keywords nowadays. Getting a bit too complex and I don't get any money from Hubs anyway.
A final view to see what it all looks like and, if okay. I post.
I usually write and post a Hub straight away or, at most, the next day.
Hoping this has helped.
I usually post them straight out, but it varies depending on the circumstance. If I start one and it does not get posted immediately due to something that interrupted the process, it may sit for several days. Other times I have taken a week to gradually put a hub together due to my work schedule. It will sit during those times as well.

If I Invest $1000 To Buy Articles At $1 Each To Post On Hubpages, Can I Get My Money Back?I Believe I Can Buy A 500-Words Article For $1 Each But Is This Morally Right? Can Hubpages Allow Me To Do This?

I have been writing for Hubages for over a year and I am still trying to figure out how to get my readers to comment on my articles. Is this something hubbers should even worry about?

I'm interested in poetic process. I personally believe the real writing comes in the editing stage and that all first drafts, without exception, are abysmal. As a result, I edit and rewrite a piece multiple times over days and sometimes weeks before I deem a poem acceptable for...
