How Do You Hide That You Cheated? (Or how did your friend...)

Finding out that someone cheated can be terrible- it means the love of their life (potentially) wanted to be with someone ELSE.

For whatever reason... it happened. So now, I want to ask - how would you hide that you cheated?

Would you lie to your lover constantly?
    End your cheating?
Distract your lover by dodging the subject?
Be discreet with your cheating so he never found out?

What would you do (or friend!) to hide that you ARE or WERE cheating?

I love my wife with all my heart.  What's the point of being married and sleeping with someone else?  If she's truly the one for me, then I will do everything to keep this marriage strong and unbreakable.

Some people find a thrill in "hiding" a secret. Others don't. I can't be sure, however you don't seem like you would enjoy hiding a secret from your wife unless it was something positive for her.

Have you ever had a friend cheat on a partner/spouse?

Although I can be a flirt at times, when it comes down to it I am very much against cheating... especially when it involves married couples.  That being said I have had several friends claim they were spending time with me to their "husbands/boyfriends" when in reality they were hooking up with someone else.

Interesting... so does that mean you knew they were cheating? It sounds like you may have. The really big question is, do you tell someone or not about this? and who?

In some situations I knew, others I only suspected.  The ones I knew, I convinced them to come clean.  The ones I suspected, I just told them I didn't approve of that and if it's true to never involve me again.

I can't imagine cheating in the first place.  In my view, if I'm not happy with the person I'm with, it's time to break up and move on. Hanging on to a relationship while you look out for something better - that's unforgiveably nasty in my book.

So I can't see the situation arising where I would cheat. If I did, then I think I'd feel so guilty I wouldn't be able to stay in the relationship.

I have a friend who regularly cheats on all her boyfriends (I think she told me once that she's cheated on every single one of them). Somehow she gets away with it for a bit and then breaks up with them. And somehow they don't seem to mind... they're all infatuated with her. I really don't understand it. tongue She doesn't even put a ton of effort into hiding it. Once she was hanging out in our apartment with the guy she was cheating with, when her boyfriend showed up. It was awkward.

Having worked overseas for years I have met many guys that are carrying on affairs (most of them!!) or going out to seek short term gratification. Most of us (sorry typo, them) will just happily tell our wives, girlfriends back home that they are having such a terrible time and how frustrated they are and how much they are looking forward to being home... When it comes to the women; I am sorry ladies you are not too much better! I know many expat female workers that are married back home who will also seek out solace with others while separated.

While this may be a bit of a "special case" with the couples being separated most can keep a straight face and lie through their teeth to their spouses back home about what they are doing!

I found my wife working abroad and married her there - so I was under proper surveillance.. lol
