   What is your favorite book of all time? Why is it your favorite?

      I think my favorite book of all time is "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee (her only novel). The major theme of the novel, racism, makes it a timeless work because of man's enduring intolerance of man.

   Didn't this topic just happen recently...?
   
   Well anyway, I said it was Swallowing Stones by Joyce McDonald. It's a quick and easy read, and it takes me back to my teenage years when it single-handedly sparked my interest in reading. Thinking back on it, it's only an okay book, but it's nostalgic and my theater-of-the-mind version of it begs to be made into a movie.

      Left Behind was such a good series. When I was a teenager, I remember going to the park by myself and sitting on a picnic table reading the 1st and 2nd book of these series. I still have that book today and absolutely love it. What is your favorite book of this series?

      My favorite book is Their eyes were watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. It's the story of a young woman named Janie who goes through so much but still finds a way to love.

         He has a shorter version called A Short History of the World.  The longer Outline of History, to my knowledge, is still in print.  Both are wonderful books.

   Wow its tough to share one! I love Chris Ryan and Andy McNab's... I actually feel like I am in the trenches with them! But one that I have read this past 6 months that really stood out was "Before I go to sleep". by SJ Watson.... WOW it was good

   The Good Earth and Dragon Seed by Pearl S. Buck.  Tai-Pan by James Clavell.  The Histories of King Kelson (trilogy) by Katherine Kurtz.  Centennial by James Michener.  The Eyes of the Dragon by Stephen King.  Just to name a few.

   Blood and Roses by Helen Castor. I rarely read a book twice but this one i read three times. It contains the Paston Letters which were written within a family during England's War of the Roses and is just about the only detailed inside source of everyday life from the middle class in Britain during the 15th century.

    My very favorite of all which is also a series is "The Dark Tower" By Stephen King. As soon as I finished the last one, I wanted to pick up the first one and start all over again.

    1. The Doctors Wife
    This was the first book that I ever finished in its entirety in my spare time. It was a roller coaster ride- never a full moment
    2. A Clockwork Orange
    For once, glad I saw the movie first, otherwise, their slang would have made the entire book a different language

    My favourite book of all time is "The Swiss Family Robinson".
    
    It's my favourite because it tells the story of a simple life. For those that aren't familiar with it, a crew is shipwrecked, and only one family remains. They get to shore by salvaging materials from the ship, then use the island's resources to survive.
    
    Living in a world that is gradually becoming more complicated, I think the book provides me with a moral guide-point, as well as remind me of life as it used to be. I grew up reading it, and even today I learn lessons from it's pages.
