Over the last 3 days my earnings went down 80% - what's going on?  This happened once before.  Anyone else's earning dropping dramatically over the last 3 days?

Search patterns change this close to the holidays in countries which celebrate.  (Your traffic from India, for instance, should be the same as normal for your Hubs.)

My CPM was the lowest it's ever been on December 22nd and my traffic was down by about 2,000 views for the day. Because my rankings on Google are the same, I'm sure things will start to pick up to normal on December 26th or January 2nd.

I'm sure I'm nowhere near any of you (I'm kinda new), but in my case, traffic has been great. My earning are nice too. I think my earnings  this month will close near $30. smile

It is BEST to e-mail the HubPages Team and discuss the issue privately.  It is unwise to discuss earnings publicly.

I don't think Hub pages is a earning site. But yes, earnings are reduced for last few days

Hubpages is beginning to earn again. Just not as it once did. I've been here through 3 Christmas seasons now, and it's always slow around Christmas and New Years. In between the holidays you often have a few good days. I realize that our traffic comes from India, a lot of my followers are from there. But Christmas still affects this site. Be patient.

People take time away from being online around major holidays, if there's lots of bad weather, etc.

If you were to go back through the forums and look at the end of every December, you'll see people posting about the same situation.

I am almost facing the same situation, though not as dramatic as yours. Apart from weekend dip there are holidays ahead and may be the situation will improve in the new year now.

Mine has only dropped slightly so far, but it does go up and down a lot due to various factors.

Everyone is trying to get the stupid pictures for their Christmas Cards to one place on their computer and then onto the paper to print the whole thing.
    That's my sad story.
Must admit it was so sad to see the earnings drop after such a stellar month. The only kid who cares, will be here in a couple of days and will weep with me smile

My traffic was picking up last month, I think the slowdown is Christmas. In my area of the NW U.S., we lost a whole weekend to ice storms where you couldn't drive, and then another day to the same thing. I believe traffic will return in January, when it's cold and boring, and all the Holiday activities are over. Well, at least after the big January sales.

Ah, but the January sales can come through Amazon - I did well last year in January with Amazon.

My earnings too have dropped very badly perhaps it is due to holidays and festive season, so i am just waiting for January to let the traffic pick up again

Promising thought, Wilderness. The January sales are on Amazon too. I love online shopping, especially when stores are crowded. I hope everyone does well on Amazon after the holidays.

It's been a great month for Amazon sales, even with the changes for affiliates.

I have just hit a new 4-month low. Grim indeed... The sooner December gets out of my life, the better.

The good news? My stats are still better than what they were last summer.

I earn usually under 50 cents a day, which is very low, so for me it is actually a surprise when if I ever earn more than that.
