Hi folks. I use the AdSense direct implementation, rather than the HP earnings program on HubPages. Over the last couple of days I have noticed that the number of clicks and my earnings have increased very dramatically (5 to 10 times).
Having reviewed my account on AdSense and looking at the Google AdSense group, it seems like this is a widespread issue. https://productforums.google.com/forum/ … es/adsense
Until it is resolved, I have temporarily moved back to the HP ad program. If you are using the AdSense program directly, you might want to review your recent earnings and make a change too until this is sorted out. You could also consider reporting strange click activity to Google, here: https://support.google.com/adsense/cont … ks_contact
Hi there Paul,
You need to have AdSense to have the HP ad program, don't you?
Are you changing anything on your account to resolve the issue? I reported invalid clicks, but beyond that I don't know what to do.
We have an update.
HPads should now be updated.
Google is still working on a fix for their reporting
Whoa! Definitely higher than usual. Thanks for the heads up. Incidentally, I use the HP Ad Program and it is showing significant activity.
There's more information here: http://oko.uk/blog/highctrattack - Sounds like Google are well aware of the issue.
Yep! We noticed the same thing on our main account. Google (AdSense) confirmed it was a widespread issue and that they are working on it.
Wow! Yep - same here. Thanks for the heads-up!
I switched to HP as well, but I don't know if that will stop the click bombs from coming. I do hope Google recognizes the victims did not instigate it.
I use the HP program and I still see a huge increase in Google Adsense earnings... about 30 times more than I usually see. I figured it was an error. If I could make that kind of money every day, I wouldn't need a day job.
Same here. I figured it was too good to be true, but it would be nice, wouldn't it?
Google has ways of dealing with click bombing.
It happens more than people realize.
But an increase in clicks and earnings is not click bombing.
In fact, google wipes out invalid clicks now as soon as they happen, or shortly thereafter.
So if the money and clicks are still there, let's say a day later, then they are valid. Of course google does more verifying at the end of the month.
I would not worry about click bombing. Nobody needs to worry about it who is on the up and up.
Google wants you to make tons of money. That means they will too.
I'm betting HP Ads are affected, too; which would explain the earnings not updating. Now HP has to waste an untold number of man-hours having to clean the mess up, instead of doing whatever proactive project they originally had planned for today. Consider this post a Monday morning hug for HP Staff.
I cannot understand why anyone in their right mind would do something like this. It is pure evil.
I don't know if it's just me ...
I am not trying to get anyone's earnings information, but can anyone tell me if they are not seeing reported earnings in the HP ad program for the past two days? I am not seeing any. Thanks.
stats are always behind for one reason or another. Week-ends are slow with everything.
I am so close to the threshold on my account with adsense, so I turned off the HPads to send it all to adsense. Is there something I am missing because it is still moving so slowly - is there a way to be paid the $95.00 that is already there and then I can turn it back to HP since I have been making more per month. Can one who could make this decision contact me and let me know if this is possible? I appreciate your concern and help.
Between your seniority, your number of hubs, and your traffic accolade; I submit you will easily crash through the G payout threshold by this weekend, very probably sooner. Hang in there.
Edit. Let it reach at least $105 so you have a safety margin.
Google is the one who pays you for your AdSense earnings, not HP, so no one at HP can help you out with this request. AdSense doesn't really offer much in the way of customer service, so I doubt even reaching them to ask is possible, but you could always try. Ultimately, though, I think you'll just have to wait until you hit that $100 mark to get paid. Also, keep in mind that once you hit $100, payment is not immediate -- Google will pay you toward the end of the following month. So if you hit the $100 mark in April, you'll see your deposit from Google during the last part of May.
Google has kept the money in my account, too. I hope they do not keep it there too long... I am starting to get my hopes up! I know surely the numbers are not right, but it would be so great if they were.
We asked Google about this, and it sounds like they're not going to retroactively correct the Performance Reports. Instead they're going to make an adjustment on the Payment History page at the end of the month.
Is this issue solved already?? I just entered my adsense page for the first time ever in 2 years to see what earnings I have and there is nothing. Everything is zero, that cannot be, can it? Either its part of this ongoing issue or there is something wrong with my account set-up.
Can someone from Hubpages give me a walkthrough on my adsense account to make it work?
Glad I looked in here. Thought my Adsense account was at risk!
I've been click-bombed too (and I use HP ads as well) all by a user in San Francisco using Firefox on a desktop computer.
Only one of Hubpage accounts affected. Seems someone has opened every hub and clicked a few ads on each.
My account was fine until this evening. Now suddenly it seems to be hit also.

What's up with all the One Penny Google AdSense Earnings?Lately, all I am earning from Google AdSense is measly 1 cent clicks. Why is that? I used to get some decent revenues from Google AdSense clicks. HubPages Ad Program is my primary advertising mechanism, but I still used to...

Twice this week, I checked AdSense, and saw some nice earnings in the 30 to 50 cents range, due to ad clicks (I assume). Both times, these earnings disappeared when I checked back again a few hours later. I understand that earnings are not final until final, but the most recent case was...

I think it is related to images being used for the HUB ads and Google ads. When I turned off the Hub ads my adsense revenue rose significantly. I think it is because the block of adsense ads to the right of the column of text below the title returned to text based rather than image based. I think...

Hello everyone!I'm having a little problem with my earnings here. I did everything right, following all the steps in the instructions about how to integrate my adsense account with the HubPages.Sometimes, in my earning's report, I see the hubpages appearing as it had a click, but it don't show it,...

Before joining hubpages ad program I was happily watching my earnings go up with google adsense. I have more hubs now but my earnings are now down to practically nothing! Could somebody explain this to me and what I can do to rectify the situation. Thanks very much!

So, since Panda (or since the HP ads thing came out and I signed up for it... I can't really tell which given I'm mainly too lazy to look very hard into it)... my earnings have all transferred to HP ads and only a trickle of Adsense.Do HP ads populate INSTEAD of adsense, but not totally (since I am...
