Once my brother said that it is better to live five days like a lion than twenty five days like a fox.

"Do one thing, and do it well."  Oddly enough that was on an Orville Redenbacher commercial - but his point is good.  Instead of running around like a$$es and doing 10 things at a time and not one of them getting done well or correctly.  Choose one, do it well, put your all into it - then move on to the next task.

My selection of the best may change according to how relevant it is at any time.  For now, I'm focused on: "Begin the search for God; and in finding God, see the pain disappear; watch the lack, the limitation, and the sin vanish."

Put all of your burdens on the Lord, and seek Him always, and all shall be added unto you.

To pay attention to whomever is giving you advice.  You don't take marital advice from a divorcee!

The best piece of wisdom I have ever received is "Never place a period, where God has placed a comma".

The best pieces of advice are always the most simplistic. The best and most valuable lesson I ever learned was "don't worry about the past. There's nothing you can do to change what happened so don't waste time regretting it. If you made mistakes then learn from them and move on. Don't waste time on regrets."

That you are entirely responsible for the condition and situation in which you find yourself.

As a child of God, that says a lot. But only by returning to Him can one truly take full responsibility and dissolve the chains that bind one to the past.

My Dad said "There are many ways to kill a dog." actually he should say "to skin a cat" but it still sounds brutal so I just take it as "Think outside the box..." that could mean persistence, or if there is "no way" then "create the way"...or something like that.
