Personally, I think it is to learn and be true to yourself and your convictions. Everything around you can change in an instant, but who you are on the inside is always there.

Don't miss today! That is the most important life lesson one can learn. Don't miss today!!! I need to have a bumper sticker made with those words on it.

God has given us one day...to L I V E...one at a time is all we get. If we get lost in anger, frustration, sadness, wanting something else rather than what we have, today is gone.

Use every opportunity you have to say the important things to  family and friends. Use every moment you have to get the most out of every day.
In my  family we have two family members who have fought for a large part of their lives to stay on the planet. Both have received a terminal diagnosis.
That is the main reason we have adopted this as our mantra....do not miss today!!
None of us is guaranteed even a moment....so missing even one of them is not an option.Really valuing and treasuring the company of my loved ones is the most important life lesson I have learned. God walks with me and carries me often. He lead me to be able to focus on today.

We are infinite and can grow, learn always. remain open in love and peace to live and learn, grow, take in and share. Sharing the wisdom I grow every day, taking good care of myself and my family, becoming a successful artist.

To love your neighbour as yourself.  No man is an island, we need one another in order to exist completely and enjoy life fully.  We need love - someone to care, share or just be there for us in our time of need.

Kindness and compassion.  If you can put yourself in someone else's shoes for one moment, whether family, friends or strangers, it goes a long way in dictating how we treat people and understanding how they feel.

Get to know yourself and what makes you happy. Apart from what family and friends want for you, know what you want for yourself.

You must be happy with you, before you can make anyone else happy!

Humilty. With advancing age, or increase in material wealth or knowledge comes a bloated ego and arrogance, for most of us. We think we have seen the world and know everything or that we are above everything and cannot be answerable to anyone.
Like the tree, which stands tall and straight when young and fruitless, bends lower down with the weight of the fruits it is bearing and gets closer to its roots, that is the earth, we must likewise become more humble as we add on weight of our material acquisitions, the knowledge gained, the status acquired in life and all other achievements in life, by becoming more humble and compassionate to others around us. This is the mark of a true human being.

    To go forward.........

As I look back on my girlhood............there were many hardships and lessons.

My Grandparents, knew nothing of computers, self service gasoline pumps, self check out counters, or online shopping...............

    Their greatest gift to me............

    trust your own thinking

I know how to manage my money, spend it wisely, know a scam when I see it, and to question and learn of evey new development.

I utilize many things that my Grandparents could not have imagined.........in fact, I sometimes call upon my own daughters to guide me through the new electronic offerings..........

sometimes, they assure me, and sometimes, my quiet still voice, says...........no, not yet, you need to know more,

    Trust your own thinking!

Personally, every lesson learnt in life is important part of life.

We learnt through our mistakes so we do not commit the same mistakes.

We learnt to appreciate what we have and what we can give to society.

Growing up in life always encounter lots of life lesson and it has all the important value that go with them.
