   Christians, would it bother you if atheist put signs in their front yard saying "There is no God"?
   
   I live in the bible belt and every 1/4 mile there is a religious sign in someone's front yard or a church. It never bothers me but I have always wondered if Christians would be the same way or if they would be rioting demanding the signs be taken down.

   Why should it? They would just be doing what atheists do. It would present a great opportunity to believers to pray for their salvation and to share the gospel of Jesus with them (provided they are willing to receive and believe it).

   I don't think that would happen because that would invite evangelists to come-a-calling to save the atheist's soul  which is the last thing an atheist would want.
   
   It would be akin to putting a sign out that says "Buddha is dead".   Why would anybody do that other than to simply annoy nieghbors?
   
   If a person is not christian but believes in some non-god-related religion - is that person considered an atheist? Not all religions are based on the judaic-christian-islamic tradition.

   I believe in freedom of expression, so any sign that displayed an opinion would be fine with me.  However, any sign, be it Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, Atheist, or Little-Green-Menish, that promotes hate, incites anger, or is defaming or derogatory  toward any group of people is an affront to everyone, and while it is their right to post it, it is also my right to ring their doorbell and call them an idiot.

   I would feel sorry that someone feels that way. To me, without God, there would be a void I would be unable to fill.
   However, that is my view. Anyone who has a different view is entitled to voice it. I would not be much of a Christian if I were intolerant of other's viewpoints.

   What concerns me is that anyone can be an Atheist or non-believer, in a world of believers. I would feel real pity for individuals who post signs in their front yards or any where else. Our faith has taught us as Christians to follow Christ and His teachings and if we are given the chance to tell others of Christ, then we should. We should also respect anyone's beliefs, whether they contradict ours or not, and respect their way of life. Forcing a belief upon others is not the answer and should not be done by anyone. Anyone has the right to express their beliefs to others and also if they want to scream to the world that they are unbelievers, then our country's constitution gives them permission,as long as they are in their yard. They may march in the streets, as long as they do not create turmoil and violence, are given the right. Some areas may require permits. As a psychologist, If I saw this sign of atheism, I would wonder what issues they may have had in the past to cause such actions.

    After reading all the other questions that you have asked about christens Peeples, As a christen, A true follower of Jesus Christ,Yes it would bother me, but it is a free country and you can put what you want in your yard.I hope you wont be offended if I had you to my prayers tonight.

    Not at all! It is their chose to believe that. We all have free will to live by our own will or by the will of God. Just because someone chooses not to believe in God, why would that offend me? He still loves them no matter what, shouldn't we?

    as a christian there will be a sad feeling that they don't belive in God. but it wouldn't bother me though because people are entitled to have their own right and belief in things. we shouldnt insist our own point of view or opinion to other people. they have their own insights and have their own mind

    I am for freedom.  What you do on your land is none of my business. Hopefully they would surround it with some nice flowers to show off God's creation.

    What bothers me about the answers is that several people have said they would "feel sorry for" the person or that they are to be pitied.  That seems to display a lot of arrogance, not a very "Christian" quality. Everyone has a right to their own belief systems, without being judged or looked down upon by others.
    
    In more direct response to your question, of course, everyone has the "right" to put up signs in their yard.  I'm just not sure why people feel like they need to push their religious beliefs upon others - insecurity?  I guess that's a different Q&A forum question!
