If you had to move to a country other than your home country, which would you choose?
I would move to England, the country of my ancestors...beautiful countryside, tremendous history, and I would love to visit the village that my family used to call home!
I would move to Spain, for the history and food and dance and people and food and language and food.
A relatively easy answer for me; Japan, because I lived there for 10 years growing up! Although I do want to get over to Europe sometime.
I would move to Argentina; specifically, Buenos Aires. My partner's family is there, and it would be nice to be close to them. And the city is lovely.
USA(climate should be cold),i think they accept people of different ethnicity
THe climate is cooler compared to some areas of the world, but it is not cold to me! When our friends come from India, they wear long sleeves and light jackets during our Spring, which see natives wearing short sleeves!
Depends on where you live. America has all climates from tropical to really cold. As far as friendly, that varies too. Oklahoma is one of the friendliest but then I'm biased. )
California's pretty friendly too. And there are different climates, with cooler and rainier in the north, warm beach weather in the south nearly all year round, and desert hot and cold in the east. Then there are the mountains.
other places i would like to visit or live are UK(Scotland,England) and Ireland.
I've done this and moved from England to France where I now have a beautiful house which I run as a B&B and a holiday cottage with large gardens and a field. I could never have afforded this in England. I love living in the heart of the French countryside. I love the green, the wildlife, and the clean air. I came for the good life and that's just what I found!
I moved to a country and chose England. Wanted to be close to other European countries and work using English, which was not my native language.
Native English people asks me if I can cope with the weather. I do! I cannot stand the heat, so I am fine most of the year. Drizzling bothers me but I prefer it to rain. Although it has been raining quite a lot lately.
More specifically, I like London. It is a very cosmopolitan city, with many people from different countries and cultures. It is never boring!
i would either move to the U.S. or Vietnam. that's about the only tother places i could see myself living.
Without any doubts I would move to Sweden. They speak my mother tongue and I have lived there before. Now I live in Finland where I was born.
I would pick Berlin just because I love the art work and the mix between new and old. Doesn't hurt that I know German fairly well and I have family there. I think it's a beautiful country with so much history and great food, baked goods, and beer!
I just moved to US, so experiencing this country now and liking it so far, next would love to live in Europe!
I would probably move to Wales or Ireland. The scenery there is beautiful, at least from what I have seen in pictures.
I saw it earlier. Je suis d'accord... je pense. J'ais oublie tres beaucoup de francais. Dommage.
I have already choosen in a way. I am no living away from my home country, Malaysia. Currently living in Singapore!
Rome, Italy. I love the history, and living in that city would be so intriguing, and exciting. The coliseum. The pantheon. The ruins would be an amazing place to sit and write. Inspiring, awe-inspiring, and just the fact that you'd be walking the same streets that all those historical people walked would blow my mind.
I would move to Australia, I have always been a fan of their politics, culture, and overall experiences they have (such as Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia). I would definitely move there if I wholeheartedly wanted to.
If money was of no concern, I would move to Switzerland in a heartbeat. I absolutely love the Swiss Alps, especially during the spring.
Italy. The people are warm, the beaches are warmer, and the food is hot.
I would settle for Australia or New Zealand. Either one would be a great home closer to my homeland, the Philippines. Switzerland would be the farther option, such a beautiful country! But, I ended up in Canada!
My first thought was beautiful Canada...nice that they speak English and it's close to my American heartland. Then I thought, Mexico, because it is so inexpensive. But then I read your answers, my Hub friends, and begin to dream of more exotic places: England! France! Italy! Brazil! That's why I love to travel and love the cuisines from other countries.
I would have to say England or Scotland. The photos that I've seen of the English and Scottish countryside gives me the desire to want to live there. My parents had gone many years ago for one month to the English town of Surrey and they were in love with it...they traded homes with a school teacher couple from there. The couple came out to California & stayed in my parents' home for that month while my parents were at their home.
Even if I can't move there, I would at least hope to one day be able to do what my parents have done, so that the stay there could be an extended one, rather than a rushed, short vacation.
definitely korea! I noticed that koreans are polite, respectful and traditional type of people. I love the way they bow when greetings, very polite when answering a call and family gathering is important to them.
France or Italy for the interesting history, art, museums (specifically Louvre, Paris) and charm that I've read about.
I would choose to go to The United States of America because I find the general populace there better informed and more mature compared to Asians and Indians for that matter.
Definitely Japan. I would just love it there. I love everything about it. Hong Kong would be a close second, though.
Singapore would be my choice. Small, compact, and trully amazing!
I would choose Jamaica for some not so obvious reasons... The people there have been as warm to me as the weather has been good for me.
I would choose Japan. I feel a connection to that country even though I've never been there.
Anywhere where my loved ones are. Presently, we're all together where we are so I can't imagine moving away from my home country.
I would say Canada. Maybe I'm wrong since I haven't been there, but from here it seems very friendly and calm. Beautiful nature also.
But I doubt I will ever move from my lovely homland of Sweden...

What country would you choose to live in (other than your home country) and why?For example, if you're from the UK, you might choose to live in New Zealand. Your reasons might be because of a similar culture or language. Or it might be because you love the mountains. Thanks for your answer!
