If there was a way to go back through time, would you dare to do it?

I would if I could get back here. I would go to visit old friends and family. Family that's long gone and friends I have lost track of. That would be my only reason to go back.

That would be such a great way to get closure, before it happens...

I'd be tempted, because there'd be so many things I'd want to see, but I wouldn't purely due to the scary thought of altering history and also there's the whole paradox thing- what happens if I accidentally kill myself or a family member?

I definitely would. I would love the horse and buggy days of the south! I loved those dresses and those hats! Ah, I would go back and probably never come home!

I would love to have the opportunity to travel back in time. That is as long as it's a safe thing to do.

Yes, Poethepoet, it would have to be safe.

No - because if I could back and had to stay there I would not want to do that.  If there were a way to go back in my own past but that involved my leaving any number of points along the way..  that would be too hard to do all at once.  As far as going back in time - as in "history" - I'd never want to do that.    As imperfect as things may be now..   none of the "good old days" was all that good - not even as recently as - say - the 1960's and 1970's.

That's very true, Lisa.  The grass may not be any greener.

Time travel has always been a part of science fiction. But sometimes fiction predicts the proof. Traveling back in time may cause one seemingly unimportant event to change, which could prevent your parents from meeting, thus you were never born and suddenly you are gone because you never were.

History has recorded the past. The future is unfolding before us. Our immediate concerns are today. We can see what happens tomorrow and we know what happened yesterday, so it is best to stay where we are.

I respect, that, Larry.  You could well be correct.

Even if you could and I doubt it is possible what would you do there.

Also where would you fit in that time past in a 3D way. You would be taking up space that might already be occupied by something or someone.
