Calling all Atheists, Christians, and everyone in between.  Will everybody go to Heaven?

In a world of extreme religious inclusiveness, do you believe in an exclusive God and His Heaven?
    Why?

This is the type of question I like.  I like questions that makes one think.

    (1) Atheists don't believe in the afterlife. They contend that after one dies, his/her consciousness ceases to exist. They believe that one makes his/her heaven right now on Earth.  They further believe that the concept of heaven according to religion is merely a pipedream, schizoid method of escapism, or even a delusional rationalism that people use to avoid taking responsibility or to endure a less than positive situation in his/her life.  Some will go far to maintain that heaven is a tool used by religionists to placate, exploit, & to gain power over the masses.

    (2) Christian beliefs regarding everyone going to heaven varies.  Liberal, progressive, enlightened, & evolved Christians believe that all except the most evil will go to heaven.  They believe that God is a compassionate & forgiving entity.  They believe that God is universal & inclusive, being beyond all types of exclusivity.  They maintain that the stereotypically judgmental & exclusive image of God are man-made constructs fostered by religion.  Conservative, dogmatic, fanatical, fundamentalist, & traditional Christians believe that only certain people will go to heaven.  They maintain that one must lead as near a perfect life as possible in order to go to heaven. There are some among them who staunchly believe that only a minute percentage of humankind will go to heaven while the majority will go to hell as humankind is inherently sinful &/or evil anyway.

    (3) Non-traditionalists vary regarding the subject of who goes to heaven. Some believe that all people will return to heaven w/ their shortcomings being forgiven. Others believe that only people w/a high consciousness level will go to higher states of being or even submerging into the divine i.e. heaven. There are those who believe that only people who have attained a perfect state on the earth plane will go to heaven while others will reincarnate until they reach that perfect level, no longing needing to be on the earth plane.

Great summary!  Among the 3 groups, where do you stand...if you don't mind me asking?

Help me out here -- this is sincere. You write about what atheists believe. I cannot see it as atheists together believe in anything. All different and no belief. What am I missing?

Then there's the group that says there is no afterlife or god, but we'll invent an all seeing, all knowing AI and way to upload our brains to the singularity - creating a God and afterlife.

    Talk about an unanswerable question!
I guess we all have to figure it out for ourselves.

No. Only those who have accepted Jesus Christ. Without Him there will be hell to pay.

What is the Fate of Those Who Reject Jesus Christ?

And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. (Matthew 25:46)

But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation: (Mark 3:29)

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth.

And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. (Isaiah 24:21-22)

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: (2 Peter 2:9)

    The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:41-42)

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,

And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13:49-50)

    And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. (Luke 16:22-24)

And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. (Revelation 14:9-11)

Susan, Wait a second. Are you saying God cannot pardon anyone that God wants? If I follow you right you are saying that God must follow the script you laid  out. Now we are telling God what He can or cannot do?

Susan - What if the Heaven being spoken of is not of the Christian God, would you say you aren't going to that one then? You assume that the God being spoken of is yours, what if it's not?

I don't want to see Muslim suicide bombers go to heaven, though in fundamentalist Islam, they are assured immediate entry to the highest level of heaven.

Who's to say their highest level of heaven even compares to a Heaven where Jesus reigns.  Probably doesn't compare since they regard suicide as a virtue and Jesus calls it a sin and their heavens have levels so Im sure there heaven is lower

Of  course not, as there is NO Heaven, and Hell is here on Earth.
Even the biblical view of heaven saw a third of the angels leaving by their own choice. And they were there, and right near the biblical God

Imagine how that would affect customers if they saw that on Yelp

The angels did not leave by choice.  They were thrown out.  They wanted to take over heaven for themselves.  Satan want to supplant God.

"There is no heaven, and he'll is here on Earth". Why can't we create heaven on Earth as well?

No, not everybody will go.  Only those who are saved through Jesus.  We are all sinners.  We cannot get into heaven on our own.  We need to accept that Jesus died for our sins.  That's all we have to do (and be good).  Without the blood of Christ, no good deed we can do will ever get us into heaven.

God cannot decide? Little babies that die at birth? Great men that were never introduced to Jesus? This hard and fast rule limits God. How amazing man can limit God.

lolita,  good answer but you must also repent of your sins
eric- what you said is not scripturally correct.   the scriptures explain how  both  you mention can be saved.

If you think you are then you WILL and heaven is just another word for better place so you choose if a better place you go according to your idea of what a better place is for you, your idea of heaven. And using that as an indicator now think about if you feel that you deserve this better place by measuring what you consider bad or good.  If you decide good then no doubt heaven but if you feel bad then you might be going to the worse place hell what you consider to be the worst place. Not everyone has the same idea of heaven and hell since people's preferences vary.  Like one guy might think of hell is bad because there is fire but some people enjoy fire a lot. Fire might be heaven for this pyro so it's really what you believe individually to define a heaven or hell and even more so which one will you be going. GOD really has no control over what we believe so therefore he isn't the one who decides where we go our subconscious is our spirit guide when a person dies.

What a mess of un-scriptural beliefs.   This is not even a valid question for this section as it is about Christianity, the bible and Jesus.    The only thing that matters is what does God believe, no one else can give an eternal answer.
THERE IS ONE answer given that is correct that of Lolita.   The first sentence of Susan is correct but incommplete.
How can anyone that is not born again and filled with the Holy Spirit talk intelligently about the scriptures when the scriptures make it clear that without these two steps no one can understand them.
You who profess to be Christians that read this trash and do not speak against it should be ashamed.
