“Apparently, some in Hollywood are more than willing to promote violence against Trump supporters. Meanwhile, Democrats and liberals in the media want us to believe that it's Trump’s rhetoric that needs to be toned down.”
https://pjmedia.com/trending/hollywood- … -liberals/
I've always said the real violence in on the left. It is ironic that liberals are so anti-gun, yet are producing such a movie. What a bunch of hypocrites. I know many liberals and NONE of them know anything about firearms. For liberals...that would be guns I'm referring to.
I'm a liberal and would challenge you on your statement about us not knowing anything about firearms. These sort of ignorant statements show your lack of knowledge about the left. I wager I own more firearms--and can shoot better--than you do.
Oh, you have no idea. None. Don't even go there with me. You look even more silly to me than you normally do...THIS you need to let go. Have a good day Randy and thanks for the humor.
Glad to entertain you, Mike! After all, you entertain many of us on the left with your hilarious claims. The wager still stands. Open sights at 200 yards would be a nice contest to decide the matter...
I appreciate the offer, but I think you need to realize you and I have two different ideas when it comes to competitive shooting.
I really enjoy it and regularly participate in international Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) shooting as well as Silhouette shooting, trap shooting and more. Have you ever gone Cowboy shooting? THAT is fun. There is also winter ski shooting, etc. Then there is always the choice of weapon for competitive shooting, bolt action v. leaver v. magazine, caliber of bullet, etc.
Competitive shooting in my world involves much more than shooting tin can off of a tree stump. Oh, I should let you know that a man from Georgia is the regional shooting champion for the IDPA. He is from a place called Lawrenceville, GA. Have a good day Randy.
I've participated in competitive shooting as well. Pistols, shotguns, antique firearms, black powder, etc. are all types of firearms I'm familiar with. Grew up hunting and shooting and seldom used a stump as a target holder, despite your suggestion.
The offer is still open...
If I ever get near Georgia, I will let you know. I enjoy shooting and really wouldn't care if you won every shooting match. I'd just smile....and tell you how I let you win. Promise not to sing "Deliverance" when I shoot? (Not serious. Just having fun.)
Feel free to drop by anytime, Mike. I'll even take you to a dove shoot and see how good you are with a shotgun. If you've never been to one, you'd enjoy it. Trying to hit a mourning dove is much harder than shooting skeet. The average amount of birds per box of 25 shells was 8 at one time for the average shooter.
Gunning down the mourning doves sounds like a compassionate way to start your day. Not a cowardly act at all.
I love little animals.
Because they taste so good.
"Gunning down the mourning doves" Thank you for putting your ignorance of nature on display. Hunting animals makes certain their species doesn't over populate and tip the balance of nature. Trust me, there are plenty of creatures that do NOT make it through the winter or are taken by other predators. Hunting ensures they have a sufficient food supply and more. Oh, and the animals you hunt are free range and have no steroids or chemicals in them. I could go on but I'll stop.
I shop at Publix because I have gutted a deer in the snow . My cousins would milk a rabbit of their guts out of their ass. I have banded More Cows than you have eaten in your whole lifetime. And have cut more pigs than you've eaten bacon.. now you want to condemn mass shootings while reveling in the Slaughter of morning doves. Because somehow you think it's your place to cull a species
. Well humans are overpopulated too
And don't call me ignorant. It's a stupid thing to say
Hello aware.....If they call me ignorant, than so be it. But I'm with you. Gunning down mourning doves for "fun" sounds particularly disgusting. Not surprising coming from hypocritical Randy, but Mike's good with it too? What ever happened to hunting deer? It's not as if anybody actually eats dove, even if they say they do. Well, I hope they at least pick up after themselves. Those are the hunting rules after all.
People eat dove. I don't know any dove hunters who don't eat what they kill.
Interesting. I hear that after being cooked, they're the size of a chicken nugget. I hope you are right about most dove hunters. But in all areas of hunting, there are good, ethical hunters and bad hunters who don't give a damn. I have no idea which lane either man falls into.
But thanks for the response.
Hunting for population control. Is off-putting and not our place.
Unless you are a vegetarian that's a ridiculous stance. I've met many like you. Completely oblivious to where food comes from, making bizarre statements that are completely alien to the actions they obviously support; if judging by their nutritional choices.
I grew up on a farm. I've banded more cows then you have eaten hamburgers. And have cut more pigs than you've eaten bacon.
I doubt that. I'm a big meat eater. I owned a slaughter house and we processed wild game in the winter.
Things die so you can survive.
Well I don't kill mourning doves to live. And we raised red angus in Lebanon Oregon. We also had a hay bailing biz. And I understand forced Extinction it's what we do best. And goodmorning
I don't eat alligator, but someone at our table ordered it last night. Not everyone eats the same things.
If people eat what they kill it is no different from you eating a steak from an animal that you let someone else kill for you.
If the dove population was such that shooting doves endangered the continuation of the species no one would be going on dove hunts.
Your sensibilities are of no greater importance than those of another.
Good morning to you, also.
You don't eat cockroaches do you? If it were not for domesticated animals that we raise all wild population of animals would be extinct.
Other predatory animals rely on the dove population to survive. Especially predatory Birds wild cats and dogs. And we compete for their food source we endanger their existence
Apparently you aren't "aware" of areas where the deer population has gotten so out of hand they have to go in and slaughter many to keep the others from starving to death. Many were not fit to eat as they were skin and bone and no bigger than a dog.
With few natural predators to keep their numbers in check, man is forced to fill in for them.
This is very true Randy. I live one mile from a large wooded metro park. In the winter we have heard of deer half-starved roaming our properties just looking for food, and every morning dead ones at the side of the roadside to being hit by cars. The Metro Parks have a team of snipers who cull the herd in various parks. It's sad but seems very necessary, and humane.
They're walking around starving next to your supposed neighborhood because you have forced them out of their habitat. Now that you've stolen what they rely on you want to humanely kill them? Sighs
So what's your brilliant idea for keeping the animal population down, dude?
You obviously know nothing about wildlife. I'm from the country. No shortage of habitat and if the populations aren't controlled it happens. However, the rise in the coyote population appears to ensure that won't happen. Too many babies are being killed.
Are you ok with predator hunting, to save the babies?
He apparently lives in South Florida where the pythons are wiping out all native wildlife and he's lecturing us about why hunting is bad. Right!
I just find the denial of the natural order of killing to eat bizarre. I think people think meat magically appears in the butcher's case with some unseen sign guaranteeing no animals were harmed during processing.
Hunting just removes the middle man.
And i and for aggressively hunting the gator. While you're blasting mourning dove with 12 gauge birdshot. A can't miss projectile. you keep gunning down innocent Birds you couldn't hunt the reptile if your life depended on it
You are a bird Hunter. Do you want to shoot things out of the sky because you can't fly.
And we hunt wild pig down here in South Florida.. aggressively Neck deep in the Cabbage Palm...Not some mourning dove duck on the pond bulshit. What we hunt will kill you back. You keep shooting whitetail deer and turtle doves
So, killing is ok with you. As long as it is something you want to kill.
That's just crazy, creepy.
You are obviously ignorant of dove hunting. They are not shot on a pond, and we don't shoot turtle dove. Plenty of wild hogs and deer here as well. But you do realize there are more deer killed by automobiles than hunters? But you probably don't use an automobile because of the danger to them, right?
Randy your type were quick to gun down the buffalo too. Because somebody told you it was your right and necessity to do so. I can't fix that.
Never killed a bison, if that's what you're referring to, dude. And you apparently cannot fix anything...
You are into population control which is something that I am not into
No. It isn't for population control. I eat a lot of venison. We make sausage out of it, adding pork fat, hamburger, we eat roasts, use it for stew meat, etc. The meat budget goes a long way when you harvest your own meat.
Dove is very good too. I don't eat a lot of that because my husband doesn't regularly bird hunt.
And culling the Bobcat or mountain lion population in the United States. Is why the Florida Panther is an endangered species hell it's not even a Florida panther anymore they had to bring Texas mountain lions in to stop the inbreeding. You don't talk about my state. And I wasn't born in Florida I was born in Georgia and I lived everywhere in this country who the hell are you
I didn't bring up Florida. What's your problem?
I see bobcats and occasionally panthers on my farm. Don't believe everything you read, dude. And I'll talk about your state like I talk about mine. It's not up to you what I speak about. You need to wake up, dude!
Nature is the apex predator.. starvation is its bullet. In many places the human population has gotten out of control. And people are starving. Skeletons with bloated bellies walking around. Where does your compassionate killing idealism come into place with that?
I don't equate wild animals with human beings. Trump supporters do that.
I don't "equate wild animals with human beings" as you claim, Randy. Your comment sounds like Hate Speech to me. That's against HP rules. Do you care to clarify?
Was I speaking to you, SD? No I wasn't as you can plainly see. I was talking to the Fla. dude. Jeeze, you are a bit sensitive....
Nothing to do with sensitivity, Randy. You stated, "I don't equate wild animals with human beings. Trump supporters do that."
I am a Trump supporter, along with many other people on HP, and in America for that matter. Spin it any way you like, but your statement addressed ALL Trump supporters and your comment constitutes Hate Speech.
Obviously you do not care about HP rules and quite possibly HP doesn't care about their own rules, but I do. Otherwise, anarchist and trolls rule this site and that is not okay with me.
If you do not care to clarify your statement, that is perfectly fine by me. I'll take the matter up with HP. If they do nothing, I'll take it up again, but even higher. Hate speech is unacceptable according to Hubpages. It is time they implemented their own rules.
Oh, come on. You're a Trump supporter, which means you support hate speech by definition. I'm not saying Randy's comment fits the definition of hate speech but even if it did, why do you suddenly care? Trump spews hate from his mouth and his Twitter feed pretty much daily and you're okay with that.
Now I've seen everything.
I do not support hate speech. Being a Trump supporter does not mean Conservatives supports hate speech. That is why we give Democrats the benefit of the doubt before calling them out. If you have chosen to believe the "hateful" lie that Trump supporters support hate, you are mistaken.
If you choose to support Randy in violating the rules of HP, that is your prerogative. You've been banned before, so breaking HP rules is apparently not an issue for you.
Not as much hate as those who hate him. I doubt Trump says anything nearly as hateful as you can. The primary purpose Trump seems to serve is giving many some belief in license to be unkind, and enjoy while they do it.
Holier than thou? I don't think any can top the modern liberal.
Whatever SD, it's not my problem you support a man known for his hateful rhetoric. By supporting him openly, you support his words and actions. Do I need to point out the words from his mouth? Now he's pushing conspiracy theories and accusing a former POTUS of having a hit team.
Do you support this?
No we shoot 'em down and leave their bodies to rot in the fields, SD. For this some people pay up to $500 a day. Actually, no birds go to waste and yes, we're required to pick up our spent shells before we leave the field.
"than so be it."

Randy, we can go back to arguing about politics in a minute.
You know I would love it. I've never been dove hunting. I go pheasant hunting and duck hunting. I'm pretty good with a 12-gauge shotgun. I'm sure it's the same concept. You shoot where the target is moving not where it is at the moment you see it. Is it safe to say that dove hunting is much the same?
Mike, shooting dove is much more difficult than other types of wing shooting as they dip and dart at amazing speeds. On one of the past shoots there was an army veteran just back from Afghanistan with a bucket of shells and a gilly suit. After watching him shoot many times without a hit, I told him, "I hope you can shoot a rifle better than a shotgun."
As for eating them, a dove breast wrapped in bacon and peppers is delicious on the grill. By the way, entry into a good dove shoot can cost up to 500 dollars a day. I may be able to sneak you in though.
I do believe there's an article I wrote with some videos of a shoot on here somewhere. Sounds like a war zone...
Randy, sounds like a great time. I don't know what the laws are in Georgia covering out-of-state hunting permits. I go to different states and will go hunting at lodges. In these states, you can come from out of state to hunt without purchasing a license IF you hunt on private property AND have the owners permission. The lodges own the property...so it's okay. I like how the lodges will clean your catch. I could do it, but I'm no longer motivated to do it. Some will even let you use their kitchen to cook it if you like. I would enjoy it quite a bit.
Do any of the characters in the film describe the people being hunted as Trump supporters?
Do any of the characters in the film describe themselves as Trump supporters?
Are any of the characters in the film identified as Trump supporters in any other way?
It's funny you argued that a well used and innocuous phrase had to mean racism, when there were plenty of alternative explanations, but now you are questioning and implying if they didn't specifically say something in particular no one should read between the lines.
This movie stands to further the hateful climate we live in. A climate "we the people" have ultimately created. Time to start looking for solutions, and stop supplying gas to the flames.
If the movie is as described in the article, I do not approve and believe it would be irresponsible to release the movie in this current volatile atmosphere.
Well, I say that the real violence on on the right, so we have a quandary here, yes?
Mike, you have a lot of preconceived biases.
What about MCConnell and the viral photo depicting an assault on AOC?
So it is being done by everybody but only the Right has been associated with the body counts.
Oh, what about the many assaults on people with MAGA hats? I will say the left does not discriminate. They will assault anyone of any race or color who has on a MAGA hat.
Conservatives have been hounded out of restaurants. Madonna wants to blow up the white house. Antifa showed up at Tucker Carlson's house. BLM harasses Mitch McConnell talking about cutting out his heart...and the list goes on.
And there is also the movie about assassinating George W. Bush called Death of a President.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_a_President_(2006_film)
This is the short list.
Body counts? It was a Bernie Sanders supporter who shot Congressmen practicing for a softball game. The Dayton shooter was an Elizabeth Warren fan. BLM supporters shot and killed Dallas Police....and the list goes on.
The violence in on the left.
And you were saying........
https://news.yahoo.com/being-eaten-with … 48513.html
Why do you think Trump is so concerned about concealing this information?
Hope you're broadminded enough to see Time Magazine as an authentic and mainstream news source, but again maybe not.
What makes you think he is trying to conceal anything at all? After all, it's common knowledge that we have supremacists - applying a label to them, however evil sounding, doesn't change a thing.
Beyond that, what you suggest? A witch hunt as we did in the past for "communists", siccing the FBI on anyone they deemed communist?
I did not ask him why. Did you read the article? The reasons are made quite clear within.
Not allowing the DOJ to share pertinent information on the topic or to muddle how the information is recorded so to minimize the magnitude of the problem is what is being suggested from the article.
Confusion. Yes, I read the article and it said nothing about concealing anything. In any case, that would be hard to do when they march down the middle of the street carrying signs. All the article said was that the FBI was doing nothing about people legally collecting guns and using their first amendment rights.
Do you have something indicating the DOJ is prohibited from sharing information about lawbreakers? Or that it "muddles" how the information is recorded? Again, the article indicates nothing of the sort. It doesn't even "minimize the magnitude of the problem"...but then neither does it "maximize" it as this article does.
We've had the supremacists around for a hundred years, starting with the KKK. There is nothing new going on, whether we suddenly decide we want to label it "domestic terrorism" or anything else.
"But White House officials did not specify which new authorities are needed. Nor does the Administration’s record offer much hope. In the early days of his presidency, the Trump Administration gutted the DHS office that focused on violent extremism in the U.S. and pulled funding for grants that were meant to go to organizations countering neo-Nazis, white supremacists, antigovernment militants and other like-minded groups."
So, Wilderness, with a rising problem why would the Trump administration go out of its way to do this?
We need to keep records on these assaults, all assaults, their source, frequency and magnitude, do you have a problem with that?
By the way, revisit your history, the Klan has been around since the aftermath of the Civil War, a little more than 100 years.
Conservatives may not take this stuff seriously, but you can bet that I and those of the same mindset do and will and those that ignore the ramifications of negligence regarding the problem responsible.
"So, Wilderness, with a rising problem why would the Trump administration go out of its way to do this?"
Because it's a waste of money, doubling efforts for no gain?
"We need to keep records on these assaults, all assaults, their source, frequency and magnitude, do you have a problem with that?"
Which assaults were not recorded?
"By the way, revisit your history, the Klan has been around since the aftermath of the Civil War, a little more than 100 years. "
Good - we agree then, for that's exactly what I said. Nothing new going on - it's been happening for a hundred years.
Because it's a waste of money, doubling efforts for no gain
Excuse me, but where is the evidence of that, outside of just you saying so?
You asked why Trump might do that. You don't like the possibility I suggest, ask Trump. I haven't talked to him, after all - for you to ask me to supply suggestions and then discard it in favor of a conspiracy theory doesn't make a lot of sense.
This has been a problem since Trump went into office. "If I don't know something, I'll ask someone sure to be ignorant of the answer. And then I'll say that isn't right and make one up myself - one that allows me to degrade Trump because that's the ultimate goal, after all!".
McConnell denounced that photo and stated that it did not condone that type of action against anyone.
The "anything for a buck" description applies to many large conglomerates, corporations, and organizations including the NRA.
When we see the NRA producing such videos, let's talk.
But, I agree most large corporations let the desire for money be their compass.
If you watch the trailer, you will see that this is a spun marketing campaign. Blum is banking on all this noise and falsehoods. http://movieroar.net/movietrailers/2019 … t-trailer/
I know this movie is total fiction.
Liberals hate firearms. They are anti-gun. I've never met a dedicated liberal who knew the first thing about firearms.
Those who support President Donald Trump are very well armed. They would not hesitate to shoot if shot at by anyone.
This is just a way for some Hollywood liberals to make a couple of bucks on a low-grade movie that appeals to their base.
Mike, you are guilty of stereotyping in a big way. Many liberals own guns and know how to use them. Most of us are not ant-gun, but believe hunting and personal protection can easily exist within a framework of rational gun control. By the way, many conservatives believe the same thing.
Yes, I am stereotyping.
Try to understand I've been the victim of stereotyping as well. Simply because I support President Donald Trump I am not a racist, anti-gay, etc., etc., etc.
So, I have no problem stereotyping liberals. My description does fit the liberals I know and are in my family. I know...that shouldn't matter.
I do have one question.
"rational gun control"
Is the Democrat liberal model of this working well in Chicago?
ALSO
What about all the deaths in the United States cause by knives? Is there such a thing as rational knife control?
"China, another society with very strict gun laws, also has mass murders. A 2014 terrorist knife attack in Kunming left 33 dead and 143 injured. A series of school attacks in the early 2010s killed at least 25 in total; while not all of these school attacks were mass murders (five or more killed in one attack), some meet the criteria: eight schoolchildren murdered with a knife in Nanping in March 2010; nine murdered in Hanzhong with a meat cleaver in May 2010."
https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/08/ … hout-guns/
A man in California recently killed four people with a knife.
"A man killed four people during a stabbing rampage in Southern California before officers found his car parked outside a 7-Eleven convenience store and arrested him, authorities said."

""A man killed four people during a stabbing rampage in Southern California before officers found his car parked outside a 7-Eleven convenience store and arrested him, authorities said.""
That's a mass stabbing......
Here is a link to the movie's trailer. It's obviously not a high budget film.

Looks like yet another re-telling of "The Most Dangerous Game," which has been filmed at least a dozen times since the 1930s.
Universal Pictures has decided to put "The Hunt" on the shelf for now:
https://news.avclub.com/universal-cance … 1837129746
I know someone's son stars in the movie. She thought this might happened.
You got us. Every single one of us is helping produce this movie! We are all the same.
I would like to point out to all who are against hunting that it is a very regulated sport. Each state government has a department that manages the wildlife populations in their state as they have for several decades. They determine how many hunting licenses are to be issued, how much an individual can obtain during a particular hunting season and more. Hunters pay quite a bit of money is taxes to support these state departments. Fear not, wildlife is being properly managed and the states are being compensated with tax revenue. When you add the taxes paid on hunting equipment as well as the various business revenue generated from hunting, it is a good situation. Hunters help wildlife populations remain at safe levels in the environments they occupy. Wildlife populations are regularly monitored.
Mike, thought I'd pipe in to say we've found something to agree on. Who'd of thought, right? Pigs can fly, lol
Oh good. I find a topic that I agree with you AND Randy. I think pigs are doing more than flying. They may be operating fighter aircraft at this point. LOL.
