We went away for the evening to attend a tribute to Paul McCartney.
Luckily we made it. I was a bit concerned with my health issues, but this was something we had already planned.
I hope to see ya all in between football games tomorrow...after we get back.
It was a wonderful night of the Beatles hits.
I've never heard about Paul McCartney. What is Paul McCartney?
Paul McCartney is pone of the greatest singer-songwriters ever. Have you heard of The Beatles? Paul McCartney and John Lennon?
John, I've heard of the Beatles and John Lenon. Is MacCartey associated with the Beatles? On my part of the world, Lenon and the Beatles are twice. And, as far as I can recall, is McCartey associated with Lenon in the award of OBE by the queen of England? Thanks
Yes, he was the lead singer for most of their songs and he and John Lennon wrote most of them together. After the Beatles he formed the group Paul McCartney and Wings. He is still performing.
John, thanks for updating me. And to add more to my knowledge bank, I'm going to dig Britannica and Wikipedia.
Miebakagh
I'm so happy you are learning about the Beatles.
Yes Brenda, yes. Half educated is dangerous, or no education at all. Knowledge bank, must be updated constantly.
Thanks John for informing Miebakagh.
It was not as good as seeing the real Paul McCartney, but it was fun.
Miebakgh, what?????????????? Have you never heard of The Beatles? John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison. Holy Mackerel, Miebakagh, The Beatles were all the rave. Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson are/were rivals for their fan base.

It seems years away. Elvis and Micheal are already late. I learnt all that from local newspapers and magazines which can exhibit bias...the reporter will leverage on his/her favorite star or musician. Ringo? No on my part of the world. Even when MJ in his 20's got married to his 60 some lover, I read it. Back, they's no internet facilites on my world's side. Heard of the Osbornes of the Tropicana fame.
Just wanted everyone to know why I was missing.
Pamela
Thank you.
This was planned as part of his Birthday celebration.
That must have been so much fun! I am glad that you got to attend that event.
Peggy
Thank you.
It wasn't too far from home, but we stayed in hotel over night just to be safe.
We had a wonderful time.
This would have been wonderful, Brenda. I am glad your health held up and you enjoyed.
Thanks John.
Me too.
It turned out to be a bit expensive, since we stayed overnight...but that's okay.
It's those little moments that count.
Rosina
Thank you. I'm glad we got to attend and have a night away.

Paul McCartney - how sick, how sad, how unbelievable, his crappy slur to Bush and to Laura on his high night in the White House. Not to mention Obama has all this time for entertainment right now? If it were Bush or any other Republican President he, or she, would be attacked like a...

Both were singers and gutarists for The Beatles but which one had the better solo career? John wrote about War, Love and Peace. Paul has had a longer solo career but has he made the same amount of classics as John did? Personally I like John Lennons music over Pauls. I welcome everyones opnion.
