John writes an interesting article about online writing and how it has evolved over the years. John stresses the need to diversify as a writer so that we can improve our reach and, of course, grow as a writer.

The poem at the end, "Would You Wear a Tuxedo to the Beach?" gives a great message to all writers to find their respective audiences and try something new ( and maybe be a bit different and experimenting) in writing. Thanks, John, for sharing. The link is as below.

I agree with you, John that we must diversify our writing space if we want to earn money via writing. Your poetry further emphasizes this point, and I truly loved it and enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks, Ravi, for sharing John's work.

    Hello John!
Perhaps, you have read the mind of the writers like me. I am thinking on the same lines, and agree with your thoughts. And, what a great way to communicate your thoughts in a poetic way. I like the title of your poem.
Inspite of the increased page views on HubPages, the earnings keep on dropping, which is difficult to understand, and one obviously loses motivation, due to lack of interaction with other writers.
Thank you for sharing this thoughtful article.
Thank you Raviji for highlighting John’s poem.

Hi Chitrangada, Maybe I did read your mind haha. I think many writers are thinking similar thoughts since earnings here at HubPages continue to drop. I think we need our fingers in a few pies. I am glad you enjoyed my poem and its title. Take care.

John, I think one of the best ways to convey a message that people will remember (and actually take the time to read) is through humor, and you've done that perfectly with your poem. This was great!

I agree, Linda. People get sick of being preached to, and poetry using humor can create a much more subtle and more interesting way of conveying a message. Thank you for reading and your encouraging comment.

    John...
What a great poem to help inspire others.

It is true that writing needs an audience.

I did see a man in a tuxedo on the beach, but that was for those once in a lifetime wedding pictures.

Your article makes good points & I try to write in different places, but perhaps it's time to add a few.

      Hello Brenda,
Thanks for reading. Yes, I never considered beach weddings and tuxedos lol. I do think we need a few strings in our bow, but without spreading us too thin. You can’t write everywhere.
