I've come across a hub that has nudity on it. (Vintage) and was wondering what you'll think about it when hubpages' terms of use says... and I quote...
"4. RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITIONS ON USE
In Your use of the Website and Service You must abide by the following restrictions and prohibitions on use. As a Website user or Author, You may Not:
* Create Hubs that include any Content or links that is pornographic,"
AND ALSO
"You are solely responsible for the content in Your Hubs including text, data, images, video and links that You display on Your Hubs with the Hubpages Service."
So then... why is it that some are getting away with this?
Just wondering what you think...
ProCW
It's on a hub here. I promise!
The hubber has been here for quite some time and has a VERY VERY high rating. I was wondering if because of her traffic/scores, SHE is allowed to do this...
ProCW
Why even bring it up otherwise.
You want me to play 20 questions?
everyone has their own definition of nudity and how else should I judge it if I don't know what yer talkin' about?
If they can do it...
I'm exhausted it's 4am i'm out.
it also states in the terms of service that i can't link to it... hmm...
i don't want to violate anything intentionally.
it doesn't however state that i can't tell you how to get to it ...
type this in the search up top... "vintage pin-ups" and it will come up...
it really is a great article and is very well written - by someone that is without doubt a great writer... don't hate me please...
K... here's the bright thought of the night...
maybe she doesn't know they are there (didn't think of that before...oops)
ProCW
I never hate anyone. I just don't care enough. I find it more interesting why you won't just post the link. G'night.
Sorry. I just don't want to post to a link that has that. But I did tell ya how to get to it. Oh well. Goodnight DJ. (I was referring to the writer to not hate me... sorry if I wasn't more specific with that either.) But, I'm glad that you don't hate me!
Hopefully she'll read this and figure out how to fix it.
Goodnight

Looks tastefully done to me- I don't see anything that I would consider pornographic. Girls in bathing suits, in a hub about the chronology of women.
Well if it's this one: http://hubpages.com/hub/Standards_of_Be … d_Timeline then I'm confused at where the pornography is.
I could find no porn on that page.
Its not anything she posted. It's in a link - from ebay...but it comes up because of the whole "pin-up" thing...
At first I didn't even realize that it was ebay and just saw the pictures and was rather astounded.
I agree the article is very well done!!! And tastefully at that! But there are links to porn in the ebay capsule (EBAY!!!!)
I think if she was to change Pin-Up to something else that would thematically fit, then the porn postcards and images wouldn't pop-up. right?
ProCW
going to bed now. i hope there aren't any hard feelings. i honestly didn't notice it was in an e-bay capsule before i posted... more concerned than anything... i really don't want anything like that coming up on my hubs.
Good Night,
ProCW

Hey, Maddie, if you get a chance, check it out. If it doesn't come up right away, refresh the page a few times. When I went back to it a few minutes ago, the same pictures were not there. I found it a little strange, so I refreshed the page. The same ones weren't there, but some VERY similar ones were pinned-up (g'night.)
Sorry OPif that really is the hub what are you takling about: girls in bikinis and swimsuits? LOL
ProCW is a swell guy. He just saw an ebay image he thought was something else and it sounds like a mistake to me. I really would not worry about this one folks. It was just a mistake .
I think it was just a mistake. ProCW is such a sweet hubber and even if he made one mistake it is not the end of the world.

Im writing a paper for college and I need some ideas please..What is your point of view when it comes to pornography, are you against it or for it?? And what social issues are behind it?

Why are so many people "offended" by nudity?Does anyone else ever wonder why we are so offended by nudity? We are born that way and yet many people are repulsed by seeing another human being naked. As a society we seem strangely tolerant of seeing beautiful people’s flesh and less so if...

Why does America consider full nudity in film pornography, while bloody, graphic killing is not? What has gone wrong with us when we consider bloody dismemberment, gore, and extreme physical and psychological abuse less objectionable than the natural human form?

What do you see happening here? Do you think it's appropriate or not?

Some of my hubs have ads/links to sites which show pornographic material. I would like to block these ads but do not know how. Can someone please advise. Thank you
