Is it just me or is it getting increasingly difficult to trust this government of ours. I understand that President Obama is trying to make everything more transparent, but one still has to wonder about how much goes on that we don't know about.

Government is too big and too important to be left to the politicians.

When a government is large enough to hand out aid - they are also large enough to take all you have..... Thomas Jefferson

      Really? Coulda fooled me.

And you should never 'trust' government. It is a citizen's duty not to trust them.

    You make this thread WHY?

It's a complete waste of effort.

These are just some of the topics already dedicated to your rant. It might be better if you did a little deeper research of the political forums threads? Which is obvious that you didn't.

However, if you would like, I've a few hubs dedicated to opening people's eyes to the problems in America.

How much time do you have?  The country is run by a bunch of hirelings that are in it for the money.  They do not represent the people or their interest, but their own.  They have sold us out to the highest bidder (lobbyist) Up to recently a person in the Congress or Senate could go to prison for a felony and still receive their pension!

    Hubbers

Just recently Congress passed a pay-go bill, President Barak Obama announced that any new spending would require the money to fund any new spending would have to be offset with savings from other sources.

Senator Bunning is holding up passage of a bill ($15 billion )
to extend unemployment benefits for workers.

Senator Bunning wants the Obama congress to fund the bill per the requirement of the pay-go bill.
The Obama administration wants to borrow more money to fund the bill, apparently the new law don't mean anything to this congress and the president.

Senator Durbin of Illinois, majority whip in the senate, stated that the majority will increase the request to $100 billion if the smaller bill is not passed.

The minority party asks where in the budget will the funding come from. The democratic majority has yet to respond and justify the expenditure.

The 111Th congress has a 75% non approval rating, it may be considered by some as corrupt.

Senator Bunning has a valid point. But why not just withhold funding from some foreign nation like Iraq, or Pakistan, or a number of any other foreign countries we dole out money to in the BILLONS. Considering this point makes his point BS.

The problem lies in the fact that a LARGE majority of the citizens have not a care in the world about government and politics. Let them do it so I can play my video games and text my friends, seems to be the popular attitude. So while noone is interested in the workings of government, our polititians allow special interests to rape and pillage at our expense, as long as their pockets are lined and they get to keep their candy ass, all expenses payed jobs.

A problem I see is that if you try to communicate with your Congressman or Senator, you get a "I understand it better than you" response. I didn't vote for the guy but I should still have a voice. My absolute favorite part is that I can come visit him anytime in D.C., but not in his office that's 20 minutes away. Uh HELLO!

By the way, the bill that he "understood better than me" did exactly what I said it would. NOTHING.

President Obama is trying to increase the government and take more liberties away from the American people. And yet, the same people who agrees with this lunatic who wishes to use the government to control the people, spoke so harshly about President Bush.

President Obama is, in my opinion, a radical leftist. He does not like the U.S Constitution, is a socialist and should not ever be trusted.

He does NOT know what he is doing. He is worse than the last president.
