   I am still craving for a Bacon Buttie as they are illegal where I am, I could be deported for owning one, unless I ate the evidence..
   
   Anyway, what is the strangest food you have eaten;
   
   I've eaten Kangaroo, ostrich, crocodile, snake(not sure about variety), zebra, and wildebeast to name a few...

   I've eaten alligator...dove...squirrel. All kinds of cheeses with rinds and such (which some consider strange).
   
   My grandfather swore I used to eat cow brains scrambled in eggs with him when I was a very young child (i.e. less than five years old). I have no memory of this though, and can't imagine that I would have been okay with eating brains - sounds pretty nasty to me, at least now. I didn't totally believe that you could get them! He said you could order them from the butcher. *shrug* Maybe someone else knows more about that? He says I ate froglegs with him once as well, which I can believe.

      My ex-wife used to swear by whole pigs heads - eyes, brains, the lot... I could not even watch (sorry if anyone just visualised this..)

   Some of the strangest stuff we consume, may be hidden in our bologna, hot dogs, potted meat, vienna sausages, etc.  Who knows just "what all" is actually in there?

      I remeber an email I recieved years ago with pictures of two guys sat out the back of a restaurant butchering rats to make them look like bits of chicken...
      
      My ex also used to work in a sausage and pie factory, she always told me not to eat them!!!!

   Cat Fryes = Oklahoma (really...don't need to explain that one...think of all the parts of a Cow's anatomy you see at a butcher shop...and the ones you don't. Yep...it's those...?!Needless to say...for me it was just a sample...some folks were going back for seconds and thirds...Yikes!)
   Bullfrog legs=Louisiana (probably not that weird to the locals)
   Timber Rattlesnake=North Carolina (taste like chicken...but then so does everything when you try to describe it...right? )
   Reindeer = Norway...(probably not too unusual from venison...but try buying it at the supermarket in the U.S.)
   Flowers=Costa Rica (don't know what kind of flower it was...but they were good with eggs!)
   A Goldfish=College Party...back in the day...Thank God...I don't remember what it taste like )
   
   That's all I can think of...and these are plenty enough!
   
   Do they really have chocolate covered ants, and do they eat big bugs, and monkey brains in some places...? Yikes!

   oh definitely the rotten shark, marinated for two months in beach sand and seawater. Visit Iceland, its the local delicacy. Apparently, opening the tub on Icelandic Air violates their carriage rules.

      I ate a daffodil flower once... found out afterwards that the stem is poisonous, glad I only ate the yellow pretty bit..

   I haven't eaten many weird things that I remember - once in awhile a fly, but not on purpose.   I had beans n ham for lunch.  had it for dinner last night and lunch yesterday. Had it for breakfast on Sunday and dinner Saturday night. I can't keep any friends for long.

    let's see...a lot of different kind of animal in jerky like alligator, bison, pheasant, etc.
    
    then I tried two millworms
    
    and when I was younger I ate chips that fell into car grease Yes I am werid what can I say...also tried an ant once..they are nasty!

    I had poi when I was in Hawaii.  It is revolting.  It is wrong.  It is the epitamy of evil.  It is thrust regurgitation from the bowels of death.  It's a disgrace to be created, let alone digested, underneath the American flag.  It must be burned at the stake!

    Wow, some interesting answers here! I'm a big chicken when it comes to trying different foods. However, my mother-in-law has eaten possum...I've been at (filipino) parties where they were cooking goat meat. Not a great aroma at all...so I couldn't ever bring myself to tasting it. LOL!

       I think goat depends how it is cooked.. Eaten it several times, more taste than mutton or lamb..
       As to the filipino parties... pigs intestines with pigs blood, cant't remember what they call it, but I could not force myself to try it..

    Apart from some pretty weird food when travelling in South East Asia like tiny little spicy bony fish, I have eaten Kangaroo, witchetty grubs, snake and field mice in Australia.
