Transition to Level 3

You will find yourself in the Grand Hall, and eventually work your way back to Harry’s bedroom.

Chapter 3: Mischief Managed

This first area, has a lot of studs, and a knight in golden armor. Shoot him and get Knight 1/5.

This area also has doors that require keys. If you go to the statue on the left, you can levitate a torch, and it will burn some devil’s snare that will drop the big key. You can then manipulate it so it goes in the red keyhole.

Go on to the right side and blast the cabinet, and some parts will come out. You can shape these parts into a knight, and then blast the chest he is holding. Even though it can’t possibly fit, you will have the second key. Use the key with a little levitation power.

You and Ron can do a little bit of dual levitation to turn both keys, and open the doors to the next hall.

There are a lot of studs to be obtained down this hall. You should be able to zap the golden knight here for Knight 2/5. Be sure to hit that pillar with the torch on it too, as it can give you a lot of studs.

After turning the corner, you will find Knight 3/5, and more things to destroy for studs.

Eventually, you will come to a big room. There is only one way out, and it involves opening the big door in front of you. To get out of there, you are going to need a cauldron.

There is one there, but it is hidden. Go in to the right corner of the room, and switch to Ron if you aren’t him already. Go to the shaky chest and have him use Riddikulus on the bogart/spider. Zap the chest, and levitate the materials until they form a cauldron for a strength potion. You will need the tooth, the thorn, and the skeletal arm. They are easily found here.

You will notice that Knight 4/5 is in the right hand corner of the room, by a snake. After you zap him, take care of the pixie that is holding the hammer. Go ahead and levitate the hammer so it is over the snake, and then bring it down. You will have hit him, and his tooth will fall out. Put it in the cauldron.

In the left hand corner of this room is Knight 5/5. Take him out, and get yourself the Blue Crest Portion. Take out the banner that is up on the wall. This will reveal the thorn that you need for the cauldron.

You will find the mechanism in the big square in the middle of the room. It will have a green block, red block, and blue block. They have to be levitated and stacked on the purple 2x2 block there, in that order, with green on the bottom. The area will open up, and you will see what chain you will need to pull. Zap the skeleton, and take the arm to put in the cauldron.

Once you use the strength potion, you can pull on the chain to cause a stone to rise up from the floor. You then need to levitate the stone so it parks on a pillar, which will cause the door to open up.

You will find yourself in another area, and there is another cauldron. It is attainable in the middle, using Lumos on it. You will need the spider, chicken leg, and some berries.

The spider is easy to get. Just have Harry go in front of the snake door. Since he speaks Parseltongue, the snake will retract and bring out some Lego boards. Levitate these boards, and they make a scaffolding on the outside wall of where you are. You can snatch the red spider from there. Jumping out of it is kind of tricky as you must jump on the banister there first, and then up once more. Put the spider in the cauldron.

As for the red berries, I found that they would appear after I went to the fountain, and then destroyed the statues around them. Then levitate the parts to make a wheel, and levitate the wheel to turn it to get some water going. (Some plants will grow here too.) Smash a few plants in this area, and the red berries should grow for you to put in the cauldron.

Remember those plants that grew on the wall? You can use them to get to the top, but you might want Harry to do it with his Invisibility cloak. The reason why is Filch is on guard there, and he will capture you if you get too close. The same rules as dealing with Filch apply. If he captures you, switch characters, and zap his cat Mrs. Norris. That will always make him temporarily let go.

There is a room with a Chicken leg. Behind the table is Character: Fred (Sweater).

Put the chicken leg in the cauldron, and then have Ron and Harry drink from it. This will turn you invisible, which will come in handy for what you need to do in the area above. You have to go up and go all the way to the right, and do a team levitate on the statues in order to open the door. It can be done visible, but Filch tends to get in the way. You might wonder why you should turn invisible when Harry has a cloak, but Harry cannot levitate and wear the cloak at the same time.

Go on and enter into a new area. You can get some studs here, but there are two chests that have to be hit. You can use the materials in them to form a violin, and then play it to put a wizard to sleep in a portrait. The man will throw you a key, and you can use it to open a door and leave the level.

Why not go ahead and go to Part 17?
