Drink a few drops of lemon or eat a small piece of ginger. Then drink s lot of water with French bread.
I always found my Mama's advice on this very sound: eat some soda crackers and sip on some Sprite or ginger-ale.
Vinegar. Drink a little bit of vinegar. I find that pickle juice is the easiest to go down. You might also try a little baking soda and water.
upset stomach is usually caused by hyperacidity, so taking vinegar might worsen it. try eating some soda crackers instead.
It seems like that would be the case, but it has always worked for me. Here is a little background info on why it works. http://healthwyze.org/index.php/compone … ds-and-bak
I've had much trouble with my stomach in the past. I find that peppermint tea settles the stomach. I also use a natural tincture called "lobelia", it works wonders! Ginger also works well, you can use either ginger pills or natural ginger ale as well. In more severe cases I use charcoal pills. They really settle things down. I too am interested in home/natural remedies.
Crystallized ginger is my go-to remedy for a problem stomach. It also works great for car sickness. If you have minor discomfort after eating, chewing on a teaspoonful of fennel seeds will aid in digestion and help eliminate gas temporarily. Baking soda can also be helpful, but the crystallized ginger works best in my opinion.
Crystallized ginger can be found at Trader Joe's or most any health food store for a reasonable price. If you don't live in an area with these types of stores, you can usually find it in small, more expensive packages in the baking aisle of a grocery store.
What works for me is a tablespoon of baking soda mixed in a cup of water then drink it down. It neutralizes the acid in your stomach and settles it down. Sodium bicarbonate is the name of the tablets you can buy in the store if you don't want to keep a box of baking soda with you all the time.
Well, to stay out of chemistry, we can always try the oldest remedy: short walk. It can be surprisingly effective.
I always go for herbal peppermint tea. Works every time for me and is definitely good for your health!
Pickle juice, the acid in the vinegar will work wonders. Try it you will be surprised!
Ginger can be a good remedy if you like it ,thats what i would have done
I eat a little piece of Ginger, or drink the Gingsing Tea, or a little glass of GingerAle Soda. It seems to help me a little, when I have a upset stomach.
Drink the juice that comes out of a raw potato when you cut it open. I know it sounds weird, but it really works.
Saltines and ginger ale. Ginger is soothing and saltines help absorb digestive acids that can cause an upset stomach. Drinking water may nuetralize stomach acid as well.
Peppermint, ginger root, and/or hot water with lemon juice, coke and potato chips Or ginger-ale.
There are different home remedies of settling upset stomach. But I will tell you how I deal with upset stomach without taking over the counter meds. I experience upset stomach after taking much junk food, and when it happens, I will take a cup of natural (extracted) oranges juice and relax for a while and definitely, I will be fine. And again, lying down by the side and massage your stomach repeatedly clock wise direction, works too.
I've heard that taking a shot of lemon juice will help. I've not verified this myself, but a friend who's majoring in medicine recommenced that to me and said they've tried that and it's helped before.
That is good if you do not have any gastrointestinal illnesses. For acid reflux you can drink as much water as you can handle and still have hearburn.
Ginger ale always worked best for me. Now my dad and my sister will drink a glass of milk to settle their stomachs. Everyone is different.
Munching on saltines. Crackers will absorb the acid in your stomach which helps make you feel better.
If it's a persistent problem, a doctor should be consulted. It could be a symptom of a serious problem. I would say generally, ginger ale or ginger tea, the root is very good for soothing the stomach. Some people use a half teaspoon of baking soda in a half glass of water. Chamomile tea with an infusion of peppermint tea is very soothing, especially at night.
A large teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in about 8 oz of water. If you can't handle the taste, add a tsp of lemon juice. I drink this when I have an upset stomach, or if I feel like I ate too much or even after drinking a few beers.

Anything I can do for a dog with an upset stomach? My little dog wakes up occasionally with what seems to be an upset stomach....or bowel issues? He won't eat, even his treats. I took him for a walk thinking that might help his system loosen up. He was excited about the walk, but now he's back home...
