You will love this song composed by John as a parody of the song 'Rose of Cimarron" by the country-rock band, Poco. The many health benefits he shows of Cinnamon and the videos of the band Poco are equally amazing. Look what I mean at the following link:

      Hello John!
There are so many things included in this interesting article. I loved your poem, so suitable for a nursery rhyme.
Cinnamon rolls are one of my favourite recipes. Thanks for sharing the health benefits of cinnamon and Linda’s recipe.
      An enjoyable read.
      Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Rosina, for sharing this interesting post by John.
Best Wishes to both of you.

        Hello Chitrangada,
At first, all I had in the article was the poem/song and it was only 150 words, so I decided to add a bit about Poco, and some info on cinnamon. I was quite happy with the outcome and glad you enjoyed it.

    Yummy! Mouthwatering song! big_smile
John, I enjoyed your sense of humour. I can smell fresh cinnamon rolls and am craving for them; do you deliver? It's my birthday on February 22nd, and I'd like to have cinnamon rolls instead of cake; cake is so out of fashion..... wink tongue

Jokes apart,  I really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for sharing Linda’s recipe as well. We have a bakery called Cinnabon in Pakistan; we don't have it in Spain; do you have it in Australia?  Or have you ever tried it? It’s worth trying. Thank you very much for making us smile with your rhymes. It was fantastic.

Thank you so much for sharing, Rosina.

Blessings to both of you! smile

Hello Misbah, I will have to package up some cinnamon rolls and send them to you for your birthday. I will try to remember to wish you a happy birthday on 22nd. No, we don't have a Cinnabon as far as I know in Australia unfortunately.
I am glad you enjoyed the song and my sense of humour. Blessings to you.

Thank you for sharing this Rosina. It was really a joy to read and listen to the Parody John made.

Cinnabon have it in other parts of Asia and USA and UK too I guess, Misbah. My favorite are chocobons. But I can't eat too much sweets now due to my condition. We have various branches of it here too in the Philippines.

Gianella, There were some Cinnabon branches in the UK, but as far as I know, they have all been permanently closed. Caramel PecanBon is my favorite smile
Don't worry, I can't eat them either. It is not available in Spain smile

I love your tribute to Poco. I bought their first album when it was released. Loved their sound then, love it now, and they truly were pioneers of that genre.  Great tribute, my friend!

Thanks Rosina for sharing John's ode to Poco and the many benefits of consuming cinnamon.  It is a staple spice in most people's homes and has such a distinctive odor and flavor.

I've never heard of Poco before, but I'm going to investigate them now that I've read John's article. I love the rhythm and the lyrics of his song. The facts about cinnamon were interesting.

Cinnamon is a part and parcel of most of our dishes. Not only cinnamon, we also use quite a lot of spices for aroma, flavour, colour and health benefits. Chicken curry to desserts to even tea, we use it almost everywhere. The cinnamon rolls look yummy and your poem is a lively read as always. A teaspoon of honey with half a tsp of cinnamon powder every day in the morning can have a lot of health benefits unless contraindicated for other health conditions. Never heard of the band Poco before but they seem like a wonderful group of singers. This was a very informative and interesting read...

When it comes to the pen, John is a great all rounder. I enjoyed the gun atmosphere in the PO, and the additional information is a bonus. Thanks.
