A recently released poll shows Trump is losing ground among several groups. Women only approve of him by 25% and he's lost evangelical Christians favor down by 17%. The truth is catching up to his many lies.

Well, impeachment seems like a real thing suddenly. If you haven't been following the news.

        1. Trump said there was no contact with Russia.
        2. Michael Flynn said there was no contact with Russia.
        3. Trump asked Comey to stop investigating Flynn.
        4. Comey says no. Trump fires Comey.
        5. Flynn pleads guilty to lying about Russia, admitting there was contact with Russia.

You do the math. That's obstruction of justice.

The latest poll that I saw showing the drop in evangelical support was the Pew Research poll.  This is the same type of poll that has been showing evangelical Christian support for Trump very high.  It's still high, but has dropped 17 points.  The trend for Trump overall is down and many polls show the same thing.  You can choose to ignore this is you want, but that's a little like sticking your head in the sand.

The Pew poll  is a big deal, and it's not the only one showing this epic downfall. The one thing that struck me is that the Evangelical Christian approval rating fell 17% from the previous poll. While there's still a majority of them that support him, it's slipping...and these are the most steadfast group around. Wow.

No, they have gone down significantly.  Not all of us agree that 'the country is thriving'.  I see Trump doing great harm to this country that I love; I see the rest of the world laughing at us because of this behavior; and I see his behavior alarming.  I will not 'move on' until that changes.  We are not only speaking out but working hard to help bring about those changes.  I've never seen this type of political involvement in my lifetime.  We'll move on when we see changes like those in the recent Virginia elections.

For one , You totally ignored the damage that Obama did to America ,  you ignore the fact that Clinton would have been twice as disastrous ,  Sanders would have destroyed us completely  And that the right in America which is paying half of the cost of the most expensive reign in history [Obamas } ,  STILL has to clean up the mess is the is the ONLY  breakaway from tradition quagmire that is DC  ?

What's amazing is that you can't even sort of see how distorted your own perspective is. So many T-fans are like that, it really makes you wonder where the hell you all got the cool-aid. But, we kind of already know - a gargantuan part came from Fox News Channel. Its what has gotten ahold of Trump, too. I take it back - cool-aid probably isn't a very good metaphor for the Fox phenomenon: Invasion of the Body Snatchers sound more like it. Fluck, you people are scary.

The irony is in that your socialist B.S. rebuilding America you keep recycling the same hypocrisy over and over again  and so never gaining traction  for the "real progress"   that you so  constantly call for.

          Definition of Collusion
-The Clinton bought and paid for" Dossier " is the collusion.
-The whole DNC "for sale by owner "sign  is the collusion .
-The Clinton , DNC and obvious , oblivious media bias is the collusion .
-The Sanders / DNC " fire sale "  is the collusion .
-The Brazzile / Clinton DNC cash price purchase is collusion .

You know , if you were truly of the  " informed ", you would know instant popularity contests are sophomoric to begin with and ultimately mean nothing .   That's why the popular vote doesn't elect Presidents .  Look at Bill Clinton's polls during the whole W.H.sex / lying / impeachment  charges , he held a high popularity poll .  Did it mean we didn't have   a rapist for a president ? No.  It mean't he was simply charismatic and his following  pretty shallow .

Now  we have a president with no popular  charisma ,   low popularity numbers yet highly successful in leadership , economics ,  wall street popularity and very effective U.S. leadership ! See why you electoral college is the best way to truly run a country ?

People like you are the product of decades of heavy GOP marketing and anti-marketing. Everyone knows that aside from the ignorant victims, themselves. Unfortunately, that's what you are, horse - and you don't even realize it. To use one of Trump's favorite responses: Sad.

You're as enamored with Trump as any young girl was ever fascinated & OBSESSED with Twilight's Edward Cullen - and you have been thoroughly taught that anyone who isn't fascinated with him is stupid, to say the least. That's pretty much what those little girls did... Just screamed loud enough and insisted that their favorite fairytale character was a REAL-make-believe vampire, when he was just a half-a*ssed placeholder for a grown woman's sick sexual fantasies that led to the dangerous, dysfunctional blockbuster, 'Fifty Shades of Grey'.

You and I have agreed in the past that there is TOO MUCH fighting going on; and that its a 2-way street - and yet, you can't talk like it. You continue to regurgitate the one-sided crap you watch. Stop watching politics altogether for a couple weeks... or just watch your favorite mystery or whatever... or don't watch anything, go play in a sandbox... and see how much your mind might come more into its own.

That's exactly what I'm talking about Misfit , Bias .  I actually dislike Trump very much , why do I dislike him ?  Have you ever asked ?  I too was surprised in the primaries yet realized fully and immediately the alternative in political hypocrisy , You buy it and that's fine but don't tell me  I have to believe in liberal ideology or I'm racist , bigoted , mysoginist , ignorant ..............etc.   That all you got ?  For gods sake , the left should use it's head instead of its celebrity  likability or  dislike .   I do know very well however the difference between a leader that I don't like and an image that I love and that cannot lead  !

I'm enamored with Trump ? I was enamored with Bill Clinton once too , I was very enamored with Jimmy Carter too ,that make me a liberal ? No , but what I am is informed rather than emoted like yourself ,  You cannot emote your way through a process of recognizing true  leadership Misfit   .  By the way  "the sandbox' is a great movie besides a nice place to play   ,  Yet there are times I can't even place your adherence to your ideology much above that level of maturity .

If I'm  " a product of heavy decades of GOP marketing ......."  and in truth I'm a product of both GOP and DNC  then why are you not only a product of your DNC but the entire education system and media  bias ?  Your obviously younger than I  and in that sense , as there are more young than old here it seems , I can't wait until your inexperience and youth kind of catches up a little , politically speaking . It will be a much better world.

Not just America, The world, too, is not enamored by The Donald. Out of a list of 37 countries surveyed by the Pew Research Center in Washington, 22 of them said they trusted Russian President Vladimir Putin to do the right thing on matters of world affairs more so than they trusted the U.S. president. Even though Putin does not rank well, he is better than Trump in most of the nations we surveyed.

As Donald Trump repeatedly says, he is NOT the president of the rest of the world, but The United States. I could give a rip about what anyone else thinks. Were we not just talking about outside influence on an election? Yet we seem to think the people of france or merkel should set our presidential preference.... Obama went all over the world apologizing, bowing, and it all it got him was snickers in the background. The world loved running all over the US the past 8 years. Dang straight I like a man who will stand up TO THE REST OF THE WORLD! What would you think if Japan decided that DC was just not up to snuff... and racist...so their embassy will be in San Francisco? Isreal's capital is in Jerusalem. End of story. We are just so scared of the rest of the world...when it should be the REST of the world scared of us. I'd tired of the whimpy past 8 years when we got walked all over.

Colonialism and intimidation, the rightwing mantra? Is this not true, teacher? Lincoln debated with Stephen Douglas over just such a concept, America being the terror of the world rather than apositive example to emulate, it was obvious even back then who was the progressive and who was the rightwinger. Is this the kind of stuff that you use to teach?

One other reason Putin is more popular is the BRICS.
Trump has hurt relationship with Cuba. Spread violent Islamic extremism in the Middle East and Africa to the nuclear ‘deal’ with Iran and Russia’s antics. The US greatest beating are coming from the BRICS countries.

Brazil, seen as one of the traditional US allies, along with Australia, Britain, Egypt, France, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea and Ukraine, are amongst the group that have recently joined forces with Beijing in the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), despite Washington’s warnings. This is being viewed as a huge slap in the face for the Americans. China surpassed the US as Brazil’s largest trade partner. Also established a strong foothold in typically American dominated Latin America. “After a decade of enhanced relations, the China-Latin American relationship has matured, and policies and practical.. There are a host of issues where the US and China are codependent, but are often seen as not speaking to one anothe

To summarize, the state of relations between Washington and Moscow are broken and are at their lowest point since the end of the Cold War.

Then we have the last BRICS member, South Africa,

Fast forward 20 years and the two countries are still arguing over chicken.South Africa has been taxing poultry imports from the US

Russia is going in the right direction, not the US. Even Trump mobster can not frighten worldwide countries together with wars,  prisons and a jealous God with angels.

Colluded with russia? Hillary clinton has so many ties to russia... you people also forget that hillary and the DNC paid for that "dossier," from russia...then the US govt used that info to eavesdrop on trump. DNC money was funneled to russians... and of course when all is said and done, people will once again be reminded that john podesta's (hillary's campaign chairman) brother tony podesta, was a lobbyist for a russian bank. Paul manafort worked for a ukraine firm that also employed tony podesta. There is no collusion on trump's part. And what is the difference between any "collusion," and obama parading world leaders out to tell americans NOT to vote for trump? How many news stations kept repeating the president of mexico, urging the united states to stop trump? Comey, FBI, mueller, lynch, NSA, hillary, obama, susan rice,....they all stink in this mess.... just wait until a real investigation starts, as rep congress is vowing to do.

The sad thing is, if people asked questions like this of hillary and obama, we got called names. Over and over. Somehow to question them was antiwoman and racist. We were told to shut up and respect the office. Okay, I'll turn it back on them. be quiet and respect the office. And believe you me, I and millions of Americans thought Obama disrespected the office on a daily basis. That pallet of American dollars at the feet of iranian terrorists was deplorable. Almost all polls are mere PR tools rather than honest and unbiased efforts to seek real information. I've seen analyses of several in which there is a great deal of "cooking the books," sometimes by the wording of the question and sometimes by a rather remarkable selectiveness about whom they poll. As with much modern "scientific research," they are designed to produce a predetermined result.

I'm not pleased with all of Trump's policy decisions, but I am pleased to see the MSM (and Hollywood) exposed for what they are. The swamp draining seems to be moving along, if more slowly than many of us hoped.

I'm also often puzzled when liberals' sources of information are none other than corporate media. I think it's 6 corporations that control all the major media in the US, all of them controlled by a small number of people. There has also been some documentation that some of the major media get their marching orders from the CIA.

Is all the excitement about Trump's imminent downfall perhaps related to the email he supposedly received from Wikileaks? The one that all the major media so breathlessly reported? The one where the major media falsified the date? (Or their sources falsely reported the date, and--wait for it!--no one bothered to check.) http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-12-1 … cle-ages-0

The ugliness of the right?  Seriously?  Does anyone on the left have the ability to grasp the concept of "hypocrisy?"  There is an old saying the left should hear.  It goes "Look at your own home before you complain about my grass."  The left has denied people to get coffee because they've had on a Donald Trump hat.  They're so afraid of the right telling the truth they prevent speakers from the right from speaking on campuses.  They physically abused Trump supporters regularly at his rallies.  Let us not forget it was a Democrat who shot Republican congressmen.  The list goes on and on.  We won't even speak about regular creation of fake news by the left.  The left is upset because they can't stop President Donald Trump. Hypocrisy abounds with both parties Mike, so don't claim the left holds a monopoly there.

Dean Taylor, you asked for information to support the claim that the CIA has been giving "marching orders" to major media groups. Here's one example: http://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/ … ld%203.JPG

One of the more notable cases was Udo Ulfkotte, who's book "Journalists for Hire: How the CIA Buys the News," was published in 2014. He didn't live too long after that. https://nationalvanguard.org/2017/01/ge … then-dies/

Then of course there is Operation Mockingbird, a CIA-based initiative to control mainstream media. You can read about it here: http://www.collective-evolution.com/201 … -academia/

There is lots of information available on this subject. Surely you must realize that government control of the media, including the entertainment media and music industry, is a matter of critical importance in shaping public opinion. Then there is the matter of control of academia.

Ahorseback has sometimes described some of those posting here as naive. Do you suppose that the world's power brokers leave public opinion and public values and social mores to chance?

    1. Dean Traylor profile image94
Dean Traylorposted 10 months agoin reply to this

      Blue Heron,
I checked out those sites. And to be frank, I'm pretty shocked...that these were used as sources. First off, do you realize that National Vanguard is splinter group/publication of National Alliance? These are white supremacist sites (and the originator of it has been convicted of having underage material, too -- not exactly a model of integrity)
      Here's a link: https://www.splcenter.org/fighting-hate … l-vanguard

Collective -Evolution is way out there. It's also known as a click-bait site as well as a promoter of "woo" -- supernatural or conspiracy.
Lastly, Zero Hedge is...well... here's a page that best describes it: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Zero_Hedge

Now don't get me wrong: the CIA as well as other clandestine organizations have done some nefarious stuff, but the evidence in this matter is sketchy at best.
Sorry, but I need credible evidence rather than conspiracies.

  24. blueheron profile image96

There are dozens of social "movements" that on close examination give a very strong impression of government/media social engineering. To me, as a woman, the feminist movement that began in the early 1970s stands out. Was the real agenda to improve the economic and social status of women?

By 1970, the US was broke (mainly from the Viet Nam War) and defaulted on its debts. That is, Nixon closed the gold window in 1971--and effective default. Inflation spun out of control throughout the 70s. The government needed women to join the workforce in large numbers, both to create a larger pool of taxable income and to disguise the ravages of inflation. The media threw all its weight behind this drive to get women into the workforce and continually denigrated the stay-at-home mom and housewife.

If in fact the purpose of the feminist movement had been to improve the status of women, it would have focused at least equally on strengthening their economic rights and status as mothers and homemakers.

The actual result of "women's liberation" has been to free men from all social, economic, and sexual responsibility--and place these burdens squarely on women.
