I am seeking the Holy Grail in Religion forum, a thread which simply worships and adores God by stating the joy and peace found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
In my previous attempt I had thought that atheists would have been the biggest challenge. On the contrary, rude believers ruined the day. So this time I am asking that each participant be limited to 2 posts per week.
Just share your experience, belief, hope, faith in the Good News. That's all. Keep it simple. Keep it real.
I will begin by saying that the everlasting gospel has been the same from Genesis to Revelation, the promise of a Redeemer Who came and offered us life in all its fullness. The path of Jesus is one of hope, inner peace, and the upward way. Because we are human we have sin and guilt, because He is Love He forgives and pardons. So in Jesus I find a reason for tomorrow, a reason to go on. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the power of God unto salvation.
"I am seeking the Holy Grail in Religion forum, a thread which simply worships and adores God by stating the joy and peace found in the gospel of Jesus Christ."
How can there be any joy and peace believing in a doctrine of eternal punishment and damnation (which no doubt you do believe in) when this will most likely include all your nearest and dearest who do not believe?
Bearing the above in mind, would you mind explaining how we can find the Good News within what you believe?
Would you also be kind enough to explain, too, when and where The Lord Jesus Christ preached a 'holy' grail?
I trust I am being polite enough for you?
I had not planned to use up my second post for the week so early but as the OP I will offer some responses.
@ yes2truth: Please allow this thread to be a place where the Good Shepherd can lead us beside still waters as we are affirmed by the faith of our community.
Just share your experience, belief, hope, faith in the Good News. That's all. Keep it simple. Keep it real.
As to the assumptions: The use of the Term Holy Grail here is a simple literary device, not a King Arthur or Knight Templar object. Will an English teacher please explain how the term is used to symbolise the ideal essence of a thing. This is not being posted here for debate or justification, but you are also off base when you assume that I believe in eternally burning hell.
The last 3 of my church's 28 fundamentals will tell you our beliefs on those issues. Please go to a new thread to discuss them. Let us create a demilitarised zone of praise and testimony here.
@lady_E: Great point, I could have used a better term. Was talking about examples like:

Now that I have used up my two posts for the week, I look forward to writing hubs and coming back here to be blessed by the posts of faith.
Meanwhile writers: Get some sleep, get some form of physical exercise every day, eat healthy, drink lots of water, honour God, love your family, be kind to humanity. The Google AdSense money may come in trickle or in a great flow; the kingdom must come with power and glory.
"yes2truth: Please allow this thread to be a place where the Good Shepherd can lead us beside still waters as we are affirmed by the faith of our community."
I will, once you have answered my very relevant and pertinent questions.
Furthermore, I am Born Again, so the still waters are with me all the time. If you need 'leading to them' then that tells us all we need to know about your phoney religious credentials.
Don't listen to yes2truth, he is void of logic; as he has demonstrated several times in comments to my hubs
Spiritual understanding needs no logic.
Get back to your fairy land brainwashed world of thinking that the banking and financial world is not corrupt and that everything the media tells you is true. Better to lack logic than be a deluded lemming and numb skull.
Are we now going to get another demonstration of your command of expletives, for that is something you are very good at!!??
A nice message, but I don't think their are any "rude" believers on Forums. Also, as a christian, maybe you shouldn't refer to your fellow believers in that light. What happened to brotherly love? Regards, E.
Lady E.,
I wish I was from wherever you are from.
You dont think there are any "rude" believers!
Its one thing to believe, or claim to believe for that matter, its a whole different thing to act upon such beliefs.
Taking or claiming a mantle whether its Christian, Buddhist, Muslim or Gnostic doesnt ensure that you have any understanding of the tenets of your claimed faith, that you act upon those beliefs or that you are a civil (unrude) person.
I will gladly put forth the theory, that the most vocal are usually the least informed and the most rude.
Glendon, has just posted one of the most sane and least divisive posts these religious threads have ever seen.
Why would you come along and nitpick and by such an 'action" (as I know nothing about your beliefs) demean the nature of the message so early on.
Perhaps you should consider what "rude" is
One beautiful quote that comes to mind and helps me to stay humble in everyday life (forgive me, if I mistype or quote a little off)
Be not righteous over-much, neither make thyself over-wise.
ecc 7:?
oddly enough you responded to the lady with rudeness.
My comments were not directed at you. Also, read Elliots response to your post (above this posting). It might give you some food for thought...
If I were to share my feelings here, It would take forever....I live by His Word...From cover to cover....What peace and joy fills the soul of those who truly believe...Wonderful Almighty God is He....
Most Christians today are known by their actions, and not what they say....Of course there are some, who speak out, rudely, as you say, but if you read the forums, you'll find that most start speaking out rudely, after they are rudely spoken (written) to....Even I made that mistake, but now...Silence is golden.....God Bless!
I rather see only two forum entries per week, screened by the staff for any Religious entry period!

The Holy Grail is a myth, it doesn't exist. Here's something funny, I worship, adore the Godhead (God the Father and Jesus Christ), but because I believe that the Godhead is not weak willed, nor malevolent I am condemned for it.
Hmm, quaint, so you're declaring yourself some sort of admin here. "I am asking that each participant be limited to 2 posts per week"
Also about the rude thing; this is often stated by people who don't like hearing something of a different wind.
God will save everyone, but not all during this age. Those He is saving in this age have been pre-determined since the beginning.
I am joyous that God the Father and God the Son are not cruel malevolent beings who will torture people for all eternity, solely because that person failed to seek them out.
But, as y2t asked, you believe that those who don't believe will be subjected to cruel torture for all eternity? What's the good news in that? Or is it only good news, because at least you're saved?
I will use my first post for this week to post this prayer.
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen
I will use my second post this week to post this other prayer that we should all know.
Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy Name;
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen
This prayer should teach us that if we expect God to forgive us we have to forgive others that have transgressed against us.
It's an Old Covenant prayer. The Lord Jesus Christ was under The Law when He walked this earth that's why it's conditional: forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those that trespass against us.
We are now forgiven - period, if we are Born Again for there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ.
Back to your money changers tables Mr Make Money.
Sumerians, the Egyptians, the Greeks, the Romans, all the empires, all searching for answers to the great questions of life.
The answer is Jesus. The answer is love.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His son into the world to condemn it, but to save it" John 3: 16,17 NEW LIVING TRANSLATION

Why do Christians feel the need to tell us about their religious beliefs?I don't have a problem with Christianity or any religion for that matter, but I view religion/spirituality as a personal and privvate matter and feel that it's best kept that way unless one is specifically asked to expand on...

Believe in Jesus Christ, what do you have to lose?If the bible is true, and it is, faith in Jesus Christ promises an abundant life now and for eternity. Jesus came to give us something not take something away. So what do you have to lose?

Atheists, do you despise Jesus or just religions (in general) that worship God?Such God worshiping religions would include Judaism and Islam. Also, did something happen to you to make you angry about "God" or is this just a scientific decision you made in college?? Many atheists demand...

As Christians, we should be the most kind and loving because of our faith and because of the ultimate example, Jesus Christ. I've noticed that some denominations are criticized for being different within Christianity. For example, many mainstream Christians seem to focus on the teachings of Paul...

Can only Christians and those who accept Jesus Christ go to heaven?According to Christianity, only those who have openly accepted Jesus Christ and the Christian faith may go to heaven. If that is the case, what about the African tribe who has never heard of of Jesus? Even if they are good people,...
