Why not?  Are we supposed to believe we truly came from nothing and will somehow return to nothing once more?  I believe we always were and always will be, constantly changing forms from life to life.

I believe the life we're living now isn't the first or the last, just one of many.  Our present body dies, but a soul never does.  It'll keep coming back in a new body.  There's a theory that "once a human, always a human", but I'm of a different school that believes sometimes we come back as an animal.  A cat, for instance, or a dog. A little "vacation" as it were. ;D

I take it that you mean in the form of a soul?

No, I think there is nothing like a soul that carries on our individual "life force" after our body dies.

I do think however that the matter that makes us up continues. We are after all a mass of various chemicals and elements. Those transform into other materials, some may be alive othersnot alive. But they don't have an awareness of our existance when we were alive.

As a Christian, I definitely believe in life after death. I believe that when I die my soul will live on and then I will be given a new body.

Absolutely yes. All things that we have done in this world will get their returns after our death -- in our grave and in the day after or the judgement day as well. If we do good things when we were alive in this world, we will be treated well in the grave and will also get a good judgement after the doomsday. Nobody can run away from this, nor you, nor me, nor a bad man, nor a good man, nor a king, nor a president, nor a genie, nor an evil, and  nor dajjal (the evil man cursed by all muslims in this world). That time will come, soon or later.

I believe that our individual spirits never die and that we exist in some form forever. I also believe that because we are genetically enhanced by past relatives(I do mean ancestors that date back thousands of years) That in a manner, we do never die and our genetics continue down the line and will, until the end of human existence."The River of Life Runs Deep", one of my hubs, expresses my feelings very well.

No, I don't believe. I KNOW there is life after death. If I can dream and see beyond this world (which I do), then there must be something else soooo real and solid beyond the shadows of death.

Yes I do, I had an out of body experience when I was 11 or 12 and I know it is real because I saw it.  http://zzron.hubpages.com/hub/myexperience

Oh yes, I do. Two days after my boss died of embolism (he was an Army Major, only 33 years old, and the father of two young children and one on the way) he appeared to me in his fatigue uniform while I was on lunch break. I had been very upset about his sudden death but he was smiling and looked serene and even communicated with me, teasing me about what I was doing. It only lasted a few seconds, and it happened 12 years ago, but I still remember it as if it were yesterday. I also had other, more personal experiences that confirm my belief in the Afterlife. Besides, if you watch "I Survived... Beyond and Back" on the Biography channel on Sundays you will see many first hand accounts of Near Death Experiences. It's quite interesting, actually.

    Absolutely, I do believe!

Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Yes I do. We all have to die at some point, but we all still have to come back sometime, so we can learn from all the mistakes we made in the past, no matter how many times it takes. I feel we are always Re- born over and over again.

I believe there is life after life because as a Christian the Bible tells me so.

Acts 24:15 and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. 16 So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.

As a Christian, yes, I believe there is Life After Death but, before I get attacked since hating Christians seems like the latest fad to be spreading across this country and HP, I also believe religion is a very personal thing.

Basically, to each his own and I'm happy in my beliefs. I hope you're happy in yours.

Yes, we are a soul with a body, not a body with a soul, and we return to spirit form for eternity, or at least until God decides to send us 'out' on another quest!

YEP. Can't prove it, but that's what faith is...the assurance of things not seen.

Definitely no, and I particulary hope that there is no Judgment Day involved, otherwise I'm really in trouble!
