Goals Planning Success-The 60 day Challenge Team on HubPages

The 60 Day Challenge Participants

What is the 60 day Challenge?

"This 60-day HubChallenge is more aggressive approach to writing hubs and following up with the proper promotion of them to optimize results. You will be strongly encouraged by your fellow hubbers to stick with it because it will benefit the entire group.

The 30 Day HubChallenge is like going to the gym a couple days a week where this 60 Day Challenge is like having a team with a personal trainer 7 days a week. "

-Special Thanks to KCC Big Country for composing our new description

The Hubchallenge Log

Each of our participants is creating a Hub Challenge Log, where they will initially share their goals and motivations.

We will all log our efforts, what we have written and what promotion steps we have taken. After the first phase of the 60 day Challenge these logs will be instrumental in our interlinking and backlinking promotions. These logs also serve as great motivators and planning instruments.

Wonderfully done Sunforged. I like the 60 day challenge team. Infact you make me look more good than I really think I am!! And Sunforged I don't see your name in the list, are you making way for another participant. I am sure within few days you would be flooded with requests from people wanting to join the challenge. Good luck for that. You would have tough time handling requests. And Thanks once again for the wonderful description.

Well we also have Mark Knowles and Wordscribe. Two more to add to the list and most welcome to the challenge group! A great hub SF, and thankyou also to KCC.

I'm now going to write in my log, about what I've been doing the last couple of hours.

Good luck everyone - lots of hard work but lets have fun and support each other along the way!

Wow, you are all quick!

@enlightened, I published early for you as promised, i am adding more hubbers and a couple of thank yous.

The hubbers are added to this page AFTER their hublog appears in the rss feed. There are quite a few more who are planning on joining, its a busy weekend here in the states, 80 degrees here in NY and easter weekend, Im sure on monday we will have a better idea of our final team.

I have a couple of updates for the hublogs - a new tag

"60DC-log" to help us with related linking ( tags and rss feeds will be a big part of our process)

and a little suggestion for your logs: after you publish a link, TRY and add a custom summary of around 200 words...other hubbers can use this as a base for promoting you ...as can you. Ill add this suggestion to the previous hub and our forum thread.

englightenedsoul profile image

englightenedsoul 6 years ago

You are a wonderful soul. And thanks again for publishing it early. I just can't wait to see the final 60 day challenge team.

And do we need to add the new tag to the hubs already published? And also will a custom summary of 100-150 words do??I am writing a series on revenue sharing bookmarking sites and there is not much to write. I am writing only 500-600 words. Though I will try my level best to write it and it will only be a problem for this series of hubs only. And also in my hublog do I need to put live links. I have just put it in text?

sunforged profile image

sunforged 6 years ago from Sunforged.com Author

the new tag is ONLY for your hublog..so the other hublogs can use the rss w/o having to dig through all the rss links like I just did :D

Revenue Sharing Bookmark sites! well, we may have to showcase your efforts when we get to the promo phase!

Not only should you use live link sin your hublog..It should be keyword anchored text links, if you can use your keywords in a live anchored link...do it! That was going to be my suggestion for your log, but you caught me first.

Okay, my hub log is ready to be added - I'll be updating it later today with a few hubs I created in the past week or two...

Sunforged I again have questions for you. When I clicked on the link of your name(assuming it was your profile link) I read your Ultimate link wheel article for writers. I am assuming that this would be base while promoting our hubs. So I would like to tell you that I do some basic promotion each time I publish my hub. Now the problem is when I read your article I came to know my promotion methods was all wrong. I do a blog post after every hub but the blog post are sometimes not even 50 words. Also I submit my hubs to shetoldme, redgage, snipsly, and xomba. But here also the post is about 50-100 words. Also I would like to ask that is it ok if I continue doing this basic promotion. Let me know if it disturbs your scheme of things and advice me if my promotion methods are wrong?

englightenedsoul profile image

englightenedsoul 6 years ago

I am always ready to help in whatever possible ways I can. You made me realise that till this date I was only working like a hardworking donkey. Can you imagine I have submitted most of my hubs to more than 40 sites(Rss and Url submission). And the traffic used to die out after 2-3 days. I now can see the reason why. Though I have enough stamina and patience for all this and If you would like I can even make 1000 submissions a day(provided the summaries of all the hubbers are ready). I am so happy, I have already started learning.

sunforged profile image

sunforged 6 years ago from Sunforged.com Author

@englightenedsoul -

Since this article is was on my profile I figured it would be easier to just grab a random hub link.

That link wheel is not directly applicable to our challenge, it sounds like you have been doing just fine in your technique...probably a little keyword tweaking, on-page optimization and slightly longer summaries at your backlink sites will give you the push you need.

The idea is that 200-300 words gives you more chances to develop some long tails and get the eye of google upon you.

A anchored backlink with NO surrounding text works just fine to. So, I wouldnt sweat the past efforts and it doesnt sound like you were doing it all wrong, just different thats all.

englightenedsoul profile image

englightenedsoul 6 years ago

Hmmm...Thanks for the explanation and I would surely look into it. Though I am pathetic with keyword research, I am sure I would learn it in the course of time.

I'm in the process of writing my challenge log and will publish it today. I was thinking that maybe it would be a good idea if we also include on our log the topics we are planning to write on. This might give others ideas on what to write on and our hubs would be more in synch?
