   Found this website today and thought it was neat, and kind of funny. Put in the URL of your HubPages profile and it will analyze your writing style, vocabulary, etc, and tell you how old it thinks you are. Mine was spot on! Check it out:

      That's fun. I write like someone 51-65 years old. Actually that makes sense to me; it's not my age but I'd agree I write like I'm that age.
      
      Edit: Just checked on my own websites; two of them I'm 18-25 and one of them I'm 51-65. Again, still makes sense to me, considering subject matter of those sites and how I orient the articles.

      Obviously you can write like your age. It may mean you can write for teens also.

   Mine was eerily correct - I even entered a hub to see if it would change. Nope. They must have creepy access to my personal data.  Scary.

    Interesting, and it only missed by one year.  It said I write like someone 50-65 years old; I turned 66 earlier this year!

    I just took this test and mine was dead wrong!!!!!!!!!!! It calculated that my profile was written by someone between the ages of 51 and 65 years old. I'm not THAT mature, thank you very much. I'm twenty-five on Monday! I loved doing this, though. This was fun!

    I gave it one of my former hubs that Google hated. A brilliant, experienced, mature, 65-to-100-year-old I am it said. Wrong. Well, brilliant, mature, experienced, yes. Just not 65-100.
    
    The lesson? The stupider your hub, the better Google likes it.

    Based on my HP profile URL:   I got 51 to 66, which is right.
    
    Based on copying PD's approach, I tried a Hub that I thought was a subject/style least likely to give away my age - and I got 65 to 100.   Wrong - but understandable, I guess.
    
    
    
    (I couldn't resist...     I tried my Bubblews profile and guess what...   36 to 50 on that one.        "Wronger" than than the 65 to 100 thing.      )

       I also did a couple of my current hubs.
       
       One that I considered a dingbat hub.
       One that I considered an intelligent hub.
       
       Both came back as the same age range, 55-64 or some such.
       
       Which, incidentally, happens to be right.

          I don't really have any true dingbatty Hubs left after major clean-up, but I tried my shallowest and, to me, one that ought to go next (which is casual review of a cell phone that may/may not still be available).  That one got me 26 to 35.  For some reason they apparently aren't lumping a subject like a less than top-of-the-line/entry-level "smart-ish" phone in with the "heavier-duty-older" set.    I'm wonder if they got "the Lisa thing" associated with the profile and are somehow factoring in/averaging (that type of thing) the subject (electronics/cell phones) - but then (maybe?) "assuming" that the absolute youngest set generally has the better smart phones?
          
          In the meantime, I'll be expecting to see some new ads for people between the ages of 26 and 100.    Either way, it's probably like checking your blood pressure can be:    If you don't like the numbers you get at first you just keep taking the test over and over again until you get the numbers you like.

    The AgeAnalyzer thinks ---------------------/2013/12/i-like-to-pretend-im-carrot.html is written by someone 13-17 years old.
    
    I can still be young when I want to.

    Mine is 26-35. Very wrong because I´m 53. It´s funny though how this computer can analyzed my age. It keeps me thinking that I might have written hubs for these age brackets. LOL!

    It must've been thrown off by all the articles I've written about KISS... but if that site knew anything about music, they'd know that nowadays most KISS fans tend to be old goats like me..

    Pretty cool! I tried three of my Hubs and it figured out my age range correctly on two. The third was about computers and it estimated my age in the mid-30s. Oh! to be 30 again.

    What about the idea that you should write to a 7th grade level. I guess it could still guess your age, or try to, by the way you write.

    Well--- yes, it did say they were 60% wrong, But mine pegged me between 51-65. Those were very good years, (but  missed by about  6 to 20 years).

    huh...mine said~Some assembly required~and closed my browser...well...that's a bunch of Bull!...so I went back and submitted my highest ranking hub...then it said~Please stop as we are unable to evaluate multiple personality's~...Of course...I blame myself...

    Thanks for the link to the Age Analyzer tool! That's really neat!
    I have found this other tool which tells you which famous writer you write like. It is a very interesting tool and really grabbed my attention!

       I tried a former hub and a current hub.
       
       It came up with two authors I'd never heard of.
       
       I'll check the library next time. I may have found a whole bunch of new books to read.

       Cool. Pasted an excerpt from an old Hub, said I write like George Orwell. I consider that accurate, actually. Then I pasted a personal blog post and it said I write like Cory Doctorow. I'm going to have to look that one up, don't know that writer.
       
       Just googled Cory. I haven't read any of his stuff but a brief description of him makes me think that's accurate too.

    I pasted some excerpts from what I consider one of my funniest hubs, about ways to save on gasoline and, oddly enough, it said I write like Stephen King. Eeek!
    Then I picked a serious piece  on an art history subject and came up like HP. Lovecraft. Maybe I should be doing horror fiction, but I don't even like that stuff.

    This disturbs me somehow. I mean, I know Fate/Stay Night is awful, but it's not exactly C'thuloid horror-levels of awful.
