Hello Hubbers, how are you doing, I see you all have been working very hard in the past two weeks with the Back to school HubMob.  We managed an amazing 114 hubs on the topic!    Thank you very much for supporting the weekly HubMob.

This week we are going to support the Deaf Awareness Week which takes place on the last week of September.  The purpose of Deaf Awareness Week is to draw attention to deaf people, their accomplishments and their issues.  So this week I will ask you to think about this topic and write your best hubs about deaf organizations holding activities in your local area, deaf awareness events and the many ways to inform and educate people about deafness.

Some subtopics for our Deaf Awareness Week HubMob can be:

    Deaf culture
    Preventing deafness
    Sign language
    Coping with deaf relative
Deafness in the media: cinema, tv, etc
Best education techniques for people with hearing difficulties.
    Special activities for deaf people
    Review of books about deafness
Legal rights for deaf and hard of hearing people
    Do's and don'ts

To join this week's HubMob please follow the steps below:

    1. YOU MUST START YOUR HUB CLICKING THIS LINK.  Choose the Answer the Request green button.  Choose the MAKE A HUB ABOUT IT option.

    2. Choose a relevant title for your Hub to get a good ranking in the search engines, AVOID starting your title with "Weekly HubMob"

    3. Select the category on your hub to best suit your topic.

    4. Include the HubMob RSS Feed in your hub: http://hubpages.com/question/67844/hubm … ew&rss
For more information on how to add the RSS feed to your hub you can  click here

    5. Add the HubMob graphic below to your hub so that everyone who reads it will know that it is part of the official HubMob topic of the week.

    http://i43.tinypic.com/rup3mg.jpg

    6. After you publish your HubMob Hub, come back to the forum and post a link to your hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.  Take advantage of the free publicity!

If you are still not sure about what is a HubMob and the benefits of taking part in one I created this guide http://hubpages.com/hub/What-is-a-HubMo … o-join-one please feel free to come up with any questions if you have any doubts left.

The hubmob usually changes every week, on Tuesday. You have till then to write your hub about the topic.

Actually, I usually post the new topic on Monday mornings.  But yes, you have a whole week to submit your HubMob hub

When do you stop accepting Hubs on a given topic?  Is it on Monday or on Tuesday?  Any specific time of day?

    1. Princessa profile image82
Princessaposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Hi, the request stays open, which means that you can submit a hub on answering a HubMob question at any time.

The benefit of doing it during the alloted week is that you get more exposure.  You are allowed to post a link promoting your hub in this thread and your hub gets listed in other hot hubs through the rss feed.

hello! I was excited about this week`s topic, and as a lot of other hubbers have been planning for a while to participate in one of the HubMob competitions.
As a sports writer I wanted to bring something unusual and of course sports related to the table, that is how I came across the amazing story of a deaf professional football player.

I hope it will inspire some people with ot without disability to never give up on their dreams.

I'm new to the HubMob like I stated in my first posting to this forum and I have just one quick question. If someone who has had a history with the HubMob and really knows how it works could answer this question it would be greatly appreciated.

Anyway when I finished my first hub I noticed that my category could be better match with my content. I changed the category from the orginal topic I think it was activism. My question though is will this affect anything about my HubMob status?
