Hi Everyone! Hope you are all having a better holiday weekend than we are. Started Friday evening with a trip to urgent care with my son, strep throat.
Took another trip to urgent care this evening for my daughter, strep throat. Not a very relaxing or productive weekend for me. At least I was home to comfort my poor sicklings!

YAY!!! Doesn't gluten free shopping become super easy in the gluten free section (even for ADD)?!?
Just joking about the ADD.... you had me there last week!!
If you are changing your diet to become gluten free, make sure that your meals are balanced and that you are taking in the daily percentages for your vitamin and mineral requirements. I suggest a gluten free multi-supplement at the beginning until you have your diet balanced. Even then, it doesn't hurt to continue the multis -- you body either uses it, stores what it needs (such as iron) or you excrete it (such as vitamin C).
I have to write some gluten free recipes for you. I have some great cakes, cookies, pancakes and meals that are delicious and easy to make. Problem is, I was hoping to do these for June's contest, but that means I have to make each recipe and photograph each step. I don't have the time to do this as I am looking for work and a new home, packing up the house, garage sales galore to sell all our stuff, coaching (2 soccer teams, rugby and lacrosse). I bit off more than I can chew!!!!
If I can't post them, I'll email you some of them. Let me know what you like -- cookies, bread, breakfast, main course, desserts, soup.

Hi Ya Klara. I hope you had a great Memorial Day. I spent my day over my sister's house. She has the house right on the Bay that has been in our family since the early 70's. It was left to her and I when my parents passed away.
The sun is HOTTTTT. better than rain right. There were hundreds upon hundreds of boats out today. Got to go for I am writing a hub on miracles. Hummm they do happen and I am proof of that

Good evening everyone!
Just came back from another soccer game -- 40 minute drive one way to the field. Poor boys played non-stop since my roster only had 7 players!! And then, one shows up late, and technically, isn't allowed to play but the ref and the other coach agreed to let him on since the guys were exhausted. Didn't want to put him on since he was bad mouthing his team mates and my assistant coach!!! I never lose it at the players, but tonight, I actually threatened to bench this mouthy kid for two games if he didn't show some respect to us, the coaches, and to his team mates. That shut him up!!

Yes I have been so tired coming home from work. I just ate my dinner and it is now 11:55 pm.I walked another 12 miles today. Pounds are falling right off LOL
I miss talking to all of you , but the Regional MGR is coming tomorrow so they had everyone stay later to get ready, (clean as a whistle) THEN the CEO of Costco is coming this Wednesday for an inspection etc. The Costco Craze is on TV a couple nights a week and if you see that you will see the CEO and just how this place started and how it it run.
I have to get to beddy for Worky in morning.

I proved myself and I guess they like me. After all I do do everything you can think of, from building homes to maintenance etc etc and now starting tomorrow painting. I had my own painting Comp. years ago and Painted 500,000 $ + homes.

@ BETH how is my girl doing. We keep missing each other . Too much work for me but I LOVE IT and everyone that works there. I landed a wonderful job in a great Company. I really luck out and everything is falling right into place just as I planned it to be.

Kindergarten graduation is the BEST day of the whole school year!!! My little guy graduated last year and I hadn't seen so many smiling faces all in one room for ages!!! They were soooo excited and proud of themselves!!! Have a terrific time with them!!
Hey there Beth. Just got home for 10 am in work. I was hired for PT but they are giving me TONS of hours
The GM talked to me today and asked how I like the job and of course I said I just LOVE it., She said I was doing a wonderful job and the payroll clerk said Oh they are going to keep you after your probation period for sure. That made me so happy and for the GM to give me praise was a wonderful feeling. I haven't had that in 22 years at the other place.
My asst, is looking for another job as well. They hired a Xmarine to take my place and knows nothing about cemeteries at all. Well enough of me talking .. I have to get my dinner in my belly LOL
Have a great weekend. My next day off is next Friday . Working 10 days in a row, but I take it

ours was great -- four cheese was one and the other was chicken parmesan, bruschetta and three cheese. I even made apple pie for dessert. I did bake brownies to go along with the movie, but for some reason, they stuck in my pan. My daughter's friends didn't mind -- they ate it all with their hands. teens!!! The caesar didn't make it to the table for serving -- those teen girls gobbled it all up while they were making it. Now, I have a terrible craving for caesar!!!

Happy Monday!!- I think that my bikini started before you joined. It was a test that some of us were doing and a dare between us. We had to post a pic of ourselves and as attractive as possible to see if it would help with the traffic. Well, it did. I've changed my avatar several times, but the guys always want me to keep this one. I wonder why..... Oh well, this is what we do with old pics, I guess. Good memories of a day long gone!
At least you have red arrows pointing up! Mine are blue and going down, down, down!! I don't get it. Lots of comments on my two new hubs but a sea of blue. It makes me blue!

Today I taught my last class at my home school, where I've taught for 9 years. I had to hide during dismissal because I couldn't face the kids... the tears!

@ Klara -- awe, it must have been extremely emotional for you, and for your students. I know that they would have had tears in their eyes too. You are probably one of the most caring and loving people they have had in their lives. {hug}
@ Cara -- last day yet?!? We have another three weeks to go up here.... final exams beginning next week but the oddest thing, Monday is a PD day. Say what?!? I thought they would have given the kids one last month but I guess it's because we have a stat holiday in May.

Hi Beth--Food is a great motivator. It ALWAYS motivates me. Between my 'emotional eating' and my night shifts I have gained 10# in a mere 6 months. Not good. At my age it is a huge (no pun intended) problem to try to lose it again. I was really doing so well during the summer I lost my job-exercising daily; did the September 5K. Then, I started the new job and between the commute and the hours plus the anxiety of trying to meet the deadline for my pension without anythin g else going wrong...well, it was eat, sleep, work and no exercise. I work 12 hr shits oops, I mean shifts. Rise and shine y'all!
@ Denise -- shits is about right!! working shifts wreaks chaos on your health, as you already now. How much longer till pension kicks in? I lost mine when I left the hospital. still waiting for them to pay me back. yea, that'll never happen!!!
@ mtsi -- well, watcha waiting for?? moose is all cooled and ready for you! it's sunny today but we're gearing up for more wet weather. got drenched at soccer last night. i was hoping for lightening so we could call the game, but no lightening! Instead, there was about an hour's worth of booming from the thunder!
