I know I was not keeping up with the challenge up to now -only 4 hubs in 10 days- but I was hoping to catch up.
Unfortunately I had a ciclyng accident this morning and I will not be fit to meet the challenge.
See you again in 3 weeks
Sorry to hear about your accident Princessa. If it is any consolation I must say you still look stylish even when injured. I broke my toe a couple of years ago, and all I looked like was klutzy.
LOL, thanks SweetiePie, that lifted my mood... I was so embarassed lying down on the middle of the road with my silly little red "skort"...
I am still in a lot of pain an it looks like I'll need to keep the cast for a looooong 3 weeks
The foot should be better in a week or so...
Bye, bye pool parties
I will be hoping for your speedy recovery . I have had my fair share of injuries, so I understand the frustration in not being able to partake in fun activities for awhile.
Oh crap! Get well soon. See - I knew exercise was bad for you.
These threads are never about what I THINK they are going to be about when I read the title
Oh Well, as long as I 'm here, best wishes, speedy recovery, via con huevos etc. etc.
C'mon Princessa..... It's only a flesh wound!!! Soldier On mate you've still on one good arm.....
Sorry to hear about your accident. Get well soon. Lie in the sun, read a few books. Enjoy your time away from the internet.
Thanks Nelle, Pearldiver, Ron, emievil, Mark and Sweetiepie
Medocs are starting to work now... nite nite...
Wow, this thread is not at all what I thought it would be when I read the title.
OR you could get one of those voice to text software packages, and just... SPEAK your blogs! Come to think about it, that's not such a bad idea. They say my writing is very coloquial anyway
Or you can maybe hire a ghostwriter? I think Julie-Ann wrote something to this effect - http://hubpages.com/hub/Hire-Ghostwriter
Hope you get better soon. On the positive side - you now have a ton of material to write about when you are ready to restart in a couple of weeks time - motocycle safety, how long it takes to recover when you break your arm etc etc
What do you mean, quit?
You've still got one good arm!
Just kidding. Relax. Recuperate. And get well soon.
Get better soon Princessa, we'll wait for you. And I agree to SweetiePie, you look quite good this way
Take care of yourself and we shall see you when you are better
I've never broken anything except a nose-twice-and hope that all goes well with you...
I'm sorry to hear about your accident. Feel better soon.
Boy, I think you are the third hubber in the past six months to break an arm.
I hope you have good health insurance
Thanks Uninvited Writer, thanfully health insurance is quite good here in France. I got excellent treatment yesterday at the hospital, in two hours I was all sorted: ambulance, x rays, cast, and all the other exams.
I am just hoping that the lady who run me over at least pays for my bike!
Geeeee, glad your other body parts are okay. One of our teachers had an accident too (a man on a motorcycle hit her while she crossing the street) and she teaches with one arm. She didn't feel like staying at home, she said.
Hope you'll recover soon. Take care...
Owies! I hope you recover quickly so you can get back to cycling??!?
Hope you feel better soon ...
So, will your next hub be in bicycle safety? Sorry, a bad attempt to cheer you up. Don't worry about the challenge ... rest those fingers and come back strong.
Well hope you will be able to convalesce in peace and maybe watch us slave over a hot keyboard !
Too bad this has happened to you. I hope you will be well soon.
Wow Princessa, you really got banged up, LOL (no pun intended). Wishing you a quick and full recovery and LOTS of pampering
Thanks Dottie1, Misha, indian cooking, James S. Thornton, barry,yoshi97, Richard -I am hoping to go back ciclying soon but it looks like I'll be out od service at the very least for 3 weeks . BTW, the doctor I had yesterday was the doctor for the Tour de France
Thanks, ripplemaker, AsherKade, Julie-Ann, Trekkiemelissa, Jane@CM, Ladybird33, world of the wise, tksensei, emievil, darkside and Silver Rose. You are so right Silver Rose, I am already looking into how to make my cast look fashionable... it's not only terribly uncomfortable and painful, but it looks horrible
Sorry to hear about your accident. My friend had similar accident except it was a biker who was speeding on the sidewalk just as my friend was rounding the corner of a building. He suffered head and facial injuries, concussion, and a $14,000.00 hospital bill. They never caught the biker........ Take Care and fast recovery....
totally not the topic i expected to see when reading forum title.
Surprised at the situation though, i would imagine you would be stuck in the house and less active as a result of an injury
get dragon naturally speaking and dictate your hubs! or i think vista even has voice to text built in now
Maybe some of our resident artists can design some designs for your cast ... not me though ... I failed art.
I've had a LOT of experience with casts, and I have found wire coat hangers to be an invaluable asset for relieving itching. I just bend 'em into the shape I need, and go at it. Just don't use the hooked end. Trust me.
You could always write this on the cast ...
'Think I look rough? You should see the guy I clobbered!'
so sad to hear of your mishap...wishing you speedy mending. to cheer you up for you from my garden
So sorry you got hurt. It is always so frustrating when injuries interfere with passions.
Good luck in your healing.
Just caught up with this thread, sorry to hear about your accident! I broke my elbow a few years ago, and it was a drag, limited me very much. As Sweetiepie said, you still look stylish. Get well soon!
Dang! Looks like I'm out, too. I got busy with an order for several articles, now I'm too far behind to catch up. Guess I'll have to regroup and try again.
I read somewhere that you had an accident and I went search to know what happened... I´m sorry to hear Princessa
Hope you´ll recover fast and completely very soon.
And don´t quite riding... accidents happen...
See you around
Hi, I am certainly planning on continuing riding-despite my husbands advice and handcuffs LOL. I love it too much to leave it. Next time though I am going to get a helmet, I was lucky this time, the doctor was amazed I got off so lightly after such a crush.
I've been looking again at your hub on helmets but I have not decided yet which one to get.

To complete my run of bad luck, last night my house was struck by lightning. It fried my computer as well as my modem. I'm using a borrowed 'net stick which keeps giving me errors half the time and based on the service my ISP gives me, I doubt I'll be getting 'net back for awhile (yes, I wrote a...

We did it HubMobsters, we managed to break last year's record with an amazing 97 hubs published for this year's Valentine's HubMob. This makes our 2010 Valentine's and Romance hubmob the second one with most hubs ever after the toys hubmob and its 125 hubs. An amazing number of hubs for...

Hi,About a week ago, I started a thread on Nigerian Child witches in the religious forums. This was after seeing a documentary about this horrific practice. I wanted to ask the religious experts how this could possibly be done by churches in the name of God.Well, as you can imagine, this did not...
