I know I was not keeping up with the challenge up to now -only 4 hubs in 10 days- but I was hoping to catch up.
Unfortunately I had a ciclyng accident this morning and I will not be fit to meet the challenge.

See you again in 3 weeks

Sorry to hear about your accident Princessa.  If it is any consolation I must say you still look stylish even when injured.  I broke my toe a couple of years ago, and all I looked like was klutzy.

LOL, thanks SweetiePie, that lifted my mood... I was so embarassed lying down on the middle of the road with my silly little red "skort"...
I am still in a lot of pain an it looks like I'll need to keep the cast for a looooong 3 weeks sad
The foot should be better in a week or so...

      Bye, bye pool parties sad

I will be hoping for your speedy recovery smile.  I have had my fair share of injuries, so I understand the frustration in not being able to partake in fun activities for awhile.

OR you could get one of those voice to text software packages, and just...  SPEAK your blogs!  smile  Come to think about it, that's not such a bad idea.  They say my writing is very coloquial anyway wink

Hope you get better soon. On the positive side - you now have a ton of material to write about when you are ready to restart in a couple of weeks time - motocycle safety, how long it takes to recover when you break your arm etc etc

Thanks Uninvited Writer, thanfully health insurance is quite good here in France.  I got excellent treatment yesterday at the hospital, in two hours I was all sorted: ambulance, x rays, cast, and all the other exams.

I am just hoping that the lady who run me over at least pays for my bike!

Geeeee, glad your other body parts are okay.  One of our teachers had an accident too (a man on a motorcycle hit her while she crossing the street) and she teaches with one arm. smile She didn't feel like staying at home, she said.
Hope you'll recover soon.  Take care...

Sorry to hear about your accident. My friend had similar accident except it was a biker who was speeding on the sidewalk just as my friend was rounding the corner of a building. He suffered head and facial injuries, concussion, and a $14,000.00 hospital bill. They never caught the biker........ Take Care and fast recovery....

totally not the topic i expected to see when reading forum title.

Surprised at the situation though, i would imagine you would be stuck in the house and less active as a result of an injury

That would be fun... my cast is only 4 days old and rapidly going from radiant white to manky cream...

      Any ideas to relief itching?

  35. B.T. Evilpants profile image61

I've had a LOT of experience with casts, and I have found wire coat hangers to be an invaluable asset for relieving itching. I just bend 'em into the shape I need, and go at it. Just don't use the hooked end. Trust me.

    1. Princessa profile image80
Princessaposted 14 years agoin reply to this

I'll need to try that, when no one is watching me; this is my first cast -and hopefully the last- I am already fed up with it!

Hi, I am certainly planning on continuing riding-despite my husbands advice and handcuffs LOL.  I love it too much to leave it.  Next time though I am going to get a helmet, I was lucky this time, the doctor was amazed I got off so lightly after such a crush.

I've been looking again at your hub on helmets but I have not decided yet which one to get.
